- In light of the recent videos regarding these two cars, my friend Josh and I decided to make our own video showing the difference in performance between the two vehicles. The Fusion Sport is tuned, and the Mustang is not. In this video, we show the stock tune performance of the Fusion Sport, and we switch to an E30 tune to show the performance.

My fusion sport has a intercooler, 3 inch downpipes, steeda cold air. Velossa ram intake, Unleashed 93 octane tune, rear motor mount, upgraded spark plugs gapped to 0.28, steeda throttle body spacer and steeda blowout valve.

That is about what I expected. I have owned both. And mustang on 93 tune ran a 12.57 with a drag radial of course and the fusion on a 93 unleashed tune ran a 12.60. Good runs and would like to see more. To the owner of the Mustang. Get an intecooler, the stock one is garbage.
The last roll on stock vs stock tune shows that you can’t just flash a tune and be at full power. You need to drive the tune and get the OAR (KOM for Cobb). That’s going to add timing once the car recognizes it has the correct fuel in it. Also, the stock tune won’t adjust correctly to e30 AFRs, so you’re at a disadvantage not running 93 on the stock tune. The right way to do it is stock on 93, drive it for a little while (holding about 2-7 psi of boost at highway speeds locked in top gear for 10 seconds and doing it a few times should get it to -1/1 depending on tuner), then race. Same goes for the unleashed tune. We didn’t even see its full potential. Source: e30 ecoboost mustang that has been tuned on unleashed and PD tuning e30 and 93, along with lots of research.
For sure! We left out a bunch of bits and pieces that were boring. We started the day with the fusion on E30, since that's what was already in it. I personally have had 3 different Ecoboost cars, and Josh for sure knows what he's doing with his. We both agree in you being correct, not going back to back switching tunes, driving it for a bit, we just left the out. Most educated people know to do that.
Man that JMA grills look awesome but they're pricey as hell for some pieces of plastic

By the racing n the different speeds the mustang definitely has a higher gear ratio, but according to stock figures it should be the other way around ??

I would love to see the SHO go against these to see how it does. Which is what I really wanted to get but the logical part of me won out.
The biggest difference between these 2 featured is the Fusion actually has a useable rear seat and a bigger trunk. Much more of a practical car, but can still be a lot of fun. I am sure the insurance is much cheaper as well.
You'll probably laugh, because I am not really into racing and whatnot, but I went with the Fusion Hybrid. I am getting between 55-60mpg. Got as high as 84mpg once. I went from filling my tank at least once a week to once every 5 weeks. I don't see myself ever going back to gas only.
I just know from test driving all 3 I gotta say the sho is the fastest for sure and could easily compete with 5.0s

E30 is equal to 94 octane, I love my 100 tune on my eco.
@@mustang5ojeff e30 is not equal to 94 octane, otherwise the jump from 87-89-93 would by astronimacally different. if full quality E85-E100 can be compared to 100-110 Octane. E30 is estimated to be around 97 octane as you generally mix it with 93 octane. Please don't say false things like this.
Most gas stations actually cut their gasoline with around 10% ethanol to improve profits, a lot of tuners account for this so realistically e30 is slightly higher than its own name.

Just an fyi, using drag mode from a roll is much slower then using sport plus or track from a roll. Drag mode is only good for drag racing, aka, dig racing. What u have found in my experiences

Not a bit. The fusion sport is a great daily, and a sleeper. People commented all the time on it/them. But where I live, the mustang is so much more fun. A tad impractical when I take trips and want to take friends, but it's so much more fun in the mountains
10 speed in that fusion would be nice

The stock fusion is crap. Mine was stock I think for 2 days until Tori hooked me up with a 93 tune. I flashed it back to stock one day just to see, such trash.

I own a Sport Fusion I would much rather have that than a 2.3 Mustang. I would not have a non V8 mustang unless it was converted to a V8..lol.
