I've flown on KE a whole bunch of times over the past year, and think they truly deserve their 5-star rating on Skytrax (I know, I know.....). Nicky's experience in economy is exactly what I experience every time I fly them in economy. Yet to try their business and first class, but I imagine it's just as portrayed in this video, too. Kudos to KE!

Something that wasn't mentioned about the buisness class of Korean Air- despite the 2-2-2 configuration, since its staggered, the window seats still have direct aisle access, its a very nice unique feature
Yeah, it is the very expensive Apex Suites, that only few airlines like JAL or Oman Air have installed in business class, because these seats are super expensive and were originally intended to be First Class seats. Apparently Korean Air didn’t have any money left after that investment and couldn’t afford electric window shades in First Class cabin, which I have never seen before apart from Lufthansa’s A340-600.😂😂😂😂
Sadly, they still have the older "Cosmo Sleeper" business class cabin in use on their less popular routes, like Zurich to Incheon. It's nowhere near as nice as the Apex Suite shown in this video.
Liam has paid his dues in Economy plenty of times so nice to see him in First. in future videos is it possible to show what the western menu is? All of you had the Korean option. Maybe next time have one of you try the western option.

Flew KAL LAX-ICN in biz class in 2016 on 747-8 outbound and A380 inbound. Amazing flights - service was impeccable, food was amazing and seats were great. Nice to see KAL still has high standards 8 years later.
I was waiting to see the Call bell challenge in this video. Knowing KAL my first thought was "I bet the flight attendants will be there even before pushing the call button" 😅
One interesting thing about Korean Air is that they serve bibimbap for all classes. I flew economy with them and I felt very luxurious to eat the same meal with the first class passengers😅

I flew Korean in economy from Atlanta to Seoul about ten years ago. I agree- amazing food and attention to detail even in economy. They’re my favorite airline.
Flown KE a lot - am a status holder with them. The crews are always INSANELY fast. This is not a faked call bell challenge. I've been shocked, even in economy, multiple times. My only gripe with them is no Wi-Fi. Flying JFK-ICN a lot, it's helpful to have something to pass the 13-15 hr duration. Unfortunately their A380 has a pretty poor biz product. Old and exposed 2-2-2 but the 747, 777, 787 are all great with these Apex Suites.
Nicky living the Pain Saga with 16hrs in Economy. I vowed never to fly more than 9 hours in economy after wife and I did ORD > AUH > SEZ and back back in 2021. We were extremely fortunate in that we had entire rows to ourselves and could literally lay across the middle aisle in each row to sleep, but it was still not nearly as nice as even a JAL PE seat given the depth of the seating area.

There are various myths...the Great Wall of China is visible from the moon, Nicky is always in business/first class. First class overall looked a bit disappointing (lounge not amazing and seat just looked a slightly bigger version of Business). Business looked good and some good details from Lauren. 16 hours in Economy is never fun. Good video but really needed to be longer - second service wasn't shown.
Is this video actually recorded in July 18, 2024? Did they fly this flight on July? That's funny it might be old because I checked flight radar that the flight was a A380 not a 747. Plus they tookoff in day time which is KE82 from JFK and the 747 flies on KE86 at dark 1AM EST.
I think until the latest business class suites became the standard, the Apex suites were the best solution. Unfortunately back then, most airlines went with the non staggered layout that offers less privacy and no direct aisle access for window seats.

I absolutely love flying upper deck on the 747. Nothing better than that to me when flying. That said even economy looks great on here. This blows Lufthansa out of the water compared to their 747.

You’ve obviously not watched many of their previous videos. Nicky has flown Economy and in one case went hungry because there was no included food service.

I just find it funny and odd how that myth is perpetuated just because a majority of comments say so..
It would have been so much nicer if you had departed from Incheon. I was fortunate enough to fly in first class with Korean Air. Their first class lounge has the best meal, and even the Korean inflight meal is so much nicer! It would have made a really nice video.
Yes my home country national airline. I have over 100k miles flown on Korean air. The apex suites for business class are very nice. I love those seats. I flew on them once on my way back from Korea to LAX on a 777 during the tail end of COVID
For someone visiting for the first time, what are some things you would recommend that person do when they come to South Korea? Typically around Seoul/Busan. Anything you'd recommend as a native to South Korea? I'm planning on going next year.
@@grownsimba8120 I wouldn't call my self a native because I haven't officially lived there in 20 years when I was in middle school. Ive lived in the US for the last 20 years and 25 years overall. I can only tell you about Seoul because that's my hometown. Busan I've only been there once or twice.

You guys should've tried freshly baked cookies for prestige and first class. Since JFK is not the hub airport, lounge could not meet your expectations. If you go to incheon airport lounge, it is way better.
