Things haven't been so hot on the TH-cam side of things with FI since Alex and them left, but this video format is super useful and informative. While not as entertaining imo as the older videos, more of this type of content with popular platforms like the Miata, Civic, Z, Camaro, etc. is surely welcomed!
A 17x9 +46 wheel with a 255 tire fits just fine on the rears but you'll need a 5mm spacer for the fronts if you're going to run a square setup for the track
Just took delivery of my '24 GR86 this last Saturday, and this is exactly what I was looking for! Holy hell, thanks for this upload with actual try ons! Those RPF1's in 17x9 +45 on some 245/40..... That's money Now I just need to pick a set of coilovers! The newer DS series from BCr is kinda what I'm leaning towards right now (which I already found on the FI site)
Im running 18x9.5 +33 in the rear and +38 in the front, lowered 40mm all around, natural camber. I did cut away a bit of the rear aero piece, but do not have any issues with rubbing.
@@MAJORITYGAMER78 225 40/18 Everything bigger will rub without doing severe cutting on the rear fender or running a lot of camber. I have a second set of wheels now: 9.5x18 +38 all around with 245 35/18 and it doesn rub. I did very little trimming in the rear. Maybe it would work without trimmimg I can not tell. 40mm drop (little over 1.5 inch) and natural camber
@FitmentIndustries rad! No rubbing? I'm sorry if you mentioned it in the video, I know you folks are on coils with that car but roughly how much lowered are you guys?
17x9 +38 245/40 will rub even with lower control arms. You’ll need to shave the rear tab and probably certain sections in the inner wheel well. I’m running -3.8 degrees in the rear and still occasionally rub on certain dips. So if any of you are planning to run this setup expect rubbing issues.
Damn man I saw some versus vv21s 18x9.5 +38 and I was hoping I could fit some 245/35 no rub with just coils. Looks like I’m going to have to look for something else :/
Would the Kansei KNP 18x9 +35 be in the danger zone on a 24 BRZ tS that is at the factory ride height? Unless I am mistaken, the STI tweeks on the suspension are just the hitachi dampers, so I would assume the ride height does not change with the tS package. (I have one on the way, but I have not actually seen a tS in person yet.)
Late to the party, but was wondering - all these fits would be completely fine (no rubbing) on stock suspension, correct? Thinking of dropping some big bucks on a wheel/tire package and wanted to be absolutely sure my investment is protected 🙏🏻
Great video, very helpful and informative, but the text box can be placed better. This video is about and wheels and the text box just kept blocking it
this might be a dumb question but i'll ask anyways. i love the way the kansei knp setup looks as far as tire to wheel ratio (sidewall) but i love the idea of having wider tires like the 255's of the anovia kano's. so that being said does anyone know if a 18x9 +38 with a 255/40 tire will fit without a lot of camber? i really like a flush setup with little to no poke
@FitmentIndustries sweet! Knew there had to be something. What size? I'm running the stock wheels right now and the tires are Kenda 215/45r17. I'm thinking of going to a 225
I'm on stock suspensions right now and was wondering what would be some good specs for the mean time until i go lower? I'm looking for mainly not a lot of poke I was thinking 18x8.5 +38 or +45
I’m looking at some Enkei NT03 on your site , really like that gunmetal on the raven black. I’m in stock suspension and don’t plant on lowering it.. (can barely make it up the driveway as it is) There should be no rubbing on 18x9.5 40 offset right?

17x9+35 and 18x9.5+38 are most popular sizes from my personal experience, copy from 1st gen no problem

Seeing the fitment with 18x9.5+38 make me happy. I heard that may be too much for scrubbing. Did you guys drive around with that setup at all?
Yes we did

I was thinking on using 235/50R18 on my GR86 here in Perú, because I need it taller for the shitty roads here.
Any recomendation?
im thinking of doing a staggerd set up for the track. Would love a sponsor for the build though lol.
Please do one of these on the Elantra N!
Please do this with a 240/180sx
Anyone with experience with 18x9.5 +40? What tire setup are you running? Looking for no rubbing or scrubbing on bumpy roads.

18x9.5 +38 on stock suspension, what tires should I run?
I personally run 235/40 on my car with those wheel specs and I love it. Perfect amount of stretch. However, I drive a MK7 Golf
Aren't 235 tires too narrow for 9.5 inch rims?
