There are vehicles with 24-inch wheels that will ride smoother than this Lexus GX because those manufacturers invested in a suspension system that matches the price tag of the vehicle. As a European looking at both LC and the GX your videos give great insights. GX 550 is not available in Europe, just the 2.8 l and I force max in 2025.
    Ifroce max kills interior cargo space so the GX measures closely to the LC commercial we are due to have as the 4Runner is also not available in Europe, so a 2.8l non iforce max is my weapon of choice.

No rock crowler or desert runner. But it’s great at getting you to and from the mid level trails. Only a couple complaints so far.
    1. Not enough storage space. Small glove box and console box. No sunglasses holder.

      @MercOne 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@G-Rated What's even more "embarrassing" is that you seem to not understand the difference between the way something is vs what it should be and you're coming at me like I made the rules. Cadillac has a garbage reputation because of the junk they built for over 40 years. That is what it is, it doesn't matter to a lot people what a survey says. Their own experiences no matter how long ago is what they cling to. Who said that the reason was going to be logical? You also seem to be confused in thinking that people shop solely based on reliability. They don't. Otherwise European car makers would have folded years ago and the Japanese would have owned the luxury car market. They don't. You aren't bright enough to understand that perception is reality and that it takes years and years for that to change? Buick is probably the most reliable GM brand and their products are utter nothings outside of that reliability. Underpowered, cheap interiors and not a single vehicle that even approaches the head of it's class. You think people are supposed to buy them solely because they are reliable? That is not how it works and in the luxury car market reputation and history is everything. Even if the brand doesn't live up to their past, like Mercedes or BMW. It took Cadillac many years to destroy the "Standard of the Word" an it will take them even longer to get it back and it doesn't help that still make mediocre products like the XT vehicles. You're really out of it man if this has to be explained to you. You actually think that Toyota's reputation will be destroyed in a few short years? It takes many years for this to happen. This decline you're talking about doesn't even register for most of their buyers.

They don't. You aren't advanced enough to understand that perception is reality and that it takes years and years for that to change? Clearly the new LX and now GX don't have the interior quality of the LC and LS. The interior looks like a Toyota and the gauge cluster in particular looks pathetic.

    The interior of the new GX 550 is underwhelming, resembling more a Toyota than a luxury vehicle. Additionally, the rear of the GX is not as nearly practical as the Land Rover Defender or Ineos Granadier. which are designed to handle dogs and dirty objects and off-roading activities much better that the Lexus interior.

      The V6TT is proven tech, it will be fine, but I was concerned about the turbo placement. Looks are subjective, but it's infinitely better than the old bubble SUV designed for retirement communities. However, it's weird that my wife felt the GMC Denali trims were more luxurious than the Lexus GX OT we test drove. Also, the technology is just so much better, built in Google maps in my dashboard with HUD? Infinitely more useful than any other dash. Also, buttons... Lots of buttons, touch screens require you to take your eyes off the road. I don't like the cost savings they are doing and it most definitely isn't saving us any money. I can get big money off MSRP with other brands that while it may have a squeak or two more, a few more electrical gremlins because it doesn't have Lexus's super stringent line checks, will basically make it as long as I need it to (8 years - under 100k miles) and get better MPG with regular fuel. For $75k OTD, I feel like the GX550 is generally a waste of money for what you get.

    There’s nothing cheap feeling about this vehicle. This is classic Lexus style luxury where they have great materials, if not class leading but superior build quality then the rest of the segment, while undercutting similarly segmented vehicles from Europe.

      Lexus interior quality has been dropping for years. This thing is nothing more than a Toyota in a dress. It undercuts the European because it doesn't offer the same level of tech, material quality, or refinement.
