I showed this to my daughters, who are huge K-POP fans, and then they proceeded to make me watch the entire Korean Air safety video on TH-cam... I think I felt the cabin pressure drop in my living room from watching it!
My daughter would have you know that those men "prancing around" are actually a famous K-pop band called Super M. She has gone away chuckling to herself at your comment!

And they aren't nothing compared to previous gen k-pop boybands. K-Pop died when 2NE1 disbanded there have been no good new debuts since then. In fact everything's been straight trash.

Very clever how they managed to make a 2-2-2 design where you can get to the aisle from the window, thought it sacrifices some seat width. Korean Air superb service as well.

Some Korean Air's A380-800 are using KAL885/886 from Incheon int't to Guangzhou and Asiana's A380-800 are using Non-Landing Flight(Take off from Incheon int't and take some hours in the sky and back to Incheon, the same airport) due to remain the A380's pilots' license)
As soon as you said “top of the pops over” I cackled
I was going to Japan with Delta Airline but missed my flight due to unfortunate event. Since they are partner they sent me to Korean airline, beside being 5 hours late, Korean airline was amazing ! Even in economy/comfort class food was good, comfy, a bit hot in the plane to be honest but Koreans seemed to be comfortable. I was in a country where temperature was -30 Celsius when I left so 23-25 Celsius in the plane was hot ! Flight arrived late and we got stuck in Korea, they don't fly after midnight. We were offered a 5 star hotel with breakfeast, too bad the flight the next flight was at 5 AM so couldn't enjoy that food. In Korea and Japan, you can't enter the country unless you willingly give your finger prints, facial picture, height weight etc, living address, temporary living address in their country and a visa stamp on your passport. Don't overstay their tourist Visa if you ever want to go back there.

North Korea is closed to tourists right now. And he'd need to go via China or Russia in any case - there are no direct inter-Korea travel links.
Would need to fly to China to do that. You can't fly from South Korea to North Korea. NK is closed to tourists also, I believe.

The ukraine war has affected this flight path quite alot. You said your flight was about 10 hours but when i went this summer it took about 11 and a half hours as we had to go around russia and ukraine and over the black sea into china. So annoying, I was in economy too :'(

North Korea and China are closed to non residents as most.of Southeast Asia. So it could be some weird Russian airlines, Mongolia, Japan or may be the Philippine?
I had the pleasure of flying on a Korean Air A330 from Singapore to Seoul back in 2018. I can't wait to fly on one of them again in the near future!

One thing about the seat which you did not mention ... once your tray is extended for meal service ... you can't get out ! I find those seat very narrow and claustrophobic.

I’ve flown Asiana between Seoul and Saigon. The food in economy was quite good - bulgogi with rice and good service. That being said, I like Korean Air interior colours. Still, of all Asian carrier, Singapore airlines remains my number 1 followed by Cathay Pacific and then ANA and JAL tied for third

I am confused - How can you even board the aircraft when you cannot as you say enter Korea? Did they not check your documents?
You don't officially 'enter' a country until you go through customs.
Yes its confusing..I have been checked for a Thailand visa before I was allowed to board in the UK...I think if I did not have it, I would have been refused boarding...Good to have some clarity on this as to what are the rules.
If you have a connecting flight to another country, then South Korea doesn't care if you can come into the country or not.
@Winter snow Owen well this is in the USA - one of only few countries in this world where you must go through passport controls even only transiting. Honestly I don't know any other country than the USA where it is like that.

if you get this seat on an upper deck 747-8 you have side bins on the window seats so you can store more stuff and I'm sure that space when closed could be used as a work space for a small laptop

What's been your experience with turbulence? My stepfather was a government aircraft inspector. He was always very critical of commercial and private aircraft. In his opinion "there's little or no excuse for it". From my first flight I've experienced it probably on 75% of my trips. Some bad and mostly unnoticeable unless you were feeling to see if the flight was smooth. Key word smooth. In Dad's opinion they should almost always be smooth. He said there's always the possibility of a freak occurrence but in reality if the aircraft is flown correctly and maintained there should be none. He said the engineering of commercial jets is so impressive you should feel like you're floating at all times.
Korean Air have the best cabin crew!
i think even BA business class would've been a better choice for this flight but its nice to experience something different, but you never know until you go!

@Noel Phillips. A domestic flight that was be taken always takes a long way around is from London City to Humberside Airport via Amsterdam! Goes completely in the wrong direction before double backing on itself for a short 3 hr all in flight.
I'm going to guess your next flight will be a trans-Pacific ultra-long-haul from Seoul to New York.

My first reaction to when I heard what price you paid is, "why would you do that?"... for real why would you? 33 pence per mile seems extremely excessive
One problem with the seat Is that you cant get out with the tray table out. But that is a fair trade off for not having to climb over people.

Awesome video! Makes me feel better about my planned trip in September. Except I will be quarantined, which does scare me a little bit!
I have 35 years of experience of flying on Korean Air but mostly in business class in the last 20.The menu has little changed in that time with the ubiquitous Bib im Bap a staple.Also the pillow is ridiculously small and they confiscated half of the contents of my baggage whilst connecting in Seoul illegally
Other airlines done use apex suite because they’re considerably more expensive.
I know that many airlines are operating 'ghost flights' but if I was greeted by ghosts at the aircraft door, I may have to rethink my itinerary.

KE is my favorite carrier from the US to ICN and on into Asia. 40+ flights. Even economy isn’t bad. ICN is my favorite airport.
I flew into China on China Eastern Airlines in business class and it was absolutely fantastic then I have flown Hainan from Beijing to Dublin in economy and it was absolutely horrendous, I think any flight in business class is going to be beautiful, you should always show both sides

Was in Seoul in 2017 and twice in 2018. Made the mistake of going there in Jan 2018, BA left my luggage behind in London, and the temperature was minus 11 when I arrived in Seoul.

Flew on the Korean Air A330 to Maldives and Colombo a while back. Service was okay and they were nice enough to serve a business class meal in Economy Class :)

BA only provide a proper duvet on first class and blanket on business class. The one on first class is like a proper winter duvet.
