The "Art of War" rant reminded me of an Artosis clip. He basically said he bought a book to help him understand how protosses play, and pointed at his desk cam (which has a cup and the art of war below it). "Oops, let me move this coaster book off the way" and as he does, you can see another book called "Apes can play" below it, and he starts going over the book whilst chat goes wild. I do believe it helped him win more TvP's than the Art of War ever will.
Harstem, I'm the CEO of a Fortune 500 company, and I quit school when I was 9, so the Art of War is the only book I've ever read. According to my opinion, the Art of War is applicable to business and you, a professional gamer, don't understand the inner workings of my brilliant mind.
That last game was a heartbreaker, I think it was a only a pyrric victory for Clem because he was fuming by the end. You're getting so much better Harstem, you played so well, the first two games you lost weren't bad by any means, the games you won were fantastic and that last game was yours until you made a crucial mistake against one of the best players on earth. All that being said you're doing amazing, I was actually afraid to watch this video because I thought you'd get creamed and I thought that would be bad for your SC confidence but the title got me interested and you did awesome
Well, let's not forget that we are talking about peak SC anyway. Harstem is really, really good... no matter if he wins or loses. They are playing at a level that less than 1% of all players reach. I mean, even if you get trucked 3 - 0 by Clem you still might be one of the best players in the world.
Harstem is the kind of guy who goes up to mcgregor's house after 5 days of training and watching mcgregor's vids, yells at him to come out and fight, and then when mcgregor comes out to fight him, kick him in the balls and say "well I didn't expect mcgregor to challenge me to a fight"
I feel like this series could not have been closer! Absolutely incredible stuff to watch! I always admire how you are able to constantly grow, learn, adapt. Thanks for taking us along for the journey

Its like playing half-life 1 today and saying I don't see what's the fuzz.. It's a classic, and as most of them, you need to put them in context of when they were made. In case of Art of War, its 2500 years ago. Majority of people couldn't read and write, probably didn't even know what a spy is.

48:40 disruptor saves the day with a juicy shot. Every terran felt that and cursed protoss for having yet another form of splash damage. Clem should send that play into "is it imba".
they should honestly halve the aoe diameter or something like that, deleting 20 supply in one shot is just plain stupid, and you need like a stupid amount of apm to counter a 4 click move and you need good reaction time

Although mine drops only occur in mineral lines whereas disruptors cause main army engagements imbalances. And agreed emps' damage should be halved, only on shields, and they should be kept as is for energy neutralization
Protoss Splash damage types: 4. Terran: 6 😂(not including nukes). Fun fact; Zerg have 5, 6 if you count Mutas which although not technically splash does affect multiple targets.
If people come to you with something not normal, just play hard counter ----but Captain stickied with his plans and put up a show for us. What a man. Non-youtube-content-creator athletes are imba.

After the experiance that I got from the lecture, my life changed, and currently I'm byuing 27 companies, to make a total of 469 - as You can see, I'm little delayed in my schedule. To avoid mistakes that I made in my first 9 years of life, I'm reading "The Art of War" loud to my 1-year son. Did I say "readding"? Nah, it was a lie. I'm actualy speaking entire thing from memory, as every civilized person do.
interesting strat: When against terran and they build sensor towers, take like 20 probes and get in range then go in with main army from another angle.
I always wonder why I never see players mess with vision this way. Also when harassing with pheonix or mutas or whatever, why not split a couple off and skirt their vision radius at one base, while the rest of the force swings around to the other?
@@catbert7 APM required. You dont want to split your micro into 2 groups and end up losing both, or losing some of them and float 1k minerals at home. Or worse - losing both AND still floating 1k minerals In the case of taking 20 probes to mess with sensor tower - 20 probes not mining is GIGANTIC economy loss or in case you build 20 spare probes outside of your mining probes to do it, then that's -20 supply from your actual army, which also is gigantic, not mentioning 1k minerals
as Harstem says "Phoenixes are not great at this stage of the game, the phoenixes destroyed an entire line of SVCs " I just feel phoenix are massively underrated. They are quick and perfect to destroy workers, to fight Vikins and protect colossus, intercept reinforcements. I much prefer an army with phoenixes than without them.

Fair enough, but competition is generally applicable to most forms of competition. It's why people who are very driven to succeed usually succeed in many arenas. The experience is transferable. Gaming, sports, business, war. We all know you know that and you're just trolling.

Not a starcraft 2 knowledged person but I don't tend see Protoss players get more than 1 forge when Terran and Zerg tend to build 2 of their own infantry research building if I'm correct. Why is that?

There's a great chapter in the art of war (that's super underrated) which is all about how to get the juiciest disruptor hits
