Nice! That DI matching section is interesting. I've always thought that the front end was a potential area for issues with amp sims - this seems like a great solution to ensure that you are getting as close as possible to a "pro" input signal.
This sim is probably the one I’ve been waiting for the longest lol. It sounds great, however, if there’s one issue, it’s that there’s something in the higher frequencies that isn’t quite right. Listening to that “Descent” preset for instance, the highs (especially on the strings that are ringing out) have a very “honky” sound to them. It’s not as smooth/warm as the actual tone Dino used. The entire sim is that way to a degree, it’s really close to his actual tones, but there’s still some eq work required to get the best sound possible. It sounds great, it’s a lot of fun, I guess I was expecting an almost flawless sim from Joey and Dino collaborating. It’s close though and still worth it for all of the features it provides.
Yeah I found if I added some post EQ after the amp sim it helped a lot getting it even closer. But I didn't want to add too much post processing to the plug-in. Just so you get an idea what's possible with the plugin. But gotta love the old classic FF tone!
Aw man, _Obsolete,_ there's a blast from the past. Were you doing that vocal on "descent" ? 😂 I should revisit _Demanufacture_ to see if I'm any better at playing Ray's drum parts; I use to drive myself crazy trying to keep up 🤯🤯🤣
Yeah I did the vocals on Descent and used a format shifter to shift down so I sounded low like Burton. I was listening to Demanufacture. Great album. And those drums!

I do not see the metronome when I'm following other people to learn. About this plugin does your guitar have to be plugged in for the metronome to be active cause mine's not showing.
Huge FF and Dino Cazares fan. The Edgecrusher tone is close but it sounds too polished and modern. Not heavy. Actually if one listens to the newest Fear Factory it doesn't sound anything like classic FF.

Yeah exactly. The front end going into an amp sim has a HUGE impact on the overall sound.

Shock is also a great track. Edgecrushed and Descent were the first songs of theirs I heard and will always be the first songs I lay cos of that :)

What gauge strange are you using.
10.5-48 for the 1st to 6th strings. And then a 72 on the 7th string.
CAN NOT FIND THE PRESET YOU HAVE IN THIS VIDEO EDGECRUSHER CAN ANY ONE HELP. BUT THIS SOUNDS GREAT.
