You guys and a woman in Ukraine on Twitter have inspired me to investigate getting a driver's license at my (creak, wheeze) age. I doubt we'll have anything like VSPs here, a license will be required. For a while, the AMI was available to "share" (rent!) in Washington, DC from Citroen's rental ("share") arm. It required a license to drive. Zut Alors! Thanks for the happy video.
There is a company that you can rent to own one I believe in the US They are considered a neighborhood car under federal regulations so it should also be about as easy to import as a go cart. Idk how registering it would go depending on the state. Seem like easy to work on fun easy to store away little cars.

Just managed to see your latest video. Last year we were in the first car park that you were in and had the same issue with payment. Fortunately there was someone in the office so we could pay. The parking spaces are small for a conventional car. The market was well worth the visit. Keep up the good work.
That was a lovely excursion into Italy 👍. It's great that you can also drive Elton in Italy without a licence. Maybe we'll be seeing you taking Elton on a tour all around Italy at some point 🙂

Ventigmilia is brilliant, the best coffee on the Côte d'Azur, cheap and amazing food, a great market, cheap shopping. Luckily the posh folk avoid it. The car park now in VXX now has a chap who helps you work out how to pay at the machine -no really, it does.
Well done guys, another successful challenge. A super video, mega interesting as I had never been over the border to Italy! Good old Elton is the perfect car for Ventimiglia streets. And the charging cost was an eye opener, especially as it was a public charger. Perhaps the future is electric after all :-)

Another great video, and another reminder not to touch and electric car for another ten years at least LOL. A word to the wise, if your going by rail east from Nice eg to Monaco, Menton or Ventimiglia, for some reason French trains use the French word for Ventimiglia - Vintimille. They seem to be the only ones who do, but maybe that's just the convention. Caused me no end of confusion.

@@MeandMonAmi I think now must be the best time. At Menton you have the garden botanic and the other I have forgotten and of course the garden hanbury at Mortola.
Just before the border crossing take the smalll road left that leads to the old border crossing ('Day of the Jackal") and that road, Croce de Mortola I recall, leads to Jardins Hansbury. It is possible to walk this from Menton. The Menton Jardin Botanique now comes up as Val Rameh, I think there is another even, really looks interesting, on the next trip. Monaco has been rebuilding theirs and that should be reopened soon. Bon voyage, guys.

Are you sure that the italian law allows for the driving of this without any type of license tho? Some (most of the EU countries actually) require you to have at least an AM cattegory to drive this. You could've gotten into a lot of trouble tbf.
This video got me thinking: Can you legally drive a sans permis in Italy? Is it OK as long as it has French number plates? What about Monaco, that's not France either? Could you bring it arround Europe, and still drive legally?
Or do you get an actual AM licens by application? In Norway: long tim ago, anyone 16yo could drive a moped. Then they needed a license, if they were less than 20yo. Today everyone needs a licence, but if you were born before 1985, you can get a license by submitting an application, without training, but only 2-wheel moped.
We are certainly insured for Italy and they have sans permis. Monaco also has sans permis so same applies. Not sure which other countries of Europe we could drive in legally..

I think the adaptors get nicked. No motorway tolls as we aren’t allowed on it. We are 28mph max!
