    Fun fun fun! I looooved ripping around on one of these in the early 80s as a kid. There's no question that that course would have been a hoot to rip around. This vid took me back 40 years. Big thumbs up!!

    Those bikes look like lots of fun. Better for the trail than the mud. Great video. Just curious, who does the editing? Neat little editing tools don't go unnoticed by me.

    Great fun!! Nice precursor bike to the Yamaha TW200!! A bigger version of a fun but still smallish trail bike! Those big tires definitely help out in most muddy situations! In my area and beyond the Trail 200 has been an almost go to irrigation bike! It would be great fun riding these trail 70s again like we did in my uncle’s orchard years & years ago. I only ever glanced off of 1 tree!! 😂😂.

    This has been a great series. I would love to see a more comprehensive rebuild of the trail 70 motor. Kind of like what Paul Brodie does with his Aermacchi Motorcycles. The Trail 70 motor covers a lot of different models of Honda bikes and it might interest a lot of folks. Just a thought.

    I have had a lot of big and expensive bikes, but I gotta admit - those things look like a blast.

    The old guy knows his stuff and loves that bike; you could tell he would have talked about bolts for another 20mins.

    I'll just say, when we got those bikes brand new we didn't do any valve adjustments after a break in period, we put gas in them and rode them hard

    Love seeing here old bikes, carried me back to when I was a boy in the 70's. My buddy had a blue one just like that I had a Honda XR75.

    If you are spending more time off the bike than on, the recipe is off. And from my experience, those bikes are not ideal for that terrain at all. 125 trial with the big wheels would have been ok, but the Knobby tires are crucial to having your butt on the seat. If you have to walk/push/pull the bike along everywhere, where is the fun in that?

      perfect's the enemy of great and good enough fun.... the big advantage of bikes is the lack of weight and mores so the lighter ones nothing that can stop you if you can carry it a lil bit

    CT70 was never that good a bike. The SL70 was the bike to have. Way way better than the CT.

    • @tommybarrett1320
      @tommybarrett1320 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I had a 1972 CT70 and I agree. As I recall the CT70 was $320 and the SL70 was $340 in 1972. I wanted a dirt bike so bad and my Dad was frugal. He said how about this one(the CT70) that was only $320 and I said sure I wanted a bike so bad. Although I loved my CT70, it was a mistake. My best friend had a SL70. His bike looked like a real motorcyle and his bike was faster. Probably due to the true 4 speed transmission since I think the motors were the same.

      I had a CT 70 and I loved it but of course a SL 70 is a better off road bike. A XR 75 is even better ! That being said I never complained about having a CT. I considered myself lucky to have it ! Great memories

    • @grabir01
      @grabir01 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@benjaminminty9602 Better off road? You are implying the CT was better on road. lol. XR75 was produced later and was not street legal.
