Very helpful, thank you for your video and time, BUT so if I understand correctly, I need to put a XM Plus receiver on the board since the quad will not bind with the receiver? Here's my story, (short version) I have had 2 brand new boards and when I first plug in the battery there is a small amount of smoke. Happened on both FCs I received. Everything works on Beta flight, the motors and all work but it will not bind to the receiver. Is this normal? or is it because I need the XM Plus receiver installed? I've been working on and off with this for 3 years. When I hold in the bind button on the board the flashing lights go out and do not go solid to bind. But the green light is on. I think it comes with a buzzer now. Mine did. My mob7 keeps restarting when i touch the battery cables/power cables. How do you replace the power cables on the mobula 7? Do you think it could be something besides the cables? Thanks and great video.
My Mobula 7 needed a replacement 5v reg after about a week of use, also a separate rx as the spi one wouldn't keep bound to my transmitter, I also added a buzzer and swapped the camera too as the light /dark transition was very bad on the original. So not much original Mobula7 left really !!! Still flying though after many many flights 😊
I landed in grass very softly after a 20 meter first flight. Now my Crazybee F4 Pro V2 will still power up, but I don't get the 4 beeps at the end, like I used to. I can't spin up the motors in Betaflight, and even though it's still bound, and my QX7 shows it's bound with switches all working. Can't get motors to spin. Fragile boards! This my 3rd bad one. My Mobula7 HD burst into flames on 1st power up from the stock battery, 2nd FC simply wouldn't power on. This 3rd one actually flew for 2 meters! AMAZING! LOL I guess I should be happy?!!! 😩 🙄 So, do you think this board can be fixed? My guess is the ESC's are bad? Or?? ... If it can be fixed, how would I go about doing it? The V2 version of the CrazyBee has very electrically noisy ESCs that produce large spikes on the power rails. Sometimes the ESCs fry but more often the 5V BEC can't cope with them and fries. The V3 version is much better and has upgraded ESCs and different BEC - 5V buck inverter.
It's easily done if you hold the soldering iron on the pad for too long, I recommend not just relying on the flux in the solder. Use some separate flux like Amtech.
