Which either means he isn't talking about the rune wars since they happened over 900 years ago, or he is lying about his age for some reason or arcane redcons the timeline. Also Singed (used to) play a role in the invasion of Ionia producing chemical weapons for Noxus. Will be interesting to see if he builds his connections with Noxus now that they will land in Piltover/Zaun or if it gets mentioned that he worked with them in the past. Then we will have a more precise location on the timeline for Arcane. Also imagine being a yordle. An immortal spirit creature. Then you go and become a drug selling chem-baron under the thumb of Silco or to run a brothel.

Cool video! Just keep in mind that even Riot hasn't released a clear timeline for all the events in Runeterra yet. The community has pieced together these events by connecting champions' stories to create a coherent path for newcomers. Some of these connections are theories and haven't been proven. You'd be surprised how many theories exist that people think are the actual story. So, take this video as a fun lore piece made by passionate fans rather than official lore. With the recent League lore retcon, some official stories will change too.
Actually there is a canon timeline released by Riot, in the first league of legends book, where it tells all the generals about the lore, and in there there is a timeline with timestamps of main events, such as creation of the world, watchers, darkin wars, rune wars, noxus creation, iona invasion ecc ecc. So mostly of the time stamps are correct and is official, but yes, is hard to tell beacuse it got released some years ago before the decision of unifying every piece of lore under a single canon one, redconing some stuff. But fot the most part is correct
@@Papuaik You're right about the timeline in Realms of Runeterra, but it's framed as written by Noxian historians, not an official Riot account. It reflects a Noxian perspective, so while useful, it's not a definitive or unbiased timeline for all of Runeterra.
When I played League nearly ten years ago. My mains were Rammus, Warwick, and Nautilus. As a fan of them I shall impart some facts about each. Rammus has been alive for a very long time. It is unclear exactly how old he is. But he is considered a mystical and wise being. Those who have met with Rammus have claimed that he changed their lives forever for better or worse. Nautilus was a former deep sea junk diver back in Bilgewater. One day he and his team were diving and then a black ooze from the sea floor latched on to him and merged with both him and his suit mutating him into the great titan we know today. As for Warwick? Older players like myself remember him very differently. Lore and appearance wise. Back then he was a beastman A blue were wolf. No chem tech no augments just him. Then he got a rework.
@MoviesBallsDeep oh and if you wanna see the champs in action Riot released some cinematic shorts years. Nautilus, Graves, Rengar, DRAVEN and several others are featured in the form of a classic Rift match. It's actually a really good show. But goddammit I'm still pissed they did my boi Nautilus dirty.🤣
I honestly hope and wish with all my heart that Riot considers doing more series with the other regions of Runeterra and giving some more solid background to the characters. Like, imagine a Bilgewater or a Shurima series… they just have so much stuff to work with and seeing the success Arcane had and will continue to have it would be amazing to see some stories being brought to life as a show.
The good thing about the show being animated is that they can use the characters more freely, not like in franchises like the MCU where they where they depend on the age of the actors
Regarding Jax. New people are gonna love this. Part of Jaxes lore is that he was such a gifted and talented and powerful fighter that he basically beat everyone he ever came across. THE ONLY REASON he carries a lamp post is to give himself a handicap 🤣🤣 Imagine the conversation you gotta have with both yourself AND whoever youre fighting about why youre gonna bash their face in with a lamp post🤣🤣 "Oh it got tired of using real weapons so i got super wasted, saw a lamp post, thought it was a good idea. Then i sobered up, looked at the lamp post again. Thought it was a good idea. And here we are"🤣🤣🤣🤣
yeah that was back then, when the league of legend was canon and there was very little world building, but they reworked him to fit to the new lore, it's not a lampost anymore, it's the light of Icathia and he's wandering Runeterra trying to assemble a team to figth the void

I went to art school in 2013 and had this one professor that HATED league of legends. This person told our class that it was a game without story that is "making it up as they go," and is why it was so frowned upon in their class. I honestly wonder what they would think of Arcane, today.
Now I need a list of all the characters that are dead by the start of Arcane. Cause here I was wanting to see characters like graves appear or have small cameo. He's probably too old or dead by the time jinx destroys the council.
Heimer is probably wayyy older. But nice video. I already knew the lore but after sum years not diving into it this video was perfect for re-freshing all the facts in my head
Just a reminder that upon Jayce's arrival at his school - hextech was already present and in research. The Lore is in case ppl forgot: not the same as arcane's lore when it comes to the runeterra iceberg
Really good video worthy of subscribe and like on the video, editing this video is hell but managed to be accomplished, kudos to the editor and narrator.
Constructive criticism: i know if you stopped for a while to explain some stuff would take a lot of time, but throwing names like Ashlesh, The Grey Man or Inviolus Vox does make it seem like you did the video for someone who already know a lot about the world (i do but that is beside my point) i think the video became really confusing really fast for someone who does not know one thing about Runeterra at all.
