I wish the unit sizes where larger in mow2. Tanks seem OP because you only have 5-4 man infantry squads. AS2 had some conscript squads with like 15 men.

Yeah I have a really bad feeling about this, I don't think there's been many changes. Some content creators already have access and it looks more or less the same. GOH is just superior in practically every way, it's a real shame.
The UI resembles War Thunder, which I dislike. It's supposed to have the gritty, classic style akin to HOI4 or GOH.
I've played all the mow games and enjoyed them all, everyone should calm down, this latest version has loads of content, a scalable UI and a slick and attractive menu system. Loads of units and very fun gameplay. The curious decision to make the game always online should be addressed and the omission of British forces and their allies which will presumably follow as dlc is noticeable.
This is a good game that is being harshly judged because it tries to make the brand more popular to a wider audience. I recommend this game.
I'm totally on the fence about getting that game. I was so excited at first, but hell idk, we already got GOH and on top of that... it JUST received a major update with enhanced modular german infantry uniforms that takes less space on GPU Vram and a new game mode. And CTA/GOH are already 64bit and have a nice stablished modding community.
It also isn't the end of the major updates, because GoH team promised to do that same enhanced modular uniform treatment to the rest of the game's factions AND work have already started on a new faction DLC which will already come with the modular uniform system. I mean, imagine how cool it is to have every single soldier have a different fluff, be it a damaged helmet, a rolled-up sleeve, an additional ammo pouch, etc.
The modding scene on GOH is not very big. Some big mods, such as hotmod, even changed its requirements to have the USA dlc or you can't play with it anymore :/
If what you are looking for is more realism and immersion, GOH will still be king.
Thanks to youtube for denying me to find honest opinions of this game, just passed 2 hours on steam just realised that gates of hell is so much better😂

I just bought this and I have found that a lot of the reviews that I read on steam before I bought it Were bullshit the negative ones. I like the game so far. Lots of game modes lots of missions. I don't give a shit about multi player. And I don't give a crap that I have to be on the internet to play Single player. There's no lag. Should they change that yes, is that a big huge issue that everybody needs to be bitching no. Most of the negative reviews I see about this game are about the multiplayer.
men of war assault squad 2 is not better the game and mods crash why to much and i have gone thought 3 different graphics cards and noting his not change noting the games and mods are a joke and its a waste of money

The game is just like mowas2 but better now. (There is a "realism" gamemode that has the exact same rules as mowas2)
more arcade, yes. but better gameplay and some good innovations.
Still have all what made mow, mow.
Will be as modable as mowas2 too.
Graphically, it does look like a 2016 game. It is still better looking than mowas2.

That may made them lost almost a year of active development.
They also lost an incredible amount of time pushing their f2p arena idea and failing hard. Then scrapping it for mow2
The game still has some specific annoying issues such as lagging camera. But, if your criteria is mowas2, then you will have that back with all the innovations they made for mow2, atleast for mp.
As a mowas2 fan, i did play arena and all mow2 beta. I hated it at first. But the last beta was close to what i wanted, a mowas2 ++.
I will confidently say that mow2 is overall a good successor to mow franchise.
(But i admit, the UI is meh and some effect and sounds could have been better)
Just play goh

Goh don't need anything from mow2.
