This podcast is a mixed bag for me. The host could have done a better job at keeping the flow of the podcast going well. It felt very knee-jerk because he kept going in all directions and abruptly jumping topics. He maintained an expression as if he was very confused with the conversation (maybe he really felt confused with Pashupati’s explanations). Ideally, you should have a high level theme, followed by sub-themes, start discussing a topic > explore it properly and the segue into the next connected idea. With regards to the guest (Pashupati), a few things he said made sense and a lot of them did not make any sense to me (This is my subjective opinion). For example: 1) Labeling “Kaam” as sex…instead of desires. One of the names of Maa Lalita Maha Tripurasundari (she is a Mahavidya) is “Kaameshwari” as she lords over all desires. Even Maa Kamakhya is called as “Kaameshwari”. Sex is just one of the many expressions of desire. Desire is extremely fundamental for this universe to exist. Reducing “Kaam” to just sex didn’t resonate with me. 2) The whole spin on “immortality” didn’t make sense. One who is born, is bound to die and the soul takes on a new body based on the karmas accumulated/available to experience. This is Bhagavad Geeta 101. All the Yogis and Siddhas of the past primarily exist in their energy form/ astral form. Hence they can manifest anywhere, anytime and anyhow. Pashupati’s explanation didn’t make sense to me. I am willing to accept my knowledge is limited and I could be wrong. 3) His explanation of Tantra was incorrect. While describing the faces of Lord Shiva, he couldn’t even say the names correctly. The Tantras emerge from the 5 visible and 1 invisible faces of Lord Shiva facing different directions) and are as follows - a. Purva Aamnaya (East) b. Paschim Aamnaya (West) c. Uttar Aamnaya (North) d. Dakshina Aamnaya (South) e. Urdhva Aamnaya (Above) f. Adho Mukha (Sixth face facing downward). This is extremely secretive and I am not sure if it is even taught in a Guru-Shishya arrangement. 4) Towards the end, his explanation on meditation didn’t make sense to me. The Patanjali Yog Sutra says the purpose of Yog (this type of Yog) is the complete cessation of thoughts so that you’re able to experience the ultimate witness consciousness (our true self). That’s what “Chitta Vritti Nirodha” means. Pratyahara is to withdraw your sense from the external world and turn it inward. Dhaarana is concentration and Dhyaana is meditation. Samaadhi is bliss (it has a quality like orgasmic ecstasy or like deep sleep, although it is not deep sleep). I will have to listen to his other content before deciding whether he is genuine and whether I can take him seriously or not. But thanks for bringing this guest. Always open to learning.
I feel that he is genuine. He genuinely wants to lift people up and help them become the best version of themselves they can be. But guru doesn't mean one is a perfect individual. He's still a human being and as such he has faults and misconceptions of his own. That's okay, that's normal. I feel he still has some attachments to the whole being a guru deal and the ego trip that comes from that. That is also normal and something he's working through every day, I'm sure. Guru or not he is still a man. We need to drop the idea (not saying this is something you're doing, even though I'm replying to your post here) that gurus are flawless and omniscient. There are charlatans, yes. There's also the rare individual who has become the truth of the universe and knows all, I'm sure. But in between there's a whole slew of unique individuals and we need to use our own discernment to tell which is which. Again, I feel that he is the genuine article. But like all of us he is still learning every day. The teacher him or herself also learns from teaching just like the students he or she teaches. It's a dance between the teacher and the student where both benefits equally. Some things he says I do not resonate with, but I learned some useful things from this podcast, and for that I am grateful to him and his interviewer. Om shanti. 🙏

This guy is fake. He makes up shit to sell his courses. For my bad luck, I went and joined his program. But I was smart enough to learn that this guy is full of BS in two weeks and got my money refunded. And he refunded because he was afraid, I would expose his scam.
I was his student and I can tell you he is nothing like the God like Sadhguru. This guy is a scammer. He is just nice and calm on videos and podcasts. In real life he is an arrogant person who doesn't care about his students. He is an authoritarian in his classes. He thinks he cannot be questioned and gets very defensive when he doesn't have answers. If you don't believe me, try joining his classes and ask real challenging check mate questions and see his true colours coming to light.

Yeah. Unfortunately most of his students in the program I was part of were coming from very vulnerable situations like domestic abuse, relationship issues etc and they are looking at him with so much reverence and as a last ray of hope. Obviously they are blinded with devotion. So even if I had told them, they are going to dismiss me. And those poor women spent 30,000 to join the course including me. But he understood I'm a threat as I started questioning him. He immediately escaped by refunding my money. A real Guru would be capable to educate a student however good or bad they are.

I was his student and I can tell you he is nothing like the God like Sadhguru. This guy is a scammer. He is just nice and calm on videos and podcasts. In real life he is an arrogant person who doesn't care about his students. He is an authoritarian in his classes. He thinks he cannot be questioned and gets very defensive when he doesn't have answers. If you don't believe me, try joining his classes and ask real challenging check mate questions and see his true colours coming to light.

Yeah. Unfortunately most of his students in the program I was part of were coming from very vulnerable situations like domestic abuse, relationship issues etc and they are looking at him with so much reverence and as a last ray of hope. Obviously they are blinded with devotion. So even if I had told them, they are going to dismiss me. And those poor women spent 30,000 to join the course including me. But he understood I'm a threat as I started questioning him. He immediately escaped by refunding my money. A real Guru would be capable to educate a student however good or bad they are.
