I enjoyed your video and learned a few things. I like using pinterest to find palettes before I start my paintings. I know what will work because I can "see" the colors in action before. I'm still drawing from references, but one day, I hope from imagination. I know it's just experience and time that is required for that, which is next level for me. Loved the story you told with your piece about all the Chinese Zodiac animals working together, so I couldn't resist grabbing a sticker set and print from it. Nice job!
Ah yes! I know what you mean by seeing colors in action! I'm sure you're gonna make awesome imaginative work in the future, drawing from reference is such a good practice.

I gotta admit, my entire art and colour process is me just vomiting the rainbow on my paper as a first layer, proceeding to internally scream 'i don't know what I'm doing!!!' through the whole painting, and then somehow magically come out with a painting that doesn't look like complete garbage. don't ask me how, i genuinely don't know 🤣
