If they make a bad videogame, they can and do get returned. People watch streams of games - legally - before buying. You can't hide behind a cool movie trailer. Worse, videogames have a LOT more competition. Star Wars Force Unleashed is competing with a decades old KOTOR I&II in terms of story, Diablo and it's myriad offspring in terms of gameplay. Star Wars Fallen Order competes with KOTOR I&II in terms of story, and Dark Souls and it's myriad offspring in terms of gameplay. Unlike movies, where it's extremely rare for low budget creators to become overnight worldwide hits, videogames are infamous for exactly this phenomena. Steam's Top 10 lists the likes of Hades and Disco Elysium alongside triple A titles like Halo Infinite and Warhammer III. And again, I repeat: You can usually refund a videogame. You can't refund a movie ticket or streaming service. Less tolerance for BS as a result. Another factor is access. A videogame can sell to anyone, anywhere in the world. Sure, you have monopolies like Steam and GOG, but (at least for now) they are too profit driven to care what political content is accessed on their platforms. Steam permits straight up porn (with tags you can filter for ofc). Outside huge platforms, selling a game is as easy as setting up a website and a paypal. Now, if you want to sell a movie or show, you have a problem. Advertising. Theatre access. Getting on a highly politicized streaming platform like Netflix. Even if you get on a platform, you can always get short changed by being shown low - or not at all - in the recommended/search algorithms. You can't just post it on a website and expect to make millions off of a sleeper hit in a few decades. Or can you? Time will tell. A lot of TH-camrs are creating absolute masterpieces, in exchange for nothing except an optional donation to a patreon account.

Went into this series with no real expectations and absolutely left wanting more. Characters in story in this were top notch, Animation was amazing and the music to knit it all together didn’t miss a beat. Amazing piece of work, pure art from start to finish.

Im a metal head so not normally my style, but the eerie atmosphere along with the techno sound that feels 'grafted' onto the song 'in a good way' perfectly fits and is amazing.
Catches that twisted and sad theme of Zaun perfectly. Like sinking into a hazy cesspool, but your head is so far removed that you just don’t care. But the beast is still sleeping. Kind of gentle, if a little dark and demented.
The irony of the lyrics and the tone of the melody really boost this song and it's placment in the show. Welcome to the Playground, ironic that these are children and a playground is usually a happy place for children, yet the place they go to is not happy. It is their playground. Love it so much. 😊

I finally figured out why it sounds so befitting to the Undercity. The beats during the most intense parts of the song sound light, hollow and metallic, like you could recreate it by banging on pipes and other junk found on the streets.

Animation was amazing and the music to knit it all together didn’t miss a beat. Amazing piece of work, pure art from start to finish.

The production values on this track are so good. Hats off to Sebastian Najand and Mako. Bea's voice is also fantastic, sultry and seductive. And the song fits perfectly with the show but also stands alone as a great song. Thanks Riot Games & Netflix.

I legit got chills when this played during the show. This amazing track along with the breathtaking scenery of the first sight of the Lanes. Absolutely phenomenal and something I won't soon forget.
When this first played during the introduction of Zaun, I went all over the plays. HOLY SH*T! Absolutely captures it, and it is definitely my favorite track among the bunch.
The way she sings "fantasiiiiies" is so good... can barely describe in words. Its gets to my ears so easily and smootly.

She also had a rock-ish time before, when she released her debut Not an apology, very nice too
What I love most about this song is the metallic percussion in the background. It is both super cool and really helps capture the feel of Zaun.

In times when everything is cheap and safe, this production feels like an oasis.

This was the highlight of the first episode to me. Perfect fit for what otherwise would have been an ordinary scene. Made it so much cooler.

What I see, is that Arcane is the only show that most to all people can agree is completely great. I love this show so much.

Oh god, is it a masterpiece.
I finally figured out why it sounds so befitting to the Undercity. The beats during the most intense parts of the song sound light, hollow and metallic, like you could recreate it by banging on pipes and other junk found on the streets.

The opening of the song reminds me of “we’re in this together” from Nine Inch Nails, and a lot of the sounds and beats reminds me of the Nine Inch Nails album The Fragile.
