When I saw this in the video previous to this one I did think that the left rear wheel had lost traction because of the camber of the road, and as it was spinning faster than the right the differential had then put all the power to the left rear wheel and nothing to the right rear. Just a limit to how much articulation there is in the suspension.
Oh what a tease! Just needed a push. But who doesn't? Those houses on the narrow streets are a mystery to me. Do people stay in all the time? Or are we seeing the back and they go out the front? Another fun video. Thanks!
Well, Elton recovered nicely! And Mr. Boo takes "matters" into his own hands! "We once went to a goat circus. It was one of the more exciting weeks at the south of France, wasn't it?" Great to continue the Belle Époque adventure and enjoy more laughs and smiles! Good it was just Elton getting stuck in a medieval moat and not his rubber band that popped. What was it 'that AMI-care' suggested, Mr. Boo do, give a push? Hiya, Just wondering- those canyons of green - if there is any kind of wildlife there? Have you encountered any on your drives? also Anything about Cary Grant is ok with me!! I'll have to make a trip there for sure. Merci.
@@MeandMonAmi it's realy entertaining and enjoyable how you travel arround being able to ride on free charging, while in other ways kind of annoying that you make a big deal about it, because charging isn't that expensive anyway, and "glorifying" free charging strengthens the impression amongst EV-haters that EV drivers are parasites, because someone has to pay for the power eventually, and they don't get free fuel. I think most free public charging are free because handling payments would add significantly to the cost, so they decide to offer the convenience for free, because they know it is a decision factor to some people. I rarely use public charging, even if they are available and free, because even with the range I gain, I have to plug in at home, and when I don't actually need it. My battery is 10× larger than you, while I have only about 5× your range, because the consumption is a 2×. Here's my take on it, with some positive and negative, and general thoughts: + free public charging is nice, - spend time handling the cable to connect/disconnect - blocking the spot for someone that actually needs it. * still have to top up at home, because I didn't spend enough time there. * paying for all charging at home isn't too expensive compared to inconvenience with cables, and to others with smaller batteries that actually needs the charge. When/if we get an Ami, when we want a second vehicle, I think we'll still mostly rely on home charging, because it would be more of a neighbourhood commute, but of course the shoter range will make public charging more important.
I don’t what it is in French but Mr Tim, you’ve got some serious cojones to try and drive through those alleys!!

T-shirts are a good idea :)
Thanks
I must let you know…
Re: Your references to I could crush a conker and I could crush an olive.
It was Crackerjack Mr Boo!! 😂
Catchphrases such as “Ooh I could crush a grape”, and “I could rip a tissue”, coined by Stu Francis, who presented the show in the 1980s,
Thanks Chris! I’d forgotten the ripping of the tissue!
You know when a man is concentrating, when you see his tongue sticking out between his lips "Ooooo I could Crush a grape", Larry Grayson saying , The Mini Moke you so were Citroen Mehari, 2CVs with a fiberglass bodies. PS T-shirt YES, only if Elton is on it.
Yes Elton will be on it! And yes my tongue!
I think the Phantom Raspberry blower was Spike Milligan🤔
Not Ronnie?
The Phantom Raspberry Blower of Old London Town was a 1971 episode of LWT’s Six Dates with Barker that was written by Spike Milligan and later adapted by Ronnie Barker for the Two Ronnies sketch show. (Acknowledgement: Wikipedia)
Top guys. Great Video and well driven
Thanks Robert
Thanks Robert
Great video, brought back memories visiting St Janette in out peaugeot 3008, terrified 😨, lovely places and nice restaurant review. We're booked fir next year see you then maybe you'll have the t 👕. That's a great idea. Love the expressions of Mr Boo, Elton seems to manage quite well and your innuendos are a brilliant use of the English language.
Thanks Tony
Beautiful locations!
Thanks
What mastery of trajectory bravo!! Seeing the narrowness of the streets, don't you sometimes break into a cold sweat?
Yes though I’m getting a little calmer!
I wish you would mention the songs in your video in the description. Sometimes I spend hours trying to find them.
Just use "shazam" to find them in seconds!
Glad you are liking them. Shazam does have them or Siri knows if you say ‘what’s this song?’..
Two really nice guys in Le ami driving through beautiful villages in the sunshine ☀️. What’s not to like !.
Thanks Antonio
Hiya, Just wondering- those canyons of green - if there is any kind of wildlife there? Have you encountered any on your drives? also Anything about Cary Grant is ok with me!! I'll have to make a trip there for sure. Merci.
Wild boars in season and lots of them!
Cannot beat a good steak tartar and at €47 for two for lunch, good value.
Yup not bad
The suspense 😮
Was the state of charge when you came home, as when you started?
You have to add the what you pay for charging at home to you free trip.
😀😃❤
Not if you use our nearby free public charger! We had about 20km left on a round trip of at least 80km
Here's my take on it, with some positive and negative, and general thoughts:
+ free public charging is nice,
- spend time handling the cable to connect/disconnect
- blocking the spot for someone that actually needs it.
Living the dream ,you lucky sods.😊😊
Thanks
That Steak Tartare would go well with some Piccalilli.
You know it would! Lovely
Love the vids guys. Thinking of getting an Ami. One question (sorry if it’s been asked before) are you allowed to park in motorbike bays?
I don’t think so unless they are e charging bays
showing your age and Britishness, The Mini Moke Rally was a Citroen Mehari (2CV based jeep) rally.
Indeed my sight is not the best!
Did Mr. Boo just say he has square boules? Incroyable!! 😂
He did!
@@MeandMonAmi It must be so very uncomfortable?
Very cool trip and scenery, and great that Elon and the gang came home without to much hassel!
Thanks Tore. He lives to fight another day
What went wrong was the car on three wheels and the differential (Trying to sound technical) letting the wheel spin?
I think just one wheel spinning in the central gutter of the street
Stu, Francis, crush or grape
It was stu Francis who used to say I could crush a grape he also said I cou rip a tissue
Rip a tissue! Lol
I can see I'm going to end up getting an ami for zooming about Leeds
You need it!
