"Dear Harstem, I played a 40 minute ladder game versus this Protoss player going Mass Tempests, Carriers and Storm. The Golden armada is really broken in this game. I got to my late game units using corruptors, broodlords, infestors and even lurkers. This Protoss was invincible and his mothership was even difficult to kill. The golden air armada is really broken or do I suck?"

as a zerg, I can tell you that I have never winned vs the golden armada, so in my humild opinion, IS PRETTY OP
Vipers my dude. See how in game 1 the mothership got abducted, and a few carriers etc. parasitic bomb on tight clumped stuff and abduct the strong units
@@fuzznut25 yeah I saw no Parasitic bombs against the armada, there were some prime times it would have worked a treat, was expecting it from Serral tbh.
@@mh1593 That was because Harstem was not allowing him to get enough energy on the vipers. He was on top of his feedbacks and zoning well with storms. He simply outplayed Serral.

While having never done so myself, it looks like that’s a common feeling people experience when playing Serral.
It is the feeling i get as soon as i hit "play" on ladder.
Just good lategame zerg, not Serral. In the current meta there is no strategy to beat corruptors and vipers with a few lurkers, apart from "I hope he fails with corruptors and vipers".
@@OsefKincaid to be fair. how he got rid multiple times of vipers energy with the templars was very effective at stopping the unit from working, the mothership allowed the templars to get close enough without getting killed. Harstem skill really shown off in this game

I played vs Serral, he is over 2k above me, honestly it just felt like playing vs a cheater (maphack, worker production, auto ov etc) but I know it's just me sucking lmao

The nightmares of high MMR, just imagine waking up, booting up SC2 for a chill game and the first name that pops up is Serral.

Wow, what an epic game against Serral. I feel like it was a huge missed opportunity for him though not to attack Harstem after winning that huge fight. Harstem was basically done and had nothing, but was somehow allowed to re-max. Really weird decision-making from Serral there. Anyway, such a great game. Just incredible to watch the high skill-level of these players.
Serral also had very low supply, if he attacked then, he would have hydras and corruptors against a wall of photon cannons, with 14k bank for Harstem. That's just my opinion though, might be wrong :)
Since Harstem wiped most of Serrals bases including tech, I suspect Serral was not ready to remax properly as he was rebuilding his hive and tech buildings in the top left. He might even have lacked larva as he threw in a lot of relatively low tier units during that big fight.
Serral was ready to move in, but realized at the last moment Harstem was on his road to rank one account and could probably never finish the series without a help.
Maybe Serral was hesitant to attack off creep without having the capacity to instantly remax, it may have felt risky.
The game vs serral was so hype. It was so tense the entire time. So many back and forth skirmish's. The point where you guys were base trading, then you lost your army. Holy crap. Such a good game.
I'm proud of you captain! Winning against Serral is quite a feat! i couldn't even believe you would win the entire game if I'm honest. I am truly happy for you!

On serious note, Serral really asserts helpless despair into opponent. I mean, I felt just watching, like it was throwing water balloons against wall for most of that game. It seem at times, that Harstem shared that sinking heart feeling despite his cool head, knowledge and prowess.
What a first game, wow man. Just want to say you really do a great job of empathizing with your fans unconsciously. Everyone can relate to how you sigh at your mistakes or when you feel pissed over a hasty decision. You're truly great to watch.

As someone that loves yoinking units into my hydra-lurker boys, seeing someone play against it seems so stressful!

Why when you have detection and there's changelings why do they not get auto attacked? I'm sure the at one time did and they'd also no longer look like a zelot with detection around .

Stayed for the second game - wow, that terran player really showed it's possible to survive and thrive even with opponents having collousus & disrupters in their composition. phenomenal game 1, thanks for the great content. I want to see the stats on those tempests! feels like you were just picking off lurkers/hydras/spores one at a time for 10 minutes - never fatal damage, but unbelievable value and probably a good chunk of the 8k difference you had at the end

We really need to start talking about the buffs that Zerg needs to be anywhere as competitive as the other 2 races.
This was a epic video. Even that Terran guy who went marine marauder with mine drops was pretty awesome.
Zergs are competitive, the most dominant player in starcraft plays zerg and also a lot of blizcon winner(rogue for example), also reynor that seems to be on the good way becouse his games in the last couple of months were really sick, protoss are actually out of the competitive(in big tournaments i haven't seen a toss winner in like 2 years), zergs on the other and are at the top of big tournaments ( dark rogue,serral)

I think one of the troubles of being serral is people just go WAY more tryhard when they see him, doing their absolute best (or trying to) as he’s the number 1 and beating him/impressing him is a thing you can brag about
But that's how you improve as a player. If you want to be the best, then playing opponents at their best gives Serral a bigger challenge and therefore requires more skill to win. In addition that also means whenever a player in tournament plays less than their very best he can easily crush them
Collamus It is still one of the things that as the reigning king,/s they have to tackle. If you start getting good, then people are gonna try to learn how to beat you. So you need to be way better to be no1, than to be say no 10. Not saying no10 is easy, just that no1 is like way way harder to achieve
