Your Name opened the world of anime for me. I hadn't seen anything like it before and at the end i cried. Actually cried. Never before had a movie - animated or otherwise - caused me to emotionally react. Now I'm wading through the vast catalogue of anime that piques my interest and gives me the emotions i was obviously missing before. It's art, pure art.

I loved Arcane, and I loved your analysis (and your voice) as well, as I am a quite recent lover of animation.
We need more works like this. Animation is not just a genre, and definitely should be not just for kids, but in many ways conveys better the inner self of their characters, and if done well, its beauty is so compelling...
    Congratulations!

It’s a shame this video hasn’t been seen by more. This was an excellent analysis of the show and you really can hear the passion in your voice for what you love. As a fellow massive fan of basically all this riot, I really enjoyed this. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the new season!

I could not agree more to what you say my friend! I always loved animated films/video/series and will never stop admiring how amazing they can be. Always wished that people took them more seriously too.. Great video! Touched my heart and passion for this amazing art form :)

Thank you Leonor! That means a lot coming from you. I’m confident that with time, all types of people will realise how good animation can really be 💪

Arcane animation is also an amazing feat because they've essentially found a way to animate splash art. This isn't the regular cellshaded, 3 or 1 color tone 2D stuff we've spent the last few decades with. Before Arcane this type of art style was restricted to a single illustration that could take hours, maybe even days depending on the skill level of the artist. It's a serious milestone in animation what the studio was able to accomplish here.

Wow, what a sick video, i'm really tired of trying to convince people that "cartoons" (the most people in mexico at age 18+ call it like that if isn't a live action...) are for every age, like movies, we can see live action movies for family, for teens, for adults, and the world of animation have years that do it like that, but the people here are very stubborn and just didn't give a chance to change their minds, i wish i could send this video to many friends, but they are a potato in terms of understanding english, i'm not an expert but i think i don't suck haha.

Thank you! I appreciate your kind words 🙂 In my country, it also used to be called cartoons, but things changed a bit thanks to Anime. So now it’s seen more as animation. But there’s still a ways to go for it to be taken more seriously… Thanks again for your comment!
