How to Catch Suspended Bass on a Weightless Fluke

- Suspended Bass can be difficult to catch. The key to getting them to bite is having the right lure in the strike zone for the right amount of time. One of my favorite techniques to catch suspended Largemouth Bass is by using a weightless Fluke, or soft plastic jerkbait. While the word "Fluke" is a branded term from the Zoom Bait Company, they're often referred to as soft plastic jerkbaits. I am one of the co-owners of CPF Lures. We make our own version of soft plastic jerkbait that we call a Shad Jerk. Our proprietary plastic blend makes the last much long, which means more fish per bait.

I remember years ago when the only public ramp was near the post office. The new ramp angered many rich people out there. Rumors were the ramp was put in at an unnecessary steep angle, and parking is at a distance. There's good bassin' there. It gets too crowded on weekends.
The ramp is okay, but yes, the parking is too far away and there’s not enough dock space.
Hey Chuck, Not quite sure what you meant, regarding the hooks. Am i looking for ones with the angle on the step up, or the part the line tie is on, angled down a bit?
Hard to explain in text, but you want the offset part to angle down on the eye-side so that the head of the bait stays put. Not sure if I did a good job explaining that. Owner, Mustad, Hayabusa all make good 4/0 ewg thin wire hooks. We, CPF, have a good 4/0 2X hook but it’s too thick for this application

What brand of hook do you prefer?
I was using a 4/0 extra wide gap that we used to offer at CPF Lures. We discontinued it. It was called a 1X. We still offer it in a heavier wire option called a 2X
I tried to get 4 bags of the jerk shads at sale price then at check out it's full price. What happened?
I ordered some recently at sale price. But now cannot get the sale price.
Not sure what would’ve happened there. Not all colors are on sale for $1.99. The only colors still on sale are ones we have excess quantities of.
