Jimmy is smart.
Jimmy doesn't ask stupid questions and minds his own business.
Be like Jimmy.
Light rail
will he knows will & see that body like mmmmmm he picked the wrong house & John self def himself he good
Jimmy likes Elaine...
Even uses his hat to cover his body cam
What kind of nosy neighbors calls a "noise complaint" to John Wick's house? Are these people dense?
Cop knows John well, his thinking "This guy just took down a bunch of intruders single handedly, I'm not dealing with the paperwork. Time to just say goodnight and get back to my patrol.."
"Good night John. Good night Jimmy."
I think given he asked if John was working again our good cop jimmy works for the high table in some way
Damn right.
@@KiRiTO72987He 100% is in that world. Probably embedded in the police department to head off potential investigations into business by the assassins. He uses the code word for gunshots, "noise complaint", which Charon also uses when he calls John at the Continental after Perkins tries to kill him.
@@KiRiTO72987at this point I just assume everyone John talks to works for the High Table
Jimmy and the one bouncer were the 2 smartest men in that movie. They just let John go and they survived.
Francis
Fun fact about that scene, They fucked up the subtitles. When he says "You've lost weight" Francis replies "dvadtsat' kilogrammov", Or 20 kilograms. He was telling John there was 20 guards inside. It was an old code between them. Kevin Nash stated it in an interview about his character.
Also the chop shop guy
@@wolftamer5463 well him and Aurelio were good friends
Hell, the bouncer was co-operative. The lost weight was the deadweight in the club--the number of opponents in the Red Circle.
"You working again?" The officer Jimmy was so calm when he asked.
Right? I love how so much backstory is implied.
The best part is when he removes his hat. Sign of respect.
@@Governor_William_J_Lepetomane hat for respect, his hand off his gun, for his own safety.
@@jamesclayton9177 What's really implied is that the cop is part of the whole network
@@Governor_William_J_Lepetomane Sign of respect yes, but also covers the body cam so none of the bodies in the hallway can be seen on video
The cop was clearly the smartest person in that scene...
If anything, the whole series. He knew not to screw with John when every other rich fuck thought they would have the upper hand
There’s also another scene in a John Wick movie where a smart security guard knows John (i think is an old friend of his) and gets off his shift
Right next to Kevin Nash.
@@magma5267take the rest of the night off Frank lol😂😂
@@magma5267The fear he must've felt when he heard John's voice and felt the barrel of the gun!!😂
Jimmy is a stand up guy. Jimmy is solid. I trust Jimmy.
Jimmy won't say jack. Agreed.
Jimmy is a very smart young man. I like Jimmy.
Jimmy will live a long healthy life with smarts like that, I tell you what 🤣
Keep in mind, this is John being rusty.
John in his prime probably took out entire crime families in one session.
Most people think taking out an entire crime family is amazing. For John Wick it’s Tuesday.
@@gabriel.hongkongI believe that was the impossible task that Viggo had assigned to him. Viggo told him to eliminate all of his rival crime families in a single night, which is exactly what John did.
Like riding a bike 😂
I'd love for the next movie in the franchise to be about the impossible task that allowed him to walk away.
"You uh... working again?" Brilliant line. Both humerous and gives the audience a glimpse into the type of world John Wick operates in.
Clearly Jimmy knew all about John's past, and knew better than to get involved.
Notice that Jimmy took off his hat, signaling that the next question was off the record. Great plot point.
It's like Viggo was singing a song of lament for the men that he KNEW were going to die.
"Of course he did" - Viggo, soon after
Precisely that.
@@mrbond9882 Yes. Thank you. Corrected.
Thats an actual child lullaby Russians can be quite dark.
@Paradigmfusion It's not any creepier than talking about a fat man in red who spies on you all year before putting you on his "naughty/nice list."
I firmly believe the Jimmy is on the High Table's bank roll. When he takes off his hat, he is saying to John, "I'm not a cop right now." John knows this and he tells him he isn't back in the game. Love this scene.
Hi saw dead guys and took his hat off as respect for passing
Yeah no, taking off your hat is just an old way to show respect for the dead.
@benackdrums In the real world, sure. In movies it's a trope indicating "I'm not in a position of power right now."
he at the very least knows johns line of work and knows that not getting involved is easier for everyone.
He probably was "Hired" by the High Table, to keep an eye on John. And Jimmy knows enough about John and what he does, to not push to deep. Now Jimmy can go get a cup of coffee and a donut and call it a night.
"Goodnight John"
Smartest line said by any character ever.
Jimmy taking his hat off and covering his bodycam when he noticed the bodies was excellent acting.
By the moment he covers the camera, everything has been filmed
The simple fact that the Police know John and John knows the Police by name says a lot about John . Adding that the Police are letting this go says even more about John.
the sequels make it say a lot less. theres a gigantic underground organization that apparently rules the world and makes sure any and all of its members can get away with murdering basically anyone. thanks to the sequels, the cop is just following the rules here.
