I will always be adamant the pre sequel has the best designed vault hunter's. Its the only game in a CO-OP based series were all the characters were designed with co-op in mind. The rest of the games felt like co-op was an after thought.
@salamanderjoe personally I think all it really lacked was a good end game if it got the same dlc treatment 2 had it would've held up so much better. And claps dlc is still my favourite in the franchise.
Moze is by far the most powerful character in BL3 especially with the addition of her fourth skill tree. Add the bear trooper class mod to that and you can use iron bear for three minutes at a time and get the action skill back in ten seconds. I melt everything and everyone with her on mayhem 10 and 11
That's because they didn't focus around a actual ult for the character a tree melee Amara would have been BA because she would have activated her ult like krieg at health gate her purple skill could have been both a grasp and punching bag grabbing enemies hit pulling them back to you and launching them at enemies while reactivating the skill you could alter through your elements hell it could have had it own weapon wheel basically add in a lil ramatra where she can't drop out of ult as long as she has a enemy with 3m & the heat seeker orb skill could have been how she uses grenades in her ult taking the quality of the grenade but make it AS damage. But because they were trying to build out all her perks they basically stripped her from her true self. L
@salamanderjoe you think that because it was your first. Amara can summon a giant beach ball and slam it into people's faces. Krieg is also the hardest vault hunter so you need more hours on him
Kreig is objectively S. Sorry man your ranking is skill issue. When you start just instinctively hitting ultimate at health gate he is insane. I’m surprised a melee zero player would struggle with him. Loved the video though.
I really like Roland in BL1, he’s probably my favourite solo character as the turret really helps with healing and ammo drops as well as chip damage, yeah it’s not as broken as Axton’s turret damage wise but the support is great And Axton is great if you build him for straight up combat as he can become a damaging tank, it just means his turret will suck
Despite this video I actually like playing as pretty much every character in the series lol, Roland is a blast and supporting your team with Scorpio is awesome.
@salamanderjoe if u see this, please comment. I just want u to know Kreg should be higher because he has 3 builds that can do uvhm (I'm not sure about OP levels when it comes to explosive build). The 3 builds are melee, fire, and explosive. The skill where u can take friendly damage is only good solo. Melee and explosive builds can clear a room with 1 kill when spec right. The fire build has to do with the firehawk shield, an resistance relic, the chain lightning gerenade, and moxxi weapons (and get the skill that allows u set urself on fire with any element so u aren't just stuck with only using fire element). FYI the fire build is very flashy/blinding, so people with epilepsy, STAY AWAY FROM THIS. With the melee build, use the rough rider shield, an resistance relic, and bladed weapons (preferably slag bladed weapons or just use the slagga smg or the magic missile to slag) but stay away from moxxi weapons because u want to get low enough health to go in badass form. Explosive build any explosive item (that is good) can do.
@@salamanderjoe I also wanted to say I'll would have put Salvador higher because I like feeling powerful and borderlands is known for the loot. Bosses/raid bosses have dedicated drops (most likely for the top tier loot) and I'll prefer to kill fast then take a couple of minutes to kill. I understand why u put Salvador where u placed him because u want to feel a challenge. That's why krieg is the best for that because he is made as an risk/reward character. For example, build in fire tree u can die by ur self ignite. Build in the melee tree, u can die by hitting urself or because u don't activate ur action skill at low health.
Amara could have used a true melee build similar to krieg how they came up with her 2 melee builds annoyed me because half her melee tree perks could have just been wrap up in the activation of the ult alone along with the modifier then we could of had a more modernized brick with a hint of asura wrath leaping around throwing hands. Her purple skill could have been a super grasp that enemies hit would also get trap in it while still being a punching bag. But she feels so bare bones to what she could have been because they wanted to break down all that for her perks. And some of the other skill trees would have been great additions to that rage ult. I really feel Amara got ruined by the fact we didn't have a dedicated ult to work around.
I Always did really like TPS for all but lack of bosses.. Always thought it was in some ways better than the others.. Claptrap was my favourite. Its nice to see people went back and re assessed it.
yep same agree 100% with gaige, she only have the anarchy build and the others skill tree are just there to support the anarchy, deathcrap i love him and seeing him killing stuff but in UHVM and OP lvs its just became almost useless. i think what she really need is a new kill skill and something that raise her shock/deathtrap dmg
I’ve done permadeath for BL1, 2 and TPS. Bl1 took 3 tries, Bl2 took 6 tries, and TPS took 26 tries. In TPS, I had plenty of experience with my favorite characters, Athena and Wilhelm, beating the game and DLC with each. But after a dozen or so attempts at permadeath with each, I needed to try a new character. Aurelia. So glad I did. Aurelia felt immediately strong. Her Cold Tree had it all: damage, defense and crowd control. Her skill is even better than an aimbot like Nisha, because the shard is out there attacking enemies behind cover or that you can’t see. I would be in a constant competition with it to score the kill. It’s incredibly strong. Don’t worry about a “build”, per se; her cold tree synergizes like a dream. It took only 3 attempts with her to beat the game deathless, with attempt 1 being the first time I had ever tried playing her. She’s a beast.

Zane has infinite damage potential and it’s merely impossible to go down while playing him… with Boresplosion build, Zane can clear maps with just one press of the trigger and Zane can one shot any boss faster than Moze and Amara or Salvador…. just search it up and you’ll be amazed. Check me out when you can on Taking Out the Hag of Fervor with 1 shot... I doubt Moze can do that.
Nice list man. You’ve got the right idea, not just strength but also how much you enjoy the character and how they play. I’m the same I don’t care who’s better it’s more who I enjoy playing as. I really dislike TPS and think it’s the worst in the series (subjective opinion) but the vault hunters are really interesting and unique. My list overall is quite similar honestly. Krieg and Moze are higher for me but other than that pretty much the same.
Yeah, I mean I could have made a more objective power ranking but... it's not hard to find one of those around lol. It's a little unfortunate TPS was undercooked, because the vault hunter design was so good.
We really have a lot of common about these vault hunters, I like Aurelia the most in TPS because Cyro+sniper is perfect combo even playing solo in UVH you can use only two skill trees to slaughter anything that stand still as ice cube but for BL3 I love Moze since day one, I love Iron bear the damage is the real deal that no gun in any game can compare and it's the first time that gunless character have no weakness I don't care that you are the far away boss I don't care that you are flying ememies Iron bear railgun will annihilate all of you
I have to disagree with you on some of the list. Axton for example yeah the turret damage falls off but it really helps with crowd control and distracting the enemy’s. But yeah respect to you dude.
It's a for fun list lol, I would most likely move people around (Salvador most obviously) if it was power alone, you're right though, even baseline axton turret has a little sauce
I like that you ranked them based on how well designed they are rather than how powerful they are. Fl4k, Zer0, and Doppelgänger are definitely the most unique and versatile characters I’ve played but I also think Krieg is fantastic for what Gearbox was going for.

Roland still good if you grenade jump on his bar of his turret because that's what i used on roland but roland still can be good with his skills the ammo regen turret skill in grenade Regen
Dude - Lilith, Salvador, Athena and Moze are the best in their games technically, so they all are S+ tier if you'd rate them objectively.And sadly Brick, Gaige, Aurelia, Amara are the loosers , also technically and objectively. My personal favourites are Lilith, Krieg, Jack/Timothy and Moze.

Yeah she was pretty close to being really cool, especially with the introduction of the facepuncher and the blade fury, but not quite there.
