Not the first Jock Scott that I caught my first Atlantic Salmon on back in 1968! In so many ways we have it so so good! I like this tube version, I am fairly new to tubes and I will tie some this winter for Next years trip to Newfoundland! Davy you are by far the best tier on you tube if not the whole world of those living! Tube flies are a lot more popular here than they were in the past!

Another work of art from the vise of Davie! You never cease to amaze me. I have just started tying on tubes. I got the tubes from Pro but now I am beginning to believe I should have gone with future fly. Of course none of the parts are interchangeable so I guess I'll stay with pro for now. All the best to you and yours. God bless. Sean

Beautiful modern pattern Davie. I'm excited to tie up several in different color combinations as you suggested. I know it will entince many Pacific Northwest steelhead to strike aggresively. Thanks so much for sharing such a magnificent fly.

Hello Davie, I will definitely let you know how they catch on with our often dour Winter steelhead. I like purple. steelie blue (electric blue), black, pink and orange for Winter steelheading in various combinations. Thanks so much for the kind response and I will let you know how the flies do.
      Regards,
      Russell

Great job Davie. I know that you have done a few classic flies. You have done a full feather wing and some small married wings. Would you be able to do a built wing fly for fishing? One of the very simple wings but something that would show how it was done. Keep up the great work. Thanks for all you do for the tying community.

      Hi Zach,
It's certainly something I would like to do as many have ask about me tying a classic salmon fly, once I get a new camera it would be a great excuse to do this...I'm glad you enjoyed the video...
      All the very best Davie

+Davie McPhail thank you Davie. I have been reading through Kelson's book and I see the flies that have been tied using the built wing style of old but I still don't quite understand what that means. Thanks again.

      All the very best Davie...
