School already has changed (in Germany). There is a lot of working in groups! But I agree school is therefore that you fit into "the system of society" and that you bring in your skills.

Awareness of your situation is not the same as victimhood. If someone beat you up because you weren’t paying attention, you can acknowledge that it’s your responsibility to heal yourself and be more aware of your environment, while still acknowledging the fact that someone did come out and injure you. The British basically ravaged through India both in terms of wealth and in terms of the eradication of Indian knowledge in the people, and while it is now one’s responsibility to earn back that knowledge, its also helpful to know how that happened.
