    You hit the nail on the head when you talked about doing what you loved doing vs doing something you don't mind or like doing. There are so many people on this planet that have a business but offer mediocre services or products and it's just because they either lost their passion for it or it was just not the right fit for them. Great work with growing a thriving business!!

    Wow brother! Great job! I also have a construction company and build custom wood products and epoxy products on the side. Very inspirational as I am working on passion building full time. Thank you for the insight! Keep them coming!!!

      I’m American, met my wife in Atlanta back in 2002. She was from South Africa and born in Pretoria as well!
      She spoke 5 languages and was an amazing person! Cancer sucks and we lost her in 2016.
      I’ve been to South Africa twice and I love the country! My 2nd trip there was to spread my wife’s ashes at the Cape of Good Hope’s famous Light House.
      Anyways thanks for the content, I subscribed to your channel. Look me up if you’re ever in Texas!

    I'm on the way to start this business 💪, but on the start I will only do mdf coffee tables and pour epoxy resin on the top, because don't have any workshop and not many tools to work with wood, any tips for the prices? Didn't see epoxy table with mdf 😔

    • @diywithgreg
      @diywithgreg  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah you talking about to epoxy the top of the mdf, could work. You should definitely try it and see the outcome.

    I love watching your videos. I think your company name fits perfectly. Just curious how do you like festool products? I've never heard of them until I started watching your channel and found they are expensive but look worth buying.

    • @diywithgreg
      @diywithgreg  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Festool is the Rolls Royce of tools, the leaders in tool technology by far.
      Theres a reason why top woodworkers use Festool.

      Also was gonna tell you that there's a company here in the US that makes a slab flattening router jig if you're interested in flattening your own slabs and it's adjustable.

    Hi Greg. Question for you. I noticed you were applying a thin coat of epoxy over the wood while there were still CNC machining marks. What is the reasoning behind this? Why not sand first then apply the thin coat to fill all the voids and cracks? Just curious. I also market only to the high-end buyer and have done pretty well. Not $500k/yr yet but, close to 1/2 that and I'm work by myself. Hoping for a big 2023.

    • @diywithgreg
      @diywithgreg  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What we found is that we save the whole process of sanding the cnc lines out, then to apply a thin layer of epoxy just to sand it off again. Both methods work, but like i said the method that we use is working for us. Hope this helps.
      Thanks for the support

    Why are you doing this if you are making enough money selling furniture? Why bother going to the trouble of producing a TH-cam show and master class?

      What if i die one day and leave all my knowledge behind without sharing it?

    • @WoodlandRevivals
      @WoodlandRevivals ปีที่แล้ว

      It's called "Knowledge Transfer". Greg has a wealth of knowledge that he would like to share with other people that are getting into this type of work. And to market his brand.
      And if I'm being honest, I stumbled across his videos back in the Fall of 2021 (Fall season in the States) and it was because of his original videos and knowledge actually gave me the springboard to start my own little side hustle that I'm currently turning into a business based off of what I've learned from him. Otherwise, if I don't randomly find his page, do I even get into this stuff?
      That's why he does videos and offers a Master Class.
