We discuss the history of P1999 Blue, P1999 Green and the intricacies of the raid meta on Project 1999 to include the many battles which occur between Seal Team, Kingdom, Black Lotus, Castle, Safe Space, Venerate, Force of Will and Good Guys.

As someone who wanted to dabble in p99 and this saved me so much time. I'll keep my old memories in tact and not blur them with an awful experience like was mentioned in this podcast. There will always be sweaty people to ruin it for the rest of us.. jmo.
Can't take anything ST says seriously, they are the ones that trolled the server by waking the sleeper because other guilds were getting keys
Honestly I wish I could have been there for early ST but didn't even know that p99 existed until kunark. By the time I joined Phatez was moving on. The current group is fantastic though and I have never had so much fun raiding in a game, so thanks for putting all this together initially for us to enjoy for years.

Also, as a casual P99 guy, I heard rumors about the raid drama, but it was mostly over my head. It’s cool to hear about it first hand from Seal Team’s perspective.
I enjoyed you both referemcing the history and what it entailed in regards 1st to 60 on Green, back in the day Kunrak's 1st release a Ranger (forget what server) hit 60 within 2 weeks stunning the Devs he was able to do it that fast especoally with Hybrid EXP penalty. He achieved this on brownie guards in LFAY this brought about guard EXP being nerfed across the board back then.
You're not put in an impossible situation in regards to waking the sleeper. You don't wake his ass up. Ever. Why lock yourself out of 4 more bosses with good loot, just to be an asshole? And if everyone had this CORRECT frame of mind, experience all the content and never have an issue.
These people woke the sleeper on green just to stop competition in ST, they were scared of kingdom out racing them.
Everybody go ahead and give themselves a pat on the back. You deserve it!
I know that I am an eternal scrub. But I don’t see how this guy has so much time on his hands to do tall this and WoW and TLP. I did mischief TLP and got to plane of time and by the time we got there I was so burned out. On p99 I never even got to 60 and never even think about raiding. I always have buyers remorse on the time I wasted on eq. I just don’t see how these guys do so much.
Zaide you need to get an interview with Diddlydee the God of Hate on Green.
Would love to hear an interview with Kingdom leadership or a raid GM for a different perspective.
In the very early raiding era on blue, raid mobs were on fixed timers, and initially they allowed guilds to pre-camp and claim the raid mobs. I remember on the server second Nagafen, Transcendence showed up 14 hours before the spawn to claim the camp, and the staff honored it. They even allowed us to get a second attempt at Nagafen after we wiped on our first attempt. It was at this point they implemented a staff-enforced rotation for a number of months, before finally sometime in Spring of 2010 they introduced the 96-hour windows for 7-day mobs.
Thanks for doing these pod casts. Having started in EQ but never getting into the hardcore scene in it but going into other games and doing raids and stuff it’s interesting to hear about the EQ drama. Would have been different if friends had played EQ instead of the other games they played.
This gives the public a peek behind the curtain of how a hardcore guild who runs a server operates. However they had spoilers to use. If you could find an OG original EQ hardcore guild leader that would be amazing to hear how it was done blindly.

Yeah that's a terrible loot system they started with, but it's not totally absurd given the sweaty neckbearded history of p99/green server. Good info though here, they did eventually get banned right, so guess that their plan overall failed

Phatez and Seal Team is Trash. Zaide and Faceless is Amazing. We need a Server where sleeper doesn't count as end game, drops the loot from back in the day and doesn't stop spawning after being woke amd slayed.
Yea sad that ST was scared of kingdom competition in sleepers, so scared they woke him up as soon as they had like 20 keys, if anyone was toxic on green it was seal team
Funny how Phatez doesn't mention Rampage at all. They stomped Detox's guild (Forsaken at the time) on p99 blue initial launch and Rampage got the important server firsts (AOW/Tunare/Vulak/ST) important server first mobs on p99 blue, including waking the sleeper. that's some serious copium
This is the Green episode. Any mention of blue is really just centered on Phatez background leading into Green.
p99 sounds so stupid, yea im gonna wait 2 years to get an item from a 25 year old game
