What a beautiful story, you're both beautiful people who are meant for each other! My dad (he's from guam) met my mom while stationed in the Philippines around 1944-45 . They got married but the when the war broke out my father had to leave the PI. US Navy ships were also being attacked that my uncle told my mom my dad is dead because the ship he left in was hit. Several years later they were reunited, had 9 children (I'm #7), was married 49 years before the Lord took them home. I always smile whenever I hear stories on how women from the Philippines met their foreigner husbands😊.

You guys were like Lynlyn and I at the Manila airport.I waited at the meet and greet for over 2 hours for her to arrive.It turned out we were at opposite ends of the airport because the taxi dropped her off at the wrong part.I was not able to contact her on the phone just like you Brian,and the security guy couldnt either as her phone was flat.So they put a call out several times over the intercom system,when Lynlyn heard her name she went up and spoke to a security guy who found out where I was and then bought her to me.I was over whelmed when we finally met each other.One thing that really impressed me was the porter who bought me through the airport in a wheelchair never left my side untill he knew that the person meeting me was along side me.And we all lived happily ever after,lol.
I met my Jenny on a online dating site called International Cupid. At the time I was an agoraphobic and was just looking for people to chat to and share the day and see where things went as I had no idea how my future life was going to turn out. I first spoke to a girl from Columbia and she was nice and the second person I spoke to was Jenny and bang I was like dang I want to talk to this woman. We talked for about 2 hours and made arrangements to talk the next day after she got home from work. When I finished talking to Jenny the first thing I did was leave a message to the young lady from Columbia thank her for her time but as I told her I have never been a "player" and the person I had spoken to after her was someone I wanted to talk to a lot more. So began 2 years of talking nearly every day to Jenny while I worked on fixing myself and just over 2yrs later I moved out here and will have been here 6yrs this coming May. Great story! Nice to hear success stories like yours. My wife and I met before the internet started. We had to write letters and wait two week for it to arrive. I sent her a self addressed stamped envelope so she could send me a letter back. There was no chatting available at that time. So in a way things have gotten way easier. Sadly it has created an opportunity for underhanded people to take advantage of each other. Best advise I even received was if they ask for money move on. I am not sure how big you are, but can you tell me where you can find clothes for someone that is about 6'2 and 260lbs. I haven't found any clothes big enough or shoes that go beyond an 11 US. At the department store the girls find 2 or 3 of the biggest shirts they can find and still it's like wearing a tight wetsuit. Since I had only planned to come here for 3 weeks but now been stranded here for 9 months, clothes are starting to get a little over worn. Lol. Thank you.

Airports in the Philippines suck especially in the arrival area where airline passengers pick up by friends or families are in a limbo trying to locate them. I hate it when you arrived at the NAIA and waiting area is outside. Not like the airports here in the United States. People picking up passengers can wait at the baggage claim area and they usually get there before the luggages.

Love the story. For me the first time I met my wife in person 14 years ago. I knew she couldn’t come inside the airport to meet me so I was wondering how I would find her. But something crazy happened. A security guard saw I was lost lol, he asked to help find the person I’m looking for. I’m sure he saw it a million times before. I looked out the windows and just saw her. Her back was turned to me but somehow I just knew it was her. I’ve never felt anything like that before. We’ve been married for 13 years now and I’ve never been happier. We just met by accident on social media. At that time it was HI 5. 👍
Was in Philippines just March of 2018 and, thankfully, they seem to have removed the ability for all the locals to wait around to carry your bags, etc. I know some of these people are simply trying to earn a living but some were a bit in-your-face and I was always worried about pick-pockets before also. Now there are a lot less people hanging around and offering unwanted help. This kinda thing can ruin the start of the trip, whereby you feel set-upon. It was actually worse, though, when I visited the pyramids in Egypt. Beggars (selling useless trinkets) standing in front of you blocking your way, as you walked from the bus area to the pyramids. Ruined the trip because when you ignore them or say you'e not interested, they get more forceful and one guy even got aggressive after I put down the trinket he forced into my hand. It's was not that bad in Phils, but they see a white person, and they think you are rich....also you stand out as a target if there are bad people around...so be careful. In some areas the rebels have kidnapped people

Close Filipino friends of mine told me some wicked incidents with white foreigners especially in Sulu. I have no reason not to believe them. You two are doing great. Great story! Nice to hear success stories like yours. My wife and I met before the internet started. We had to write letters and wait two week for it to arrive. I sent her a self addressed stamped envelope so she could send me a letter back. There was no chatting available at that time. So in a way things have gotten way easier. Sadly it has created an opportunity for underhanded people to take advantage of each other. Best advise I even received was if they ask for money move on. So many wonderful women and the good one only want a good man. My Reina is the best thing that has ever happened to me. This Dec. will be 27 years ago when we met in Cebu. Keep on telling your story. My wife and I really enjoy hearing it!

I am not sure how big you are, but can you tell me where you can find clothes for someone that is about 6'2 and 260lbs. I haven't found any clothes big enough or shoes that go beyond an 11 US. At the department store the girls find 2 or 3 of the biggest shirts they can find and still it's like wearing a tight wetsuit. Since I had only planned to come here for 3 weeks but now been stranded here for 9 months, clothes are starting to get a little over worn. Lol. Thank you.

Airports in the Philippines suck especially in the arrival area where airline passengers pick up by friends or families are in a limbo trying to locate them. I hate it when you arrived at the NAIA and waiting area is outside. Not like the airports here in the United States. People picking up passengers can wait at the baggage claim area and they usually get there before the luggages.

Love the story. For me the first time I met my wife in person 14 years ago. I knew she couldn’t come inside the airport to meet me so I was wondering how I would find her. But something crazy happened. A security guard saw I was lost lol, he asked to help find the person I’m looking for. I’m sure he saw it a million times before. I looked out the windows and just saw her. Her back was turned to me but somehow I just knew it was her. I’ve never felt anything like that before. We’ve been married for 13 years now and I’ve never been happier. We just met by accident on social media. At that time it was HI 5. 👍

Was in Philippines just March of 2018 and, thankfully, they seem to have removed the ability for all the locals to wait around to carry your bags, etc. I know some of these people are simply trying to earn a living but some were a bit in-your-face and I was always worried about pick-pockets before also. Now there are a lot less people hanging around and offering unwanted help. This kinda thing can ruin the start of the trip, whereby you feel set-upon. It was actually worse, though, when I visited the pyramids in Egypt. Beggars (selling useless trinkets) standing in front of you blocking your way, as you walked from the bus area to the pyramids. Ruined the trip because when you ignore them or say you'e not interested, they get more forceful and one guy even got aggressive after I put down the trinket he forced into my hand. It's was not that bad in Phils, but they see a white person, and they think you are rich....also you stand out as a target if there are bad people around...so be careful. In some areas the rebels have kidnapped people
I met my Filipina wife of 10 years on a social media web site called Dada. This was in June 2007. Well before Facebook when Friendster was a big thing. It was actually an unintentional relationship but 11 years 6 months later, here we are! I moved to the Philippines in 2008 and we decided to move to the USA in 2013. this is funny about the birthday thing!! my Asawa's mother has the same birthday as i do... only i was born in 72 and she was born in 46... a wonderful women very kind and beautiful with a good heart. so there is something to same birthdays in the family lol ..
My asawa is exactly 50 years younger than my mother, both Sagittarius, born on the 26th and 28th. They are both happy souls that don't complain much...
