    when checking the oil i've read not to thread the dip back in. just rest it on the start of the threads and check from there. you could have added more oil here but they also say to keep it under the top X so you're in the sweet spot anyways.

    According the manual you're not supposed to screw the dipstick in for checking the oil level.

    I understood that the air filter holder should face the carb. This gives it structure and prevents the foam getting sucked into the carb.

      True. Note: On later model CT70's the filter "holder" is an integral part of the filter housing and is not removeable. With this design the locater tube is simply slid into the new filter and this pair is reinserted back into the filter housing before tightening the bolt which holds the housing caps in place. Use the acorn nut supplied by Honda on the exhaust side of the canister as this nut also acts as a limiter for overtightening the bolt. Good luck!

    Is there an oil filter you need to change?

    • @yorkymotogarage561
      @yorkymotogarage561  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is no oil filter . There is however an oil screen inside the clutch cover that ca be serviced but will require taking clutch cover off to clean .

      There is no gear oil on a ct70 . Engine oil lubricates the engine . And that’s all.