Something that I noticed on a second watch: Jimmy has his hand on his sidearm the entire time. After asking John if he's working and is told no, he removes his hand from his weapon and raises it to John. Someone else mentioned that the cop may actually be High Table which I think it likely. When John reassures Jimmy he's not back to working, he's no longer a potential threat to Jimmy/High Table and realizing the status quo is still there, decides to leave things alone. Love the reading between the lines both characters do here.
Gotta love how the police officer, after seeing a whole bunch of dead bodies, basically told John “understandable, have a good day”
Jimmy and Francis are the smartest men in the series.
I’m actually surprised cops still investigate noise complaints at John Wick‘s house when they already know it’s a bad idea. 😂
Jimmy is like “I don’t get paid enough to dig my nose in this.”
Jimmy’s a smart man
This is why Keanu is a legend his acting is fantastic i swear hes awesome 😂😂
Evenin John
Evenin Jimmy
Noise complaint?
Noise complaint ...
'Peeks in. Lowers hat out of respect'
You uh...working again?
No just sorting some stuff out.
Ah well... I'll leave you be then. G'night John.
G'night Jimmy.
Don't forget jimmy's words after John leaves. He is thinking things may get ugly
I think Jimmy is a fellow assassin, and moonlights as a police officer. I think that's why they have such casual conversation. It makes sense because Jimmy is aware that John isn't "working" anymore.
They say so little and yet say so much at the same time. This movie was too good.
Jimmy ain't dying tonight!!
2:34 This was my favorite scene because it separated the pros from John Wick. Normally, you'd shoot high to go for the kill. But since John is more experienced, he crouches and shoots low. Either way, he's hitting something and avoids being shot.
That take down roll and gunning was a strong move
What I like the most is the “none of these guys will regain consciousness” attitude.
I have the head-cannon that Jimmy was John's apprentice and when he asks "You working John?" is his way of saying "You need a hand?" But John can handle it solo
That opens up a whole avenue of possibilities in the Wickverse. Apprentices, children of, legacy characters learning under the characters we've come to know. Winston grooming his replacement rather than having it all taken away by some upstart rival? I'm there for that
Now that I think about it. Very possible. Either that of the cop, Jimmy, knows John well enough, when to leave it alone. Good call
@@johnhammond2492I always thought he was on payroll with the mob and was sent to “discover” a home intrusion and murder but when he got there and saw the opposite
This scene makes me laugh every time, at how lethal you must be to have a cop just leave after seeing a dead body on the ground...It's Great!!
Or maybe he's in the organization?
@@charlescox290 shhhh
Jimmy is a very smart cop! John and Jimmy are both so cool here 😎.
If any scene in any movie describes who John Wicks is, it is that one
I love how the music builds up at 1:28 and then just cuts out. This ain't your grandpa's rock 'n roll 80s action flick with a guitar solo in the background. This is the coldest antihero to ever grace the silver scteen
You'd expect John Wick to have better home security, at least lock his doors. But I guess if you're John Wick, you don't have to.
This scene is like comic relief in the middle of action.
I just realized after Jimmy sees the bodies he takes his hat to and appears to cover his body cam. Does anyone else think the same? Either way Jimmy knows the value of a friend like John.
I think it’s more a sign of respect towards John being back in action and Jimmy recognizing that despite John not wanting too, rather than it being about any potential the body cam. I think that’s why John doesn’t answer Jimmy the second time Jimmy asks in chapter 2 if he’s working again. Jimmy knows that John is back but John didn’t want to admit it to himself just yet.
The way Jimmy took his cap off after he saw the body! 😂
Jimmy will always be the smartest guy ever in the John Wick universe. My hats off to you, Jim Boy!
Come on guys let's use flashlights so he knows exactly where we are at
That kills me every time. Not only making yourself a high profile target but destroys your night vision too.
we need a movie about Jimmy and how he knows John Wick
This scene set the proper tone for this movie.
They brought an army to a John Wick fight.
Underrated (:
this are some dedicated hitman. Once i noticed all my guys getting killed im outta there
The way Jimmy slowly removes his hand from his side arm and shows it's empty before backing off. lol
That little half head twitch, right before he drops the beat.
Jimmy is probably the cop that survived when john had a problem with the police. So when he takes his hat off its not to the dead or because hes afraid of john in particular though he is. Its him saying “oh god… are you working again? Hpw bad is this gonna get”
How to sneak up on someone in the dark, wave a torch around they'll never see you then.
i think this is the only time we get to see johns back ink in the entire franchise
Who tf showers with the lights off😭y’all need to leave him alone
I'd like to make a Dinner reservation for Twelve!!!!
The good thing about this movie is that in this business, things are understood. Jimmy never asked "is everything OK?" He understood what business John was in, he knew that he could handle himself, and he knew that none of those guys were going to be a threat in the future. Even if any were still alive, they were as good as dead or in the process of dying.
