LFP is a lithium ion battery. LFP is not lighter than other lithium ion batteries (LCO, NMC, NCA, LMO, LTO, etc) LFP can be fully 100% charged more frequently last degradation but not fully discharged to 0v.
It is still based on LiOn principles and can be lighter per volume given different casings and such; 50% was in my research but that's potentially flawed where they took a LCO and unfairly compared it to similar volume of LFP. I'll be sure to revise this in my V2 video!

For years I have wondered why a backbone configuration is not manufactured for armor projects and even thought that it would be easier to use this configuration to better cool the batteries themselves. It's nice to see that at least someone is trying.
Such a cool project! If you're planning on allowing for subsystems to be knocked offline, you may want to look into load dump protection and reverse voltage polarity protection. Each problem can be solved with a single diode (you could get more complex if you so choose). I'm an electrical engineer working on electric vehicles and our products need to withstand some of the harshest electrical conditions on Earth. Load dumps and reverse voltages are the biggest failure modes that trigger a cascade across the network. Looking forward to seeing the next video!

Lithium iron phosphates are heavier than lithium ion cells. They are less likely to combust upon punctures, but when dealing with electrical systems, a fire can start almost anywhere. I dont know if you mispoke or misunderstood.
i love to see your work! this makes my dreams come alive, we are all grateful for your dedication to your projects and for the fact that you share your works with us!
That's actually really cool. I'm imagining a helmet/visor setup with this that gives a HUD that gives information regarding the operational capabilities of the batteries, letting you keep an eye on their total charge, how much they can put out, how much is being consumed, and perhaps if any have gone offline. That sort of stuff is important if your batteries potential output is a resource you have to juggle between peripherals.
This is one of the best "make it real" superhero projects I've seen. I mean, it's built with actually useful redundancies in mind, and you can move in it!? That's seriously incredible
nice concept, the spinal cord batteries is a similar take to my iron man suit concept. I haven't built it yet, as I do not have the equipment, money, or experience, but I have been working on a mental blueprint for years. I've figured out how to manage the weight, the closing and opening of the suit, as well as the power source and battery placement. next, I need to figure out the projectiles and flight.
This is a really cool concept, I like the metal gear look you have going on. On a more serious note I think it would be interesting to have a health monitoring/logic system for practical use. Specifically a set of automated tourniquets that trigger from outside input. That way you can prevent blood loss without having to remove a lot of kit/clothing to get to it and it could activate in situations where you couldn’t turn it on like being unconscious or otherwise preoccupied. Also having useful personal health information listed for reference in the field would be good as well
Dropping by to day im fucking enthralled by the project, i could use that battery setup for full body vr to power all my trackers and stuff! Keep up the killer work, eager as hell to see where this goes!
A while back I saw a video of a guy turning disposable vape batteries into a huge power bank he could recharge. If I remember right it was just lithium ion batteries, but I wonder if there is a kind of disposable vape that uses the lithium iron batteries. Could be a pretty cool way to recycle those if it’s possible. This was super cool! Thanks for posting this

@@tootinyuniverse 100% this one here has none of that; but I was hoping to put load dump protection on the power buses (one left and one right) off the main regulator to isolate. The reverse voltage I hadn’t considered but would be a great addition; thanks for the feedback!
great application of material science and engineering. Really cool stuff.
@@P_4BKM77 thanks dude! I’m glad you’re enjoying what I’m making so far :)
How am I JUST finding you??? I love your work. Keep it up!
I'm glad you found my channel! 🎉
@@TheFoxfiend for sure! It has all kinds of options for load balancing and powering monitoring devices, comms, and assistive mechanisms
This is one of the best "make it real" superhero projects I've seen. I mean, it's built with actually useful redundancies in mind, and you can move in it!? That's seriously incredible
@@purpleshirtkid2732 happy to hear it man!
0:15 cracked me up. Impressive design, nice work
Bro I would actually suggest making the battery pack as utility belt of batman,as the spine pack would hamper your mobility i think.
Very cool. Exciting stuff. Will be cool to see your suit progress
This concept is dope. First time seeing your channel and I've subscribed. I can't wait to see where this goes.
Great to have you along dude 🎉
nice concept, the spinal cord batteries is a similar take to my iron man suit concept. I haven't built it yet, as I do not have the equipment, money, or experience, but I have been working on a mental blueprint for years. I've figured out how to manage the weight, the closing and opening of the suit, as well as the power source and battery placement. next, I need to figure out the projectiles and flight.
You're a real renaissance man! Great stuff!
Keep up the killer work, eager as hell to see where this goes!
dude you are soooo cool. i can't wait to see this all finished!
Your going places bro , love the dedication ❤️
@@Mruniverse-d7q thanks man! Glad to have you here along with the updates
Thanks for posting this
0:15 "never gets old" gave me strong tony stark vibes
That looks amazing. Good luck!
OMG I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO CREATE SOMETHING LIKE THIS FOR OVER 12 YEARS
Great that the algorithm could bring you to my channel then! :>
Bro is gonna be batman by the time he reaches batman's age
That is the coolest thing I've seen. Good job by you.
This is the Dopest thing I've seen since the movies!
