It was a conservative show made by Republican leaning writers and animators. The show was a way to make people feel like there problems don't matter in the long run and that they should just get back to working for there corrupt business overlords. Luckily shows like that aren't as popular today. Even if they were, Millenials wouldn't fall for it. However GenZ has brought about a group of new wave adults who don't seem to understand that time is valuable. They are undoubtedly going to become obedient puppies like this in the coming decade. Left wing does not equal uptight by the way, it equals traditional values. In traditional values people were held accountable for their own acctions. Firstly, a great cartoon, always loved the Flintstones! I watched the first time with my granddaddy, and I will say this too anyone, with rage, things were a lot different in the early 60's, it's a damn shame a lot of that has been lost by the hatred and overwhelming prejudice, of the new generation! The fact that they produced a pretty near full episode aimed exclusively for Anheuser-Busch executives says a lot.
The AA sequel went like this:
Fred stumbled home, beat Wilma and passed out on the kitchen floor...Barney drove his car into a lake and lost his wallet....Next morning they were late for work and got fired. Betty and Wilma both filed for divorce....Fred and Barney are poor and can no longer have any Busch.

This video is a beautiful example of how weak and watered down our society has become, Not only do Fred and Barney sell the beer, The ad also talks about how sometimes getting warm and fuzzy with a beer buzz feels so good, This clip has quiet a few controversial aspects of what is dangerous, Today we are safe, We traded our freedom for it.
You traded your freedom to corporations to drown in advertisements. How else would you have sat through a 4 minute commercial?

Yes, they did produce a number of sales and promotional films during the 1960's- including another appearance by Fred and Barney in a 1968 Aurora Toys sales film.

Beer makes you do surprising things.
Firstly, a great cartoon, always loved the Flintstones! I watched the first time with my granddaddy, and I will say this too anyone, with rage, things were a lot different in the early 60's, it's a damn shame a lot of that has been lost by the hatred and overwhelming prejudice, of the new generation! My own kids are in that new generation, and they, I don't care what I tell him, they don't understand, with all the amazing things that have been brought to the world, since that first episode of The Flintstones in Bedrock, I look around and I still see adults, still acting like Neanderthals!

I wonder why Anheiser Busch commissioned a four minute beer commercial from Hanna Barbara? If it was seen by employees only, why go through the expense of writing it, voicing it and animating it? I'm sure it was a hit at the company meeting but how much did it cost?
I'd like to think the company had enough money to throw around and seeing the reactions of the employees would be worth enough anyway.

A program might have only one sponsor (ie the iconic 'brought to you buy ____ ' ), and people in the homes did not pay for television service. They paid for a TV, the 'brought to you by's paid for everything else.
Secondly, they did it to motivate employees. If you think about it, it's not any different then what companies do now, but really are you more entertained by a fun little cartoon (one that would have been popular among the workers at that ), or by the mind numbering nonsense companies like Walmart or Home Depot or the like put out now
