You're the best!! 😭 Im also using the R500 & my paint feed cup cracked. Now I'm looking for an alternative to upgrade it to the 3M system. You really helped me out with making a decision. God bless you. 🙏🏽
Exactly what I needed to know. I have the cups in my cart from your last video, but didn't order because I didn't know which adapter I needed. Thanks, this helped a lot!
At last been waiting weeks chris for this video on the PPS cup 🥤 system I had the 3m and I put the lid on and it started to Leak paint all over 3m gave me a full box very well explained chris
Can you do a video on the filters? When you use the 125 or 190? Do you use 190 with base or clear or do you use the 125 and why? Or does it matter much? I’m confused as to what to use and order.

Series 2 cups add up to over 2 bucks each and is the reason I didn't buy the performance gun. $136 for a 50 cup set doesn't work for me. I just buy the harbor freight refills now. If I need a new plastic cup I just get the HF starter kit. All very affordable. Buy 10 or buy 50. No one else gives that option.
I not sure how harbor freight compares in price. I go through a lot so I like to buy them in bulk and harbor freight only ever has small amounts. Appreciate the support brother!
Hi, I`ve been using the 3M system but will now use these. Just for your information did you know that after filling the cup with paint & connecting to gun, if you turn the whole lot upside down after hooking up to airline and fully pull trigger back until paint starts to flow you are then able to use the gun upside down.
No one answers these questions, so: if you don’t invert the gun will it still flow paint to the tip? Or must you invert the gun to get paint to flow properly? Does the inside cup always collapse ? I see quite a few (You Tube) painters using these systems and it doesn’t show the inside liner collapsing? Hard to tell how much actual paint remains in the cup once it does that? Thanks for your time!
@@kevinhintz1903 Kevin, to be able to paint with the gun upside down, you must first exclude all the air from the inside cup. To do this, first fill the cup with paint, then connect to gun, whilst still upside down, attach to airline. Now keeping it inverted pull trigger until paint begins to flow. If you look into cup you will see the inside liner collapsing. You can now hold the gun in any position to spray without loss of flow.
Is there any need to use a strainer when filling the cup or is the strainer in the lid adequate? I’m slowly getting ready for my first paint job and your videos are extremely helpful. Thank you so much!
Great video Chris, I've tried a few different disposable cup systems, I tried the Sata RPS but it's quite expensive and the little cap you need to pop open before you paint used to do my nut in as I keep forgetting to open it. Also tried the Colad snap lid which I liked but there are a lot of parts to it plus I had a few cups split when fitting the lids, what I used now is the 3M PPS 2.0 and I'm really liking them and haven't had any problems using them but they are expensive 🙄👍John UK
I used the pps 2.0 but switched all guns to the 1.0 because of these aftermarket cups. I only use the 2.0 for the 3m performance now. Appreciate the comment and support!
I got the spectrum from HF and it confused me. I thought I was smart enough to figure it out, but it wasn't adding up. So I've been looking for someone to explain it, but nothing seemed to be getting to the problem I have been having. I have decided that the cup is just marked wrong. The 2:1:1 is as follows. There's the the 1 on the left 1 in the middle and 1 on the right. Then there's the 2 the next 2 then a 1? Ok. There's the 3 then the middle 3 and then a 1 in the right. They forgot to continue with the numbers and kept putting a 1 on the right. If I'm wrong, tell me please
I use this PPS. When I want to separate the PPS-cup from the gun, I turn the gun, so that the cup is standing and I dont touch the lever, but the cup is always yet under pressure und some paint comes out. This occurs even I cut off the pressure hose before. Btw: How comes the pressure into the cup??? Regards WoW
7:39 no offence, but that is the worst I have ever seen spraying primer.(or anything) lol! If your only getting a 1 inch fan you really should fix the problem not spray stripes all over it lol
Another great video. One of the best auto body & painting youtubers!! 🔥

just found out sagola has pretty much the same system. sagola dpc cups were cheaper but the shipping made it out to be the same price as the spray iq
That's cool! Just checked them out. Appreciate the comment, im intrested in trying these out.
The Harbor Freight cup system is $10 for 10, and I stock up when they do 30% off items under $20 haha 👍 they’re 20oz I believe.
That's a good suggestion. I just find it easy to order it off Amazon the price is close to the same. Appreciate the comment brother!
which cup system filters should you get for general primer, basecoat, clearcoat? the 125 or 190 micron filter caps? great video. thanks
125 is a finer filter. Honestly I don't really pay too much attention to it and haven't had any issues with ethier one.
On the Spray IQ website they say that 190 is for solvent base and 125 is for water base.
Where is the link for harbour freight adapter for the gun. I have the same gun, plz.
I don't have the link I just went to the store.
How do they vent ? Like all your videos
No vent and they work great.

Just be safe use a strainer.
What's your opinion of Harbor Freight cup system? I noticed you used the HF adapter but not the cups.
they work great! very similar to the savito and spray IQ
@Garage Noise cool because I bought the system but haven't used it yet. Waiting on spring.
Thanks Chris!
Any time!
This cup system contains at each lid a filter. Do you use the filter of the gun additionally? Thanks WoW
Yes it has lids and filters for each liner. You can also use a paint strainer when you mix.
Nice budget paint system for DIY user. When to use 125 micron and 200 micron filter? Is higher always better ?
Where do you get that gallon dispenser you have on that primer gallon can?
Here's the link I take the paddle off the top and use a drill to mix.

@@GarageNoise thank you very much! Does it seal the paint well versus just using the lid? Looks easy to dispense
