NIT, IIT എല്ലാം deemed സ്ഥാപനങ്ങൾ ആയത് കൊണ്ട്, ഒരു പ്രൊഫസർ ആയ ഇദ്ദേഹം പറയുന്ന പോലെ സ്റ്റുഡൻ്റ്സ് അവരുടെ academics നെ അത് ബാധിക്കുമെന്ന പേടി കാരണം തുറന്നു പറയില്ല. സർ name ആവർത്തിച്ച് ചോദിച്ച് ജാതി ഏതാണെന്ന് മനസിലാക്കുന്ന രീതി ഉണ്ട്. സര്ക്കാര് സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളിൽ പാടില്ലാത്തതായ മത ചടങ്ങുകൾ, NIT ഇൽ നടത്താറുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അവിടെ നടക്കുന്ന പൂജകൾ ചെയ്യാൻ, ബ്രാഹ്മണരായ വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളെ തേടി നടക്കുന്ന അധ്യാപകർ അവിടെ ഉണ്ട്. ഒരു NIT യിൽ ഈ ഒരു അവസ്ഥ ആണെങ്കിൽ, ബാക്കി ഇന്ത്യയുടെ കാര്യം ആലോചിക്കാവുന്നതെയുള്ളൂ

I attended a 2 week course at IIT Madras long time back. Most of the professors there are brahmins.
Dat is not related caste discrimination . If they are in iit they have d metal for it and we know they would not land up there through reservation.

But the number of brahmins during every intake will stand 50%. So can you tell me who is getting reservation here.

For context, Prof. Vipin did his PG in Europe as a recipient of the Erasmus Mundus postgraduate scholarship. And avarde department ill most of them are SC - St's and got their by reservation (most of them) and these people has been delaying her promotion just because she is Nair.and ith mathram alla this auntie had to face many problems in her office because she is Nair caste.

I am BTech IIT Madras and also from Tamil Brahmin community. I have not heard of such cases when I studied but I will believe what Vipin is saying as brahmin community still has caste bias and discriminating attitudes. Also, we are hearing of more such cases from IIT Madras in recent years. So, Government should appoint a legal commission to take some disciplinary action and bring inclusiveness among faculty members. Even Harvard University and most US Corporations have such inclusiveness policies to ensure representation for African Americans.

Hindu High caste dominance can be found in all Indian systems. Whether it is Govt or Private sector jobs, they will only prefer their own people for the vacant decision making posts. Rest all other low post goes to other castes. Dominance of other castes will never appreciated by them.
When I was in UP there was an incident when we had to shift our stuff from the railway to the rental house. Those days it was the cycle rickshaw. There was a lot of heavy stuff. He asked for a fair price. We were ready to give it. But the houseowner slapped the puller saying his caste was not allowed to ask such high prices. Now when I see nookku kooli in our place I can't but compare the societal advancement kerala has made. Satyam paranjal it's not hindu muslim divide that is the biggest. Even the atrocities against the muslims in tbe north has a bit to do with caste as well. I don't see upper caste muslims being hacked to death. And India never allows any international organisation to even talk about this issue saying it's internal matter when it's actually systematic apartheid.

I have heard several average brahmin students refer to themselves as ' very intelligent ' . Brahmins act like institutions are their family property. They only hire other brahmins
I have studied at IIT madras and would like to say that most of the teachers there are Brahmins, but I havnt faced any issues regarding my caste or discrimination there.

@@hp1802 might be, all of these discrimination stories are coming from the humanities department. So I think this may be the issue of only that specific department. I come from an OBC caste and I havnt felt any discrimination from the professors nor staffs in my department.
