As a trucker myself, don't let some of these stories paint an overall negative view of truckers for ya'll. Most of us are just hardworking people wanting to see our families.
I still have a huge respect for truck drivers because they keep our country running and without them, there would be nothing in the stores. As for those who harass female truck drivers/other drivers or other people, don’t lose your job and stop making truck drivers look bad.

When I had to do cross country moves, I preferred driving late at night, just me and the truckers. I always flick my lights to tell them it was safe to pass, and they'd flash their lights in thanks. I've never had a single negative interaction with a trucker.
Having been around trucks my whole life and driving one for almost two decades. Been to these 48, all across Canada and up to Alaska there's countless stories I could tell about all the creepy and weird things, people I've seen. But in all that time driving I wonder how many I've had worried cause more times than I can count I've got tired after a long day of fighting traffic and just cruise in the right lane, usually just riding behind the same car for awhile. Then they just happen to exit off at the same exit I'm taking. I know it bothered some thinking I was following them cause at the bottom of the ramp, them staring at me they just shot across the road back on the interstate.
My pops was a trucker for a good 30 yrs before he moved to another position in Metro North here in NY he would tell me some fuckin caaraazyyy stories lol what’s funny is he was in the navy so he has a mouth like a sailor and a truck driver so you know they were always funny 😂

All you have to do to get away from a semi is to get off the interstate on a road the truck would have a tough time on or pull into a shopping center full of islands. All the dork had to do is leave the rest area. He would be alot slower leaving the rest area. Then she should have just gotten off the next exit.

Half of these stories are stereotypes of “omg truckers are scary xdxdxdxdxdxdxdxdxdxdxd”, I know a bunch of truck drivers, my dad and my granddad were truckers, and every single truck driver I know are extremely nice people.

Try putting a bottle of vodka in the freezer, and rubbing it on the sutures when they hurt too much. This is an old Finnish remedy for teething that my husband taught me, and it got me through my last tooth extraction. Don't swallow the blood, spit it out!
Don't spit, drool out the blood. Spitting can rip the stitches if you have any or just cause bleeding again. Tip your head to the side its bleeding from and when it fills up tip forward and let the blood run out of your mouth
I'm sorry. I hope you feel better soon! I've had to get four baby teeth removed one by one at one appointment because the adult teeth were growing over the baby teeth. My mouth was killing me for a week. That did happen about three years ago, I did have pain killers, and I was like 11 at the time, but I was screaming and crying, and the roots on one of the teeth was still on it. Anyway, I do hope you feel better very soon!

Otr driver of 6 years I hear these stories and it irritates me caz everyone groups the rest of us in this category. Most of us have families and work our butts off to support them, most of us are very nice and helpful folks, I've help more than enough strangers on the side of the road with flats and what not. One winter let a family sit in my rig caz it was -20 and their car had broke down. Waited almost an hour for a wrecker to get there. But with all the craziness these days I stop less n less

I love the trucker/driving stories because I appreciate the sense of isolation they contain. That said, the truckers I’ve known are just ordinary working guys, who put in long hours for the money. And they wouldn’t have anything to do with trucking were it not for the money.

A town in northern Nevada Tonopah? Not hardly. If anything, it's southern Nevada... or at the very least southern central. That said, it's kind of an eerie town to be in. Kind of like as soon as one drives in there, an unexplainable feeling of "I need to leave, NOW" washes over them. Or... perhaps it was just me, who knows. Never really talked to anyone who's been there.
I go into these expecting to hear truckers having bad encounters, and yet again, get a bunch of stories about girls being scared by people. Like why? Is this all thats ever on Reddit anymore?
The last story could have been a skin walker, or a wendigo? Maybe even something else, never heard of black blood either. Maybe it's a cursed soul or just a plain old monster

Number 4 really spooked me. Not necessarily because I believe it, but because I am VERY familiar with that stretch of I-40 in the smokies (I can picture the tube tunnel and everything). I totally understand the motivation of the story even if it’s probably fake.