I can't wait to see what show we're getting next after Arcane wraps up. Riot Games has a ridiculous treasure trove of lore and characters they can dig through to make it happen. Plus the fact that they now own a good majority share of Fortiche, the animation studio that worked on Arcane and many of their other cinematics, I'm sure they'll be able to keep pumping new stuff out in years to come. Super excited for Act 3 to come out, as I'm sure the ending scenes will give us a hint of the next installment, which I'd guess will be set in or about Noxus... maybe even touch upon Noxus vs. Ionia now that Singed is officially in the employ of Noxus.
Meanwhile Tamriel and Hyrule are somewhere one each corner like “ you guys have to much information, and we thought that Galaxy from far far away was bad.”
Ads every minute (57 ads) has ruined this masterpiece of a lore video. Alot of love went into creating this but this amount of ads is absurd. Couldn't even get halfway before giving up on the nonstop interuptions.
I hope we get a shurima show after the piltover and zaun part of the story is over, it's such a pivotal moment in runeterra's story, the ascendant, the creation of the darkin that would eventually bring ruin to the rest of the world, the void appearing there as well, the fall of one of the biggest nation before noxus, it has so much potential Also I would love a series on the creation of noxus with the origins of mordekaizer and stuff, that would also be nice to see brought up to life with animation

Then he got a rework.
i started with ashe varus but now i have 1 mil points on ahri lol
@MoviesBallsDeep oh and if you wanna see the champs in action Riot released some cinematic shorts years. Nautilus, Graves, Rengar, DRAVEN and several others are featured in the form of a classic Rift match. It's actually a really good show.
But goddammit I'm still pissed they did my boi Nautilus dirty.🤣
Man's channel is about to explode! Gz dude, you deserve it.
The first three episode were awesome . My favourite animated show of all time
I honestly hope and wish with all my heart that Riot considers doing more series with the other regions of Runeterra and giving some more solid background to the characters.
As a 9hour+ video essay lover this video is too short- for me- I need a very detailed hours long explanation of the LoL lore
Regarding Jax. New people are gonna love this.
Part of Jaxes lore is that he was such a gifted and talented and powerful fighter that he basically beat everyone he ever came across. THE ONLY REASON he carries a lamp post is to give himself a handicap 🤣🤣
Imagine the conversation you gotta have with both yourself AND whoever youre fighting about why youre gonna bash their face in with a lamp post🤣🤣
"Oh it got tired of using real weapons so i got super wasted, saw a lamp post, thought it was a good idea. Then i sobered up, looked at the lamp post again. Thought it was a good idea. And here we are"🤣🤣🤣🤣
tell em about annie now
yeah that was back then, when the league of legend was canon and there was very little world building, but they reworked him to fit to the new lore, it's not a lampost anymore, it's the light of Icathia and he's wandering Runeterra trying to assemble a team to figth the void
@@gizel4376they setting Up the MMO.. i was dissapointed with world of Warcraft and Diablo (d3 should have been the diabloMMO). League of Legend MMO do interest me, its a perfect universe setup..
I’ve been playing league since S2 and it’s insane to finally see a story concept come together
this is the best and only story video yuo will ever need, this could have easily gotten millions of views, idk why it didnt tbh
Because Nectrit's channel exists for that matter
This is literally the video I was asking for!
I love that besides narrating he gets excited or laughs a bit, not distracting, but adding a bit of emotion😅
this is spectacular thank you so much. i knew absolutely nothing ab league but u explained so well. i think u fixed my attention span im surprised i watched the whole video
Rip Syndra still asleep behind the scenes
She will awake eventually and unite Ionia to become a contender in the wars to come^^
Nice Video been watching this while playing.
Ive realized 2 things watching this.
1. Lol has abundant stories to tell and I'm hyped for more outside of the game.
2. The sheer number of odd names and places all made it difficult to learn much haha
great job editing and scripting such a long video! i recommend putting that script into the video by way of subtitles next time !
so frickin' siiick. Glad i watched this before diving into Arcane Season 2
i always wanted a video like this. thank you so much.
as someone who's never played league of legends but binges arcane thank you. I tried doing my own research so I can better understand the show but I had no idea who was a character in game who's an additional character top side the sewers I was lost.
it's kinda amazing that some humans just think of all of that.
Was tempted to play the game after watching Arcane before I realized I can just watch an hour long video on the lore and get basically exactly the same experience out of it, minus a lot of rage and despair.
I need to see what comes next. Listened to this while I was out, had it in my pocket and I could still visualize what was happening. Good storytelling m8
I think you forgot to mention the fact that sion's jaw after he was revived is the crown of Jarvan I.
Arcane is freakin amazing, so well done. I wish they would pop out more shows quicker
Woah this videos so fresh that was unexpected
If I had not gone down the rabbit hole of Warhammer 40k lore before this, my head would have exploded from this video.