"I'll leave you be then. But next time please make sure the volume on your new home theatre systems receiver is turned down. I also suggest you not use an action movie for a sound test. Someone might think those were real gunshots."
this movie has SO many good scenes .. Im browsing clip by clip on youtube just pressing "play next" and i swear ive seen the entire movie again just by these clips lol.

*Jimmy looks around*
“Yeah, gonna go have me a big ol’ cup of nopium. Evening, John.”
the way the they word things, I think Jimmy and the other guy, Fancis, use to or still do 'work' and have run into or worked with John in the past. so with Jimmy's 'you working again?' line, he knows what john did and does not want to get into that kind of mess, because they both have professional courtesy and respect what each other do.
that or they are really good friends with john and want to keep it that way, XD.
John was always so nice to jimmy, “hey jimmy! Night jimmy!” Such a polite up beat side of John
This is about on par with the scene from ‘The Town’ where the cop literally just looks the other way
Jimmy is a good guy
We need a prequel john wick series just about him
Jimmy deserves a great Christmas present.
Jimmy knows whats up.
Hey John, if you killing thugs, just keep the noise to a minimum next time. Good night.
Who else put on a suit and tie for a gun fight
I’ve often thought that Jimmy is either a former “co-worker” of John when he was working or a relative…like he’s John’s brother-in-law.
I really hope that last movie for this franchise is a prequel titled
The impossible task
Have a perfectly cast young John wick and the rest is history
This has the same energy as that henchman who opens a door, sees Batman, and goes "Nope, didn't see nothing!"
Back when “John Wick” made sense.
Everyone ignores the obvious - Jimmy wasnt put off by any of this because Jimmy used to be in the same line of work as John before Jimmy retired to become a cop.
That suppressor isnt working
"Evening John."
"Evening Jimmy. The usual?"
"The usual. I thought you retired."
"I did. This is...personal."
"Ahh, right, well in that case, I'll just leave you to it. Take care, John."
"Thanks, Jimmy."
"Fortis Fortuna Adiuvat"
"Fortune favors the bold."
Cop was like " marrone " 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Holy shit he looks so young in this one compared to the most recent
Came for the John Wick content, stayed for the Jimmy lovefest in the comments.
I LOVE that scene. Jimmy knows what's up.
Notice how fast John was in the first movie, in the fourth movie he is significantly slower for obvious reasons.
Seeing how Keanu moves in the first movie compared to the last really shows how beat up John Wick gets through the series. He's got fast, sharp, accurate movements here, but as the movies go on, injury and fatigue pile up, his strikes start to get sloppier, he develops this permanent half-limp and relies more and more on grappling when he's in close quarters; but he lives up to his reputation, powers through everything and finishes the fight.
"You aaaare working again?"
"No, just sorting some stuff out."
"I'll let you be then"
Mah boi is wicket smath
I have this rapport with my local firefighters, but not with the cops
😂
So at the 3:11 minute mark not only do we get one of the greatest uncut scenes in cinema being at 44 seconds but are we just Ignore the fact he held and turned that knife around by the BLADE!!
Jimmy: "Is that a part of my job, or you are working?"
John: "Mine"
Jimmy: "Oh well. Good Night John."
Imagine being John Wick’s neighbor.
I like the sound of the empty brass hitting the tile floor.
I really like how John put on an all black suit for this. I also think it says a lot about John that this is him when he’s the most rusty, he has no body armor and is literally just using his .45 and clearing his house. And he still gets through these guys entirely unscathed lol.
imagine how terrifying John wick would be if he was the villain, And he is already scary as the protagonist
John didn't look any stronger than those guys, just far more skilled and experienced.
A reputation can be a very powerful thing.
I love how jimmy just casually asks you working again? Nah, oh, I'll leave you be then and in then in the 2nd one asks him again, and John doesn't answer he ahh shit😂
The camera work is so good
There are three intelligent persons in this movie:
1. Aurelio
2. Francis
3. Jimmy
Be like them
Jimmy was worth exploring a bit more. Is he High Table, did John save his life, maybe John told him the absolute truth as soon as he moved there with a promise that he wouldn't cause any trouble (buried the briefcase in front of Jimmy). Lots of possibilities.
Then again, maybe picking one would spoil the mystery.
Nah. Let the mystery and joke stand on their own.
Why is the thumbnail AI
This was john wick 1, not 4. Laaaame
What's wild is that Jimmy is the only cop in any of these movies.
1:27 I like how it’s dark and he shows like a badass
"Just sorting some stuff out."
Just sorting out what to do with all those bodies.
I'm convinced after watching all these movies that the whole world is just a bunch of gangster assassins except me.
you uh, working again?
sure dude lmaoooooooooooooooooo
Jimmy said nope, F this. Goodnight.
Fun fact, the local PD knows who John is and leave him alone as long as no civilians are harmed.