to be fair, you realize a lot of men are "frikin creeps" when your basically accosted doing normal things like going to a gas station, being in Walmart, walking on a nature trail....hate to generalize, buuuuuuut you can really only go off of your own personal encounters. Unfortunately, for most women, they're legitimately terrifying.
Or maybe he once had a daughter her age that died tragically and she reminded him of her. Endless possibilities. Granted he may have wanted to do her harm, or see if she was into older men or whatever, but you just never know. As a trucker of 20 years I get annoyed always being looked at like some perv on crank. I have a beautiful wife, 4 kids and just wanna get back home to them. From a truckers viewpoint, yes guys blow the air horns at pretty women and wave, and have since the beginning of trucking. It’s lonely out there and a smile or a wave back really makes a guys day when he’s been on a long run did little pay and zero appreciation. And that’s all 99% of the ones that blow the horn do it for. Hell I did it in my younger days when I was single. But as you get older you don’t out of respect for your own family as well as the womans. But as a father I’d tell my daughter to play it safe because there is that 1% out there or less that are creepers. A word of advice tho, instead of blowing it all out of proportion and making the guy out to be some serial rapist/killer, if you don’t want the attention just drive on and pretend you didn’t hear or see anything, most likely he will assume you had radio up and didn’t hear it and that’s that. And it ain’t like he’s gonna run you down in an 80,000 pound rig anyway. If he persists, stop quickly somewhere, see what he does then start quickly again cause most likely he’s loaded and you’ll be long gone before he breaks 55mph. If all else fails and none of that works and he persists, play it safe and call the authorities
When my grandad was doing a job driving his truck,he had to stop at the CATERHAM BYPASS for the night...and at that bypass there’s 2 ghost sisters (search on TH-cam and you’ll see) and late at night when he was falling asleep one of the ghosts knocked on his window and when he looked out the window he saw a girl,the girl walked THROUGH a car and disappeared TRUE STORY and he has way more he’s telling me like when he was younger coming from cinema going home he was encountered by the rainbow men (7 men who follow you with no clothes on) he still has more

I had a scary experience one time I was on a road trip with my boyfriend we were going to Albuquerque to visit family and as we got closer to town our tire popped so we got out to see what happened he drove over some glass from a wine bottle so I went back to the car to watch Netflix whilst he called a tow company they couldn’t be out there till 6 am because it was so late so he got back into the car and told me we would be here awhile a few hours go by and I started hearing a a fucking horrific noise at this point my boyfriend was snoring so I woke him up telling him I was hearing what sounded like a cat being brutally murdered he looked at me with the most dumbfounded look on his face they he told me I was imagining it and to go back to sleep I smacked him called him a idiot and told him to get the gun he brought then we heard a screeching noise like no animal I’ve ever heard before and I saw a black figure in the distance it looked like a person but a bit contorted till I saw it go on 4 legs and walk closer to our truck and I’m not even kidding I saw yellowish red eyes like from a fucking horror movie I screamed so loud I asked my boyfriend if he saw it but he told me he didn’t see anything I looked back and it was gone I swear to fucking god something was out there
why would a. emergency responder tell you to pull in somewhere a truck can fit? literally all you have to do is get inside a parking lot that a truck can’t fit, which isnt hard. or if you’re in a rural area, get off on a random exit and make a u turn in any little place you can find. it’s not hard to lose a trucker at all 😂 these stories are still entertaining though

The girl that said women can't travel alone, that really gets me angry. I have been traveling this country since I was 17, long blond hair, blue eyes, and shapely (not bragging as I didn't make me), I'm 60 now. Things come up, you take care of it. LoL my husband is a trucker, I may be 5'3" but after 4 kids, I'm now longer that tiny. I've settled comfortably into about 155 at 39 years old. I'm not out trying to screw everyone I see and show off the goodies. As long as I'm comfortable with my body, and my husband is attracted & happy with the way I look that I'm all set in Life.

Try putting a bottle of vodka in the freezer, and rubbing it on the sutures when they hurt too much. This is an old Finnish remedy for teething that my husband taught me, and it got me through my last tooth extraction. Don't swallow the blood, spit it out!
Don't spit, drool out the blood. Spitting can rip the stitches if you have any or just cause bleeding again. Tip your head to the side its bleeding from and when it fills up tip forward and let the blood run out of your mouth
I'm sorry. I hope you feel better soon! I've had to get four baby teeth removed one by one at one appointment because the adult teeth were growing over the baby teeth. My mouth was killing me for a week. That did happen about three years ago, I did have pain killers, and I was like 11 at the time, but I was screaming and crying, and the roots on one of the teeth was still on it. Anyway, I do hope you feel better very soon!

Otr driver of 6 years I hear these stories and it irritates me caz everyone groups the rest of us in this category. Most of us have families and work our butts off to support them, most of us are very nice and helpful folks, I've help more than enough strangers on the side of the road with flats and what not. One winter let a family sit in my rig caz it was -20 and their car had broke down. Waited almost an hour for a wrecker to get there. But with all the craziness these days I stop less n less

I love the trucker/driving stories because I appreciate the sense of isolation they contain. That said, the truckers I’ve known are just ordinary working guys, who put in long hours for the money. And they wouldn’t have anything to do with trucking were it not for the money.