Bruh, I love how you used world of warcrafts Jaina and her blowing away the blight from Lorderon for the Janna bit at 37:00 XD
I love how Renekton fought to buy time for Nasus to arrive as reinforcements. I like the idea that Nasus was just afk somewhere mega stacking before finally joining the final push to end
24:09 Mordeka being send to Brasil was the funniest shit ever
I'm trying to understand the reference lol
@ His ultimate sends u to the gray world aka Brazil (canon btw for real trust me) so his soul being send back to the gray world is him being send back to Brazil lmao
"The Ascended shall guide humanity to greatness." - Azir
underrated video bro, loved and appreciated all the work put into it!
Hey bro you forgot to mention the part where Rammus shows up and everyone decides to make him God-King of Runeterra since he's just a chill dude
I can't believe I sat here and watch this for 50 mins so well made it felt like a 20 min video.
So glad someone read all of this information for me, booted up the game and felt like I was playing a reading simulator
I went to art school in 2013 and had this one professor that HATED league of legends. This person told our class that it was a game without story that is "making it up as they go," and is why it was so frowned upon in their class. I honestly wonder what they would think of Arcane, today.
The lore is so good, wow.
Now I need a list of all the characters that are dead by the start of Arcane. Cause here I was wanting to see characters like graves appear or have small cameo. He's probably too old or dead by the time jinx destroys the council.
when you talked about janna saving zaun and the editor added the clip of wow jaina controlling the toxic fumes that was PEAK
Christ bless you, this was a banger video man good work
Me after 10 minutes of watching: “Yeah i’m not getting any of this”
Me at the 30 min mark
Heimer is probably wayyy older. But nice video. I already knew the lore but after sum years not diving into it this video was perfect for re-freshing all the facts in my head
Just a reminder that upon Jayce's arrival at his school - hextech was already present and in research. The Lore is in case ppl forgot: not the same as arcane's lore when it comes to the runeterra iceberg
Great video. Can you make video about Ionian military or Noxian invasion on Ionia?
You know youre old when theres a complete guide to Runeterra. I remember when all we had was the text.
havnt finished this yet, cant wait to learn more about shaco :)
The blockade made on aram sucks i can't deal with it 😂 awesome video man
Really good video worthy of subscribe and like on the video, editing this video is hell but managed to be accomplished, kudos to the editor and narrator.
Imagine writing that whole lore for a universe that until a few years ago was just a simple moba game.
awesome video, thanks !
Did i just see King Recon meme ?? Instant Sub 🔥
I really liked the "azir finds dying daughter and saves her" part. He then becomes worthy of ascension and pulls shurima back from under.
No one who just watched arcane will know who the hell is xayah, rakan, maokai or fiddle
wtf, since when do we have movie balls deep? instantly subbed
W video. Thank you for this MASTERPIECE.
Video was so nice, it was uploaded twice 👍🏾
the first one had sync issues and glitches so i had to reupload
This was brilliant. I want more!!!!!
I wonder how many people here don't know the lore of League of Legends before Arcane
A lot, not many fans of Arcane play LoL, heck even not every LoL player knows about this stuff
i loved the video, are you gonna continue the video and talk about mount taragon cuz diana is my fav champion
Meanwhile Tamriel and Hyrule are somewhere one each corner like “ you guys have to much information, and we thought that Galaxy from far far away was bad.”
imagine the MMO we could be getting with all this stuff
A forest FULL OF SAPLINGS?! Nah fam, I'll stay in the void.
Good shit thank you for your hard work
OMG THANKS. THIS IS AMAZING.
"what the hell ? league has a lore ?" - me prior watching arcane.
Wow, jax lore changed so much from a badass guy with a lamp into more badass guy with a lamp
Been a D1 Ryze main and it won't change anytime soon
I swear to god the narrator is Kai TFT, the exact same voice lmao
I wish and hope they show Camille in Arcane, she is one of the best Piltover characters ever.
Veldora loved this video :)
I like how they evolved the darkin lore to make it more like a dark age for all of runterra.
Ads every minute (57 ads) has ruined this masterpiece of a lore video. Alot of love went into creating this but this amount of ads is absurd. Couldn't even get halfway before giving up on the nonstop interuptions.
I hope we get a shurima show after the piltover and zaun part of the story is over, it's such a pivotal moment in runeterra's story, the ascendant, the creation of the darkin that would eventually bring ruin to the rest of the world, the void appearing there as well, the fall of one of the biggest nation before noxus, it has so much potential
Also I would love a series on the creation of noxus with the origins of mordekaizer and stuff, that would also be nice to see brought up to life with animation
I love the Unbound Thresh skin and I'm not sorry. And I love that u used it in ur video :D
ew
Incredible. I now understand what’s going on. lol thank you!
