Even as a small child, I've always liked fog. As a grown up I love fog. It's mysterious.and intriguing. It feels like a different kind of cold when the fog is thick.
When I was around 4 years old in 1988, me and my dad had to walk home in a smog. It was Bonfire night (in the UK) and we'd been to a fireworks party at the Cricket club about 1/2 mile away from home. The smoke from the bonfires had mixed with a fog that had descended and visibility was terrible, we could only see a few feet ahead of us. Although we weren't that far from home, it was like being half blind and it took us forever to walk home. I only knew where we were when I saw the white fence on the corner of our street come into view. If that hadn't been so brightly painted, I doubt t we would have seen it. As the air quality was so poor and I was only little, the smoke got on my chest and I remember it being uncomfortable to breathe for a day or two afterwards.

Dear MR. Nightmare, my father’s friend had a very similar encounter like your first story on this video but it was a bit different. Basically he was at his sister house in the village she was living in with her husband and two children. He stayed there during the weekend and on late Sunday he wanted to go back home to the city. He had to catch a train which was 15 minutes walk for his sister house. The train would be at the station at 23:45. He left the house sometimes 23:20. The road would be through woods and also a river. He had to get over a small bridge. That Sunday there was a lot of fog and it was very cold on a day in November. This happened in 1977. He left the house and went on the main road where he saw two men dressed in black long coats. At first he was confused because he couldn’t hear them walk, basically their steps. He didn’t mind and he kept walking behind them in thinking that they too are going to the station. He walked for few minutes then he got confused because when he wanted to light a cigarette, these two men did no disappearing, they were still there at same distances. He then started walking more behind them and then he called them out. He asked them if they lost the way to the station. They didn’t respond but then at the very same moment he could hear something cracking underneath his feet and that was the ice on the lake that he stepped on without even knowing. The ice broke and he fell into the water as deep as up to his chest. These two figures were a bit higher in front of him and they were laughing. He was very scared because he said this laugh was not human. It was somehow demonic. I’m from Kosovo and here we have a word called shtriga, which is a women of demonic appearance who goes behind children. You might search on google about it. To know more. So these two men had voice like shtrigas. He then looked behind he came from and started to leave the river by being on ice. He said he was not walking on ice but more crawling and made it to the land where he ran back to his sister home and stayed in till next day. He didn’t look back at all as he was going back to his sister home but he did say that the laughing was always very close to him till he somehow found the house. It’s really a crazy similar thing with your first story. Maybe you can upload a video with his story as well.

Easter Horror Stories would be cool too also I’m friends with a guy who is in the military he has told me lots of scary stuff when he was over in Iraq he didn’t go into to detail because apparently some of the stuff that happened was pretty scary but he would say they’d hear voices and doors knocking especially when they’d leave base and go out and scout he said once a friend of his who was a sniper said he could see a black figure in his scope but my friend couldn’t see it so they left the area they were scouting eventually he said months later they moved to a different area and didn’t experience anything paranormal

Listening to this while watching video of Hurricane Ian storm surge against a glass front door.
I was walking St Andrews in Scotland once. I liked to go out on the beach in the evening. This was a popular activity, so there were usually people out there. I had gone down toward the cliffs and then turned back toward the Harbour. The fog was really thick (in Scotland, they call it "haar") and it was sunset, so it was getting dark. The beach was wide open and really flat, so you could see anyone coming on or leaving it. There was nowhere to hide once you came onto the beach.
I saw someone walking toward me, just a hole-shaped part of the fog, from the Harbour. It was a quarter of a mile away and, as I said, lots of people liked to walk out there of an evening. So, I thought nothing of it and kept walking, figuring I would pass them and casually say as I did. I had a lot on my mind, so I was just distracted, mulling stuff over.
It wasn't until I got up to the Harbour that I realized I'd never passed the person...and that I'd never seen them walk off the beach, either.
Perfect timing...it’s a foggy night here in the mountains of West Virginia!

I have a kinda horror fog story.
So basically me and my family were staying in Scotland for a week and we were staying on the tiny island of the coast with hardly any people living on it. It was so foggy one day, that you couldn’t see more than two meters in front of you. We were driving around the island and because of the lack of people living there, they don’t bother to put fences up near cliffs and things, so we basically almost drove off the cliff. I know it isn’t horror scary but it was still scary.
Ahhh, I love these stories while trapped at home. Perfect.... just perfect!

That can also work too! There is the Stephen King book and some movie adaptations too, but John Carpenter's movie is a separate thing that came out in the '80s. Definitely recommend checking it out though (Shudder has been streaming it as well as other sites that may have it)!

A few years ago I worked for a small local catering business and the owner had a kitchen/shop built on his farm a little way in the countryside. I would show up at 3am and unlock the place and start prepping the food and be there by myself for about two hours until my boss would show up. I'm not easily scared, but one night when I pulled up on the farm which was always pitch black there was a heavy fog that I did not see until I actually got on the farm. When I parked in front of the shop with the car running I got that paranoid feeling with my hairs standing up and all of a sudden my car shut completely off. I tried to start it once and it wouldn't start and that's when I started to panic and tried again then it started. I reversed a good bit backwards down the long driveway then turned my "fog" lights on slightly shifting the steering wheel to point the car left and right to see if anything was around. I saw nothing, but I will say it took me a good 20 minutes to gather the courage to get out and walk maybe 20 yards in the pitch black to unlock the door. What freaked me out was my car had no issues and never did anything like that before or after.
Either if these stories are real or not, they really make you question what would you do if you were in the same situation.

Isn't it crazy how we all listen to these stories and one day these will be 50 years old and well all be old and look back on these and it'll be sad too. Mr nightmare is a living legend and will be a bigger one hell grow and grow I reckon eventually hell have over 20 mill subs gets us through the day and night (sort of night lol) with these stories love u man keep doing what ur doing and everyone have a good day ❤️
