I pay $500 for 3/1 in Humacao & we have 3 split ac units. We run 1 constantly except during December to March when it’s cooler. We pay from $100 to $300 for electric & $40 for water. My husband is retired from USPS and we pay about $220 for Triple S insurance. Our copays are much lower here, only $7.50 including specialist. Our prescription cost is usually $2.00.
This has got to be fate telling me to move to Puerto Rico. I live in NJ now. Born and raised here. My kids were born and raised here too. My dad was born and raised in NYC. Only my mom was born in Puerto Rico, but came to the states at the age of 12. I feel like I lost my culture. Every time I have gone to Puerto Rico on vacation to visit family, I never wanted to come back. I hear a lot of negative things discouraging me from moving there, but then I see beautiful videos like yours and I feel like I 100% belong there. I still have young kids and I would love for them to be brought up knowing their culture. 🇵🇷❤🇵🇷❤
My parents are from Guatemala. We visit every year. Every single time I visit, I also want to stay and never return to NJ.we recently spent 3 weeks there and I’m missing it every single day. Even my dog was happier. Even though I was born and raised here, I always feel at home in Guatemala. Do it! Move to PR ❤
My husband and I will be visiting PR next I think. Thanks for your series of videos. I haven’t been to PR in 30 years or so. Can’t wait to go back. Subscribing now! 🌈🙏🏾❤️
Really good video guys. I appreciate the info and I learned something new today with the info you provided. Thank you and I look forward to other videos from you guys!
Good stuff fellas. My wife is from PR and we would like to move there eventually. I have a few years left in my career, then we hope to move back. Cant wait.
Awesome video, fellas. That numbeo site came in the clutch for me as I'm strongly considering moving outside of NYC to a more relaxing (and much more affordable) place. Pa'lante 🇵🇷!
@@PlanetoftheJays I just got the coffee today. It came in a purple box. It smells good. I love it! I got it quick especially the package coming from San Juan.
I LOVE that Supermax!!!! I always get coffee and some fritura's in the morning, they have the best hot food "all Day" plus they got the Liquor store upstairs.. "Winning" lol
I’ve been loving your videos about living in PR. I believe they do have a TJMaxx or Marshall’s there, you can find stuff for your pet, like toys, beds, wipes, shampoo.. less expensive than PetCo or PetSmart 🐶
Yes. There ir Marshalls, Tjmax... Get out of San Juan and Isla verde (Carolina) as so. Explore other areas of what we call Zona Metropolitana (Bayamón, Cataño, Levittown, Guaynabo, Trujillo Alto) and you will see a city where you find everything... We have everything... Even theatres (Plays)... Universities... Movies, anything. Restauts in Levittown. (Calked The rout of food)... Many more. In the area of Levittown or Bayamón, is cheapier and is city... Very modern and you find everything. All kind of stores, lot of malls... etc... By the way... Metropolitan area include Bayamón, Carolina, Guaynabo, Levittown, Cataño, Trujillo Alto... Best... Levittown or Bayamón and they are big cities with places to choose.
Isla Verde, Condado, Ocean Park and Viejo San Juan. They are the best places to walk, eat and have fun, also if you want more you can go to the Placita or T-Mobile District. everything can be walked….
Its the IVU that be f*****g shit up in PR. My mom used to send my brother and I to PR for the summer every year when school was out. And i still go once or twice a year, and it's gotten way crazy expensive
Really appreciate your experience about living in PR from what you guys are saying if it’s only about 1200 in San Juan that’s so much cheaper than in Brooklyn where I’m from they could actually run from 1800-2000 not even worth it so small
All of Puerto Rico has become outrageously expensive. Daily food costs are exorbitant. Average supermarkets have limited healthy affordable choices. It isn't the country my parents knew as children.
Consult your veterinarian for home made dog food. We find it's alot more affordable and healthier. Freeze packets so you only need to cook 1-2 per month.
I have 2 questions. Does your average of 300-350 for utilities include the 100 for fiber internet or is that in addition to the fiber internet? About how much did yall pay to purchase or finance your car? I know its supposedly way more expensive in PR. What are yall's monthly expenses pertaining to having a vehicle out there (car note, insurance, registration, parking, maintenance)? Thank you for sharing your experience in PR thus far. It's been a great help.
I'm thinking of moving from florida to PR. First rent then buy.... can you recommend a place for a first timer to rent. 2 bedroom in San juan so I dint need a car for 1st year
I love Econo supermarcado or Costco. Jeeps are Thirsty, while Corollas are King in PR. I love watching your content but definitely take people to the mountains and go swimming in the waterfalls this summer when the beach is too hot. The best gay beaches are in Manati - Mar Chiquita, Pozas de Mujeres and I won't share the best hidden ones but they are there.
Problem is ur making compra weekly we do 600 of foods for a month and extra rent eaay 450 350 depend its that your in a high rated place gotta go to el sur!
Alcohol and Medicial license and products of Mary Jane is cheaper and Yaucono or your Planeta de Cafe brand is the best ;). 24k is sad fact why more younger generations havent moved back yet but the savers and ex pat Boriquas are all moving back one day so 6 Million off the island would move back if the pay was fair. People make 2/3rd more money in FL on avg living off the island having the same job. Teachers make $8 and police make $13 so difficult. I seen rent in the mountains way more affordable outside the Metro. Get rid of the Jones Act and Vote
way better beaches than picua not sorry. playa sucia, playa combate, playa boqueron, flamenco, playa colora, survival beach (not swim-able but peaceful and beautiful boulders)

I made the decision officially I’ll be there in 2 years 🥹 so proud of y’all
First off, loved the whole video. Engaging and realistic. Can you make a video about the medical/ hospital systems in PR? Transportation?
I keep in my girls ear about moving here. Can't wait to make it happen with our little family. Great vid!
Thank you! Good luck
Don’t move here

This was very good video. Fun and engaging yet still realistic and down to earth. Thank you. I can't wait to visit PR 😊🇵🇷

I went to El Pescador last week. Food was amazing thanks for referring that spot.

Rather be in P.R then here in the U.S.
I just spent 2 weeks in PR. Is is not cheap. It is as expensive, and often more so, than in the states.

For sure cheaper than brooklyn
It’s not 1200 it’s so much more. We don’t need non Puerto Ricans moving to pr. It’s causing gentrification and displacement
very good video
What a beautiful Puerto Rico
Lowkey u can save even more!!

Hello.i "am from arroyo Puerto Rico.and it is very costly. I live in New Jersey.and also very costly.😮
Since you guys speak a lot of English. Do you guys try and speak Spanish or do you mainly order everything in English. Just curious.
we speak spanish around the island as much as we can
