There's even more than that--- if you skip the "auto scan" and instead: Manually go into the sub-services, they both have live data and actuation tests, but the d8 has a "special function" button inside each sub-section. Which will have several little details and options. Such as turning off the seatbelt buzzer, or the doors auto-locking when you put it in gear-- ect.. Every little section has more options, and the D7 doesn't have access to any of those extra "options".
The D7 was updated. I can let you remote check it out. 🏌♂️🌌

Ecu configuration is changing base configuration that ur car was built with but because of laws in different countries they are disabled or enabled. In america you cant use remote to roll windows up as they figure it a child safety issue but i can enable it on my bmw because of the software i got. I can change things about how fast i am going before doors lock or disable it all together, stuff about headlights like to stay on all day or whatever i want. Things of that nature.
They are happy about poisoning the water food and air but the windows they get upset about... Thats the line they won't cross!

Can it scan codes and test Hybrid cars? Toyota/Suburban Hybrid and others? what about the Chevy Volt?
There is a video on TH-cam about this scanner tested on Toyota hybrid. I have tested it only on VAG. Any other questions - please ask the seller.

Best is to ask the seller. Unfortunately, I don't have Mercedes to test it.

@@wawayltd I didn't know either but I looked on their website and they have one, quick question.. Does your D8 also shows 4GB of total space instead of the 64GB(59GB formatted) when you connect it to a computer? Not sure why my D8 only shows around 4GB of storage and not more🤔
