- Today I install Harbor Freight's all new Racing Go Kart Engine. Things do not go as planned but we figure out it! Stay tuned for the tests on this bad boy!!

I'm so glad you pointed out the pulse fitting. I just got my predator ghost in, and the non predator pulse pump I ordered is definitely missing that piece. Ordering today.
The one thing I needed to see, how you set the throttle cable up, was completely cut out. Awesome. Lol.
Hi Tanner...run across & Google Calis Azusa, I think you'll find what you need there , cable fixtures & fittings etc..,have a look they've got an online catalogue...easy still if you fit a mild 22mm bike slider carbs to it if you've got a std predator or 160-196cc- 212cc clone engine, especially if you've disconnected the governor/throttle likeage, fitting a bike slider type carb makes hooking up a throttle cable as easy as fitting on a bike.Cheers from NewZealand.
What exhaust are you using on the cart looks awesome!!! or is it custom?
My ghost motors make the same exact sound. I did a 3ish hour break in and then a 100 mile mini bike trail enduro event. I was running max throttle for like 4 hours with no breaks other than to refill. Still runs great 🤷♂️

Try VP 4 cycle fuel. Its ethanol free, 94 octane. I run it in my 212 and its a huge difference. It starts first pull most of the time and I dont even choke it anymore, it runs amazingly especially paired with the Autolite predator racing spark plug. I was blown away by the results

what i love is you talk bad about that it "shouldnt" sound like that but put no effort into explaining or showing why.... if it doesnt sound right then crack it open and figure out why. this will be a big help to the rest of the community. just shaking your head and saying it shouldnt sound like that isnt a definite answer to anything.
Just installed thus engine on my coleman bt200x and makes the same knocking sound and vibration is nuts on it until I hit 19mph then goes away until I some to a stop or I have to slow down but with a Mikuni racing carburetor and a uni air filter and a racing clutch and a straight chain shit hits 70mph
My ghost quit starting. Did everything g I could, changed coil , then started smoking out of carb , I just took it out and put a tillotson back in it , much happier

had mines 1st day I installed a torque converter and within an hr of riding the bolt broke off in the crankshaft and became lodged and i couldn't get it out..i just returned it and presto she runs great

Welcome to the Predator Ghost Engines, I've only seen videos on them where they shake so bad after a couple minutes of running. For the price of a Ghost Racing Engine and the Accessory kit, I can buy a 10hp Tillitson 212 and save a bunch of money and have better performance.
I have the same noise on mine haven't taken it back yet im on day 33 ride it almost everyday! Im nit sure if its something wrong but there is alot of slop in crank

I have a Honda 240 gx that I wanted to put on a frame I have but the crank shaft is 1" diameter and sticks out 3.5" from case, how much does the Ghost stick out?
my motor came from a trash pump so not sure if this was a thing because of that? Great video love what you Do! 🤙
I have a gokart with a gx240 on it should be fine but couldn’t get mine to move
With the governor on it, took it out and it runs about 60 mph
I've learned alot since Commenting that, made a new engine plate, mounted it, still haven't figured out what gearing it/ me like😂

you need to switch the coil out believe it or not it has an rpm limiter you do that you get all the rpm you want when you get anew one jsyk
Hey I was just wondering did you have the stock rod in the motor I just ordered a billet flywheel for mine and I was thinking about replacing the rod
Flywheel for sure but the rod should be good. It’s heat treated aluminum
@@JacobSherwood I’m pretty sure the stock predator 212 rod and the ghost have the same rod. Red beard on TH-cam or someone made a video of the internals and it’s scary. Worth a watch.
Do you prefer the clutch over a torque converter for drifting?
It really depends on how your going to build the engine. If you’re going to leave the motor pretty much stock and you have a heavy kart go with the torque converter if you’re doing a engine build with a heavy kart go with the torque converter with a juggernaut. If your kart is light and you’re going to be on the road a lot get a clutch and if you modify the motor with a spicy cam you’ll need to change the spring in your clutch to get the rpm’s up before it grabs cause performance cams raise the torque of the engine to a higher rpm. Most all cutches like max torque and cheap knock offs have a spring to change. If you want a clutch with some adjustments get a bully, viper, cheetah something like that they cost alot but worth it

Did you ever determine what it is that’s actually making that noise? I just go this engine because my old gx200 had rod issues and made that same noise. Now the new ghost I got makes the same noise but louder!! I just want a motor that sounds like a motor. 😡😫 have you determined a way to fix this clattering? It sounds like it’s banging on the blower housing or cord recoil. Idk. It’s very annoying!!

@@jacobsebastien3910 I know I’ve been looking around construction sites and I find a bunch of 10 inch pvc. But those inner diameter‘s are 9 3/4 and my tire only fits is 9 1/4

Put a billet flywheel in it before you even start it !!.. they put a crappy DANGEROUS cast flywheel in those. don't take any chances, change it out. Those cast flywheel are a bomb waiting to go off.

Break in oil is a waste of time and money but if it makes you feel good go ahead and use it. I hear that in the Ghost owners manual it says 10 hours for break in. I wonder what they were smoking.

Cam gear lash can make quite a noise if it has stiffer than stock valvesprings
Looks more like just excessive crankshaft endplay. I have an engine with extremely stiff valve springs and the cam gear lashing sounds like knock of death. But, it has almost 40 hours on it and going strong. Bearings in the rod still look new.
