I watched this anime about 2-3 weeks ago. It’s hilarious! Especially when Nagasumi kept repeating that line whenever he sees Masa, something along the lines of “He’s my first kiss” 😂😭😭

These two families are insane
We got a mafia dude who can go anywhere and do anything without being caught or known about
Then we got a terminator dad who literally left the place by going down to the pits of hell
Both of these dads are freaking obsessed and over protective of their daughters then we got that one weak dude
The reason they overprotective because their daughter is fragile to any moisture! If i had in their role, i Must be overprotective because just one droplets is enough to make them weak.

"My Bride is a Mermaid" is a certified hood classic. I'm biased, but I really think it's worth a full watch (Dub version is better than you might expect)
This is one of the best comedy anime of all time. I remember literally spitting my coffee out when Nagasumi was drying Sun's legs at the festival when her parents showed up. Also love whenever Lunar's dad gets involved.
One of the first shows I binged. Probably the most I ever laughed at any show. Life in general got a lot worse so I haven't been anywhere near as happy watching anything (other than spy x family of course), but I always have had very fond memories of this show
Never rewatched it because I feel like I wouldn't like it anywhere near as much if I watched it now

Seto no Hayanome is one of the earliest Anime I watched due to my weeb mom, and this never disappointed me, from Masa being a Chad, to the Terminator Dad, all of the anime is golden

This is so common to occur, just not with mermaid/merman stuff. Just between man and women. These scenarios happen so much. And the misunderstandings that happen are sometimes way worse.

This anime had everything in one yakuza, high school love, jealousy, Beach episode, Mermaids, Overprotective fathers , Basically A harem Maiiid Outfits WW3 and WW4 and much more
The moment where Luna's father shows up in a girl student uniform makes him look just as ridiculous as Brick taking up the roll as The Fairy Punch Father.

Not gonna lie. I was really hoping Nagasumi would tell them to leave him alone as "accidental death" or not, they would hurt Tsun's feelings. Also, that he would tell her that he despises how everyone's treating him and is tired of almost dying. However, as we all know, not all protagonists have the guts to do that, sadly.😞 With the exception of Masa and Tsun's mother.
This show was complete chaos. It was great. I recommend it to anybody.

my favorite character has to be Shark Fujishiro. Every other moment is so funny but Fujishiro is where i laugh the most.

You know, I was going to make a joke about how "It's called Seto Island - because Kaiba from Yu-Gi-Oh! is so rich, he can afford to buy real estate outside his own series!" Then the video dropped the fact that the clan leader is named "Seto Gozaboro," and I'm starting to wonder if the show itself beat me to the punchline! Lol

Wow! I admit I have slept on this anime. Everybody recommends it but I couldnt see why from just the first episode. Brushed it off as a copy paste arranged marriage anime. While it carries some of the diseases that comes with the genre, such as harem syndrome and rivals appearing around every corner, the over-the-top humor cant be resisted.
Can't believe this is where the overprotective terminator dad meme came from, I'm so surprised it wasnt actually his dad-in-law x)

I highly recommend watching Seto no Hanayome in Japanese, either imported directly from Japan or fansubbed. There are 3 reasons for this. Firstly, the Japanese version is 100x funnier than the English dub. Secondly, the English version did some unnecessary changes in the 2nd half of the series that changed the context of various episodes and the ending credits. And last but not least, reading the subtitles is freaking insane! Seriously, the characters speak so fast that half the time you have to pause just to read several sentences. However it is well worth the effort as you then become extremely good at reading subtitles very quickly.
This is the one anime where the dub is better than the sub💀 I can't agree with you on that one
