I've always joked around trying to make The Senate's impression (also, how could you name him so many times and NOT call him The Senate?), but watching this video improved it by a longshot. I was invested joking about the tragedy of darth plagueis the wise in class. The teacher noticed and asked me “John!, would you like to explain the tragedy of darth plagueis the wise to the class?” my social life has never been the same
The larynx seems to play the largest role whenever it comes to bright or dark resonance compared to the tongue and the palate but not every voice is extremely bright like for Waylon Smithers instead of raising the larynx you use the tongue and soft palate to gain the brightness needed for the voice. Every component has its own purpose and capabilities. Every component is largely different from one another
@@NewYorkVocalCoaching yeah also found that combining a little twang with the tight vocal fry helps it sound closer to palpatine. Sometimes there’s a distinct shine to the voice that can only be accomplished with twang and using other elements won’t do the trick
