I've read this manga and it's quite old, much older than Naruto like a decade older. I'm quite surprise they decided to adapt it and they did a good job too.

@@southerneagle1690 it seems like there are a lot of borrowed concepts but that's everything nowadays it may actually be impossible to come up with a completely original story that someone else hasn't already came up with or at least it will still be similar to another storyline in some ways
