  • What are the Big Three Anime? The Big Three was a term used to describe the three most popular running series during their golden age in Jump - One Piece, Naruto and Bleach. All three series got their common title due to their worldwide popularity and length.
But today i want to talk about how the industry's chase for the next Big Three is a daunting one that may be hurting it rather than helping it.

I think a big three would be
    1.Attack on titan
    2.Demon slayer
And a 3 is hard but maybe chainsaw man?

AOT and Demon slayer for sure have the cultural impact down, i gotta see if Demon Slayer has the legs to carry it all the way but AOT did indeed push Anime as an industry farther into the West and for that i can see why it made your list.

my hero manga rn is really cool but the first couple of seasons were mid but i think rn shigaraki & afo are good villains, deku is actually a decent protagonist, and the fight scenes are very emotional and cool. but if u were to tell me these things about my hero before season 6 then i wouldve disagreed.

a good friend of mine said the same thing but they fact that it took them this long to redirect their course just means they’re going to write themselves into a whole later. not to mention i still struggle with the supporting cast being unbearable. Thanks for watching!

It could just be where I live, but I always assumed the big three was Pokemon, Naruto, One Piece. I've never watched or played any Pokemon media, and I didn't ever start watching Naruto until 2021, but Naruto was big around here in Chicago.
Dragon Ball Z seemed to sit at a number 4 here, which is funny because its the only one I've listed that I can say I'm personally a big fan of and grew up with. (More of a Dragon Ball original fan but that's neither here nor there, nobody watched that show.)
As for Bleach, I think that one's very generational. Very good show, but anyone born 2000 onwards would have been too young to really catch it when it ran on toonami, which was the biggest anime outlet in america for a long while.
Bleach was also too much of a trend setter for its own good, because now when I go to watch it I cant help but feel like I've seen it a million times in newer anime that were inspired by it. Now, Demon Slayer fucking sucks at times, but you get what I'm sayin

Not giving Black Clover my attention, personal irk about the art style.

I was a late bloomer to Bleach personally. in the past i also didn’t think Bleach was one of the big three but as you said Bleach really set in motion some of the biggest modern day anime tropes for suuuure. see back i. the day i though DBZ was one of the big three but apparently it was just a little too old for the community to recognize it as such which is interesting to me considering how much of a cult fanbase it has, it’s probably the same case for Pokémon, those are Legendary status. Thanks for Watching ❤️❤️😃😃

i feeel that not the biggest fan of its animation. not to mention it has that annoying “screen goes darker during action sequences” thing i’ve been seeing in modern day anime’s

Well where i think the problem lies is,you dont give a damn about others prespective..
You just shove your thoughts and opinions in a video without caring what viewers think and thats where you are wrong 😒

@@confessioncritic I get your point, the main reason the Japanese animation industry(ie anime) may die soon is because there is a lot of injustice for the writers and animators,it is less rewarding for them and the people of higher status want to keep all the money to themselves, also the population of Japan is quickly declining and not many people are being trained for animation and manga, man it feels sad to think about it..
And finally Chinese, for being the copycat they are are slowly taking over the industry by making their own,'not so bad' anime...so yeah SAD 😭

damn I really felt what you said about My Hero. It has such great moments but its just not worth trudging through the hours and hours of boring subplots, way too much gratuitous fanservice, and a single Mineta scene.

i really tried with that show. when it originally released I remember my brother and I were so excited because we were on the hype train, but as the show went on, it quickly became apparent that they were not focused on character development or any definitive plot structure. comparing that show to Naruto (even though i’m not a Naruto fanatic) is laughable

They were all year-round anime going for two decades. Now most anime have gone seasonal with huge breaks between seasons.

true. would you personally like to see consistency with quality taking a hit or vice versa?

@@confessioncritic I'm growing comfortable with the seasonal schedules. Filler should become a thing of the past. Especially with Boruto.

Highly agree. i also think it helps the overworked animators point a BUNCH
