Anyone else shocked by how almost modern this stove looks for over 100 years old? What a timeless design! Gorgeous. Also, I'm so sorry about the compound. I have no doubt you'll find your perfect property ❤

Was lovely to watch. Super satisfying watching the soap being wiped off. I could almost feel the warm cloth texture. And the sheen after was gorgeous.

Both of your family stoves are very special and well preserved. I have a large vintage stove from the 1920's that I use as a buffet server and decorating place. It sits in my family room. Every one LOVES it! And, I LOVE YOUR Great Grandmother's stove. Hugs, Patti

This was so satisfying to watch. I have been salivating over this same style of stove for years and hope to get one eventually. There is one at the antique shop my husband and I frequent in Point Pleasant, NJ in green and white; every time we go I spent about 15 mins staring at it picturing it in my house. Great job Emelyne❤️It is gorgeous.

Oh My Gosh I Love This. I bought a vintage magic chef gas stove a1939 or 1940,s style range stove. It is just like the kind my Grandma had. I restored it by cleaning removed rust on burners underneath the top burners is a tray really rusted, I cleaned the rust off & painted it with fire resistant paint they use for car motors, fixed knobs by fixing the springs behind knobs. It is so satisfying to restore. Oh I bought some Jubilee kitchen wax what my Mom & Grandma use to use to put on it. LOL.. I Love Your Channel. P.S. I still have to have a professional to wire up the oven right.♥️ And For My Birthday I wanted a glass coffee pot just like the one you have my Son ordered it for me on Ebay this year I use it every morning.. You did a beautiful job.

I hear you. I grew up in metro Detroit area and knew I wanted to live further outstate. I thought at first I wanted to live in the country, which I did after college with an older couple. But after one winter (I stayed there two winters) I knew the right path was a small town rather than rural. I bought a home in mid-Michigan and love being here. I go back to the metro area for events and family gatherings (everyone else in the family still lives there), but I could not imagine ever living there again for the same reasons you list.

It was nice that you loved the idea for the family compound but it’s true not everyone will like what you’ll like. It’s all good. I’m originally from North Jersey but I moved to Pennsylvania. I’m basically on the border of NJ and PA but it’s absolutely Beautiful here in Pennsylvania and extremely affordable way more than in NJ. The property tax in Pennsylvania is very affordable and even the gas and electric is way affordable than in NJ and NY. We’re two hours away from NY which is not to bad. My son in law is from Queens so at least he is close enough to visit the family. Hope this helps. God Bless and pray that you find the special home. ✝️🙏🌸

Those burners are cast iron. The grates too. You really shouldn’t have painted them, not even with high heat paint. Cleaned the rust only. If they were originally enameled you can get then reenameled. The grates can be rechromed. You should have the valves serviced and possibly lubed. Safety check important. You might also be able to get a replacement knob for that broken one. Grapevine Sally or Antiquegasstoves.

When all things were made in the United States, it was done right and it lasted now all our shit comes from China and that’s what it is is shit is it for two years and it breaks down and you go buy another one and that breaks down etc. etc. etc. And they try to hype it up with more gadgets on it it’s simple you don’t need all the bullshit on it touchtone and all this crap turn on the gas cook your food it’s done and eat. Everything’s gonna be so complicated today that’s why it was nicer back in the days. Everything was much simpler and laid-back, just take a lamp that runs on oil or even a candle and light it and read a book with no noise you’ll see how serene it is

Please look at the camera as if you were talking to a real person because I am a real person and do not like your eyes roaming everywhere while you’re talking! I love those old stoves!

Adore old appliances and yours is very special and lovely. We have my mother-in-law's 1959 stove. It needs a little work, one burner isn't working, but I love it!