A town in northern Nevada Tonopah? Not hardly. If anything, it's southern Nevada... or at the very least southern central. That said, it's kind of an eerie town to be in. Kind of like as soon as one drives in there, an unexplainable feeling of "I need to leave, NOW" washes over them. Or... perhaps it was just me, who knows. Never really talked to anyone who's been there.
My and my family drove there to get to goldfield nv and I always got that feeling

I simultaneously hope that I get to see something like that, or never see something like that in my entire life. Like, that would be fucking... Something to see! On the other hand I don't think I could ever sleep right at night again. Just the knowledge of a creature like that would probably make me a gun hoarding nocturnal lunatic lol. I already have to sleep with a gun near me, I already put extra driving lights on my truck and a dash cam lol. These stories are so interesting yet they make me so paranoid and freaked out like nothing else! Gonna keep a light on and one in the chamber tonight lol.

Number 4 really spooked me. Not necessarily because I believe it, but because I am VERY familiar with that stretch of I-40 in the smokies (I can picture the tube tunnel and everything). I totally understand the motivation of the story even if it’s probably fake.
Never been out there yet (I’m on the NC coast) but that area and the smokies in general just seems very eerie.

First story is just an overly paranoid girl, the trucker didn't do or say anything offensive. And this is coming from someone who pretty much always looks over the shoulder when out and about.

Granted he may have wanted to do her harm, or see if she was into older men or whatever, but you just never know. As a trucker of 20 years I get annoyed always being looked at like some perv on crank. I have a beautiful wife, 4 kids and just wanna get back home to them. From a truckers viewpoint, yes guys blow the air horns at pretty women and wave, and have since the beginning of trucking. It’s lonely out there and a smile or a wave back really makes a guys day when he’s been on a long run did little pay and zero appreciation. And that’s all 99% of the ones that blow the horn do it for. Hell I did it in my younger days when I was single. But as you get older you don’t out of respect for your own family as well as the womans. But as a father I’d tell my daughter to play it safe because there is that 1% out there or less that are creepers. A word of advice tho, instead of blowing it all out of proportion and making the guy out to be some serial rapist/killer, if you don’t want the attention just drive on and pretend you didn’t hear or see anything, most likely he will assume you had radio up and didn’t hear it and that’s that. And it ain’t like he’s gonna run you down in an 80,000 pound rig anyway. If he persists, stop quickly somewhere, see what he does then start quickly again cause most likely he’s loaded and you’ll be long gone before he breaks 55mph. If all else fails and none of that works and he persists, play it safe and call the authorities

When my grandad was doing a job driving his truck,he had to stop at the CATERHAM BYPASS for the night...and at that bypass there’s 2 ghost sisters (search on TH-cam and you’ll see) and late at night when he was falling asleep one of the ghosts knocked on his window and when he looked out the window he saw a girl,the girl walked THROUGH a car and disappeared TRUE STORY and he has way more he’s telling me like when he was younger coming from cinema going home he was encountered by the rainbow men (7 men who follow you with no clothes on) he still has more

I had a scary experience one time I was on a road trip with my boyfriend we were going to Albuquerque to visit family
and as we got closer to town our tire popped so we got out to see what happened he drove over some glass from a wine bottle so I went back to the car to watch Netflix whilst he called a tow company they couldn’t be out there till 6 am because it was so late so he got back into the car and told me we would be here awhile a few hours go by and I started hearing a a fucking horrific noise at this point my boyfriend was snoring so I woke him up telling him I was hearing what sounded like a cat being brutally murdered he looked at me with the most dumbfounded look on his face they he told me I was imagining it and to go back to sleep I smacked him called him a idiot and told him to get the gun he brought then we heard a screeching noise like no animal I’ve ever heard before and I saw a black figure in the distance it looked like a person but a bit contorted till I saw it go on 4 legs and walk closer to our truck and I’m not even kidding I saw yellowish red eyes like from a fucking horror movie I screamed so loud I asked my boyfriend if he saw it but he told me he didn’t see anything I looked back and it was gone I swear to fucking god something was out there
why would a. emergency responder tell you to pull in somewhere a truck can fit? literally all you have to do is get inside a parking lot that a truck can’t fit, which isnt hard. or if you’re in a rural area, get off on a random exit and make a u turn in any little place you can find. it’s not hard to lose a trucker at all 😂 these stories are still entertaining though

The girl that said women can't travel alone, that really gets me angry. I have been traveling this country since I was 17, long blond hair, blue eyes, and shapely (not bragging as I didn't make me), I'm 60 now. Things come up, you take care of it. If you were smart you would have backed over the guy. Which is what I would have done. Anyway women are perfectly safe as long as you watch what's going on around you and don't trust strangers.

LoL my husband is a trucker, I may be 5'3" but after 4 kids, I'm now longer that tiny. I've settled comfortably into about 155 at 39 years old. I'm not out trying to screw everyone I see and show off the goodies. As long as I'm comfortable with my body, and my husband is attracted & happy with the way I look that I'm all set in Life.
