I am so glad I found this channel. Seeing Photographers go out and setup the scene, develop a story, and then take and share the final shot with us.. It really is one of the most calming forms of entertainment on TH-cam IMO. it really shows your passion and love for the art

10 years ago I got into photography because I wanted to take pictures of the beautiful landscapes that my family used to visit throughout my childhood. I've since gotten away from that and have been shooting a lot of concerts/events and portraits. Your channel has single-handedly inspired me to get back out into nature and get in touch with what inspired me to pick up a camera in the first place. Thank you for your awesome content, and I look forward to seeing more in the future!

I found that the compositions changed throughout the day with the colors changing. I spent several days there with an all night astrophotography. You were lucky, in that each day we had at least 20 people to shoot around. You are right though going back several time you see things different.

I will use these phrases in my next photography book on Antarctica. Well said! “It is these moments and many others that I treasure so much. Exploring places unknown and stepping outside of my comfort zone. Photography is so much more than simply taking images; it’s about the people we meet, the places we see and the experiences we have”

Hi Thomas. This is very good advice and has come at the right time for me. I was disappointed with my photos from yesterday morning, even though i was up and on location before sunrise and there was a good layer of frost. It was my first time at this spot and so, inspired by your advice, I will return another time knowing what the light will do and hopefully get the image.

I must have been in Namibia at about the same time as you were and I have greatly enjoyed seeing the landscapes, animals and dunes again through your lenses. I was there with a group, not a photography one alas, and there was never really time to take all the pictures I wanted. But it was great anyway. The funny thing is that I often thought: Thomas Heaton should go to Namibia, the landscapes are phenomenal! He would so much enjoy them. And so you were. What a surprise when I got home, and searched youtube for your latest releases to find them be about Namibia! Thanks for sharing your beautiful pictures and showing the making of.
