This was INCREDIBLY helpful! Specifically the language part of how to search for manufacturers. Thank you so much. I have a lot of research to do with “how is this made” lol
Insane amount of quality and value in this video. I am thankful for the simplicity of the explanations within your diagrams, and I will be sure to use this knowledge to help me with my small business. Thank you.
You always out do yourself! Amazing video!! I absolutely love ordering from you and absolutely love your thank you notes! So excited you incorporated your drawing with the video! 😊 🎉
I don't really plan on starting an art business anytime soon, but this video is so so cooooool!!! 🤩 just the way you showcase the explanations, and your editing is so great!! the lettering, drawings on the paper cut-outs, and steve gwaahhh!! everything is so cooool 😍😆
This was so detailed. Thanks so much for all of that effort. This video was awesome. If you need inspiration for another video, I would personally love to know more in depth details on how to navigate packaging/boxing/shipping and on the line of cheap vs expensive options. I'm definitely subbing
Thanks so much for the support!!💕🙏 And ooo that's a good topic. At the end of this video, th-cam.com/video/UtXJQjscMY8/w-d-xo.html I share some insight into how I usually ship things. Mostly about stickers & flat products, but perhaps it can be helpful even if not super in-depth!
The **CAPTAIN OBVIOUS** hat was brilliant!!! Made me giggle when I noticed it was a captain's hat hehehe [Also, I've been watching your vids and they have been so helpful and giving me confidence -- thank you for sharing your knowledge and your art! (*^ω^)~☆ I've been reaearching enamel mugs so this came at the right time!!! I'm into the idea of DIYing everything else but I'll keep these questions in mind if doing manufacturing research in the future! Tbh though I am tempted to search everything now though 🤔 hmmmm! Ok too much text, take care! Thank you! Also your editing in this video is so cool, all the tiny details, I can only imagine how long it took!!!]
🐋🎩⚓ I'm so happy to hear the vids have been helping!! Haha the academic research of product development can suck you down the rabbit hole😆 It can be quite fascinating. Wishing you best of luck with your future products! Thanks for the kind words!!💕🙏
One more BIG plus to working with a broker: they handle financing (you pay when the product arrives to your door) and they handle the logistics of importing/shipping/delivery. 🎉
Awesome video! Very informative and fun to watch. The mug looks funktastic. But, please do remind Capt'n Obvious (ahem Steve) to use the metal mug instead. It's easier to hold :)
This was super helpful. Thank you so much, zaccura Btw. Do you have any experience with getting traditional art printed? I think it's always much harder to do that. Getting the size of the scan right and all of that. But I am mainly a traditional artist 😅
So glad it was helpful!! And yes, the key is just to have a good scanner, and then always scan it larger than you think you need, this way you have options when printing. (Go for 600dpi)💕
How environment unfriendly when same could have been achieved locally or neighboring nations like Mexico. Dare I say a clear bias here at work. Put me off I am afraid.
@YouKayTen Hi there! To address your concerns - All the “custom mug” companies within the US or neighboring countries that offer small-batch custom orders don’t manufacture their mugs locally. They bulk buy blank mugs (usually from China) and then print the design on them - therefore having just as much, if not far more negative environmental impact, since the mugs still had to be shipped from overseas, and there’s no way to know which factory was used to make those mugs in China, or what their practices are (many use techniques that are far less sustainable). Also the mugs in this vid were shipped to me using a shipping company that is publicly committed to being as environmentally friendly as possible. The same can't be known for companies that source blank mugs. No biases here. Just research. ;)
I couldn't sign up for your newsletter, because the verification email never came. :( I just wanted to let you know in case someone else is having the same issue. I use Gmail.
Hi! Could you check your spam folder in case it landed there? It seems to go to spam for some people. If it's not there, please email me your address and I'll try re-sending the verification!
@HiddenRainbowsart Please email me! I'll try to manually re-send it. I've had several people mention this happening today, not sure why, maybe because of the influx of sign ups or just a glitch with the app. Either way, if you let me know your email, I can re-trigger the verification. Or you can try to sign up again from the same form to see if it re-triggers it.
I heard from a vendor you shouldn't share your manufacturer because smaller ones can get flooded with orders and you won't be able to use them anymore?
Yes this is a very common and valid reason! I actually have a section on my manu list page that talks a bit about why people don’t share their manus and why I decided to share. :)

The color issue can be sometimes solved by using pantone colors.
