    Question I replaced my tank but coolant is coming out of the top cap is it stripped?

    • @f.s.detailgarage7869
      @f.s.detailgarage7869  ปีที่แล้ว

      Possible or the rubber seal in the cap has gone bad or twisted it self and isn’t sealing. Get a new cap their cheap.

      @@arnietwo11 I still have a water pump. I’m guessing it’s a second pump to help water move my engine has a supercharger so it could be to help the engine stay cooler.

    in 4:03, what is that hose ? is it coming from engine or going out from the reservoir tank ?

    • @f.s.detailgarage7869
      @f.s.detailgarage7869  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It goes from the expansion tank to the head of the engine.

      @@f.s.detailgarage7869 i want to clean my coolant system. I am planning this, i am gonna take of that hose, start the engine and fill up the reservoir as it decrease. What do you think ? ( i cant take of the radiator drain plug)

    • @f.s.detailgarage7869
      @f.s.detailgarage7869  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@mustafadag9429 I would remove the lower radiator hose and drain all the coolant if you can’t remove the drain plug then put the lower radiator hose back on and fill up the system. Let the engine idle with the heater on full speed until it reaches running temperature then take a short drive. Check coolant level after driving to see if it needs to be topped off. Do not open the expansion tank while the engine is hot.

    I tried to remove the radiator drain plug but it broke. I drilled it and removed it. When I replaced it with a new drain plug, water was leaking from the litlle black hole next to the red drain plug, I assume I damaged the threads. What can I do to fix the problem?

    • @f.s.detailgarage7869
      @f.s.detailgarage7869  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure but you didn’t need to drill the broken plug out.

      @@f.s.detailgarage7869 I know I could have drained the coolant from the radiator hose but I couldn't have know that the drain plug would break.

    • @f.s.detailgarage7869
      @f.s.detailgarage7869  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mbz4652 what I’m saying is drilling was incorrect way of removing the broken plug. It has a flared end you use a pick to depress the flair and pull it out of the radiator. When you drilled it you messed up how the plug and drain work together. I’m guessing you need a new radiator.
