Good test as always. In defense of the hybrid car, fuel economy dips a bit in the colder season - I experience that on my '22 Camry hybrid. Heating the cabin just doesn't come for free it seems. May I ask for other Toyota hybrid drivers' opinion on this? Thanks in advance. (I prefer driving the car neither using the heater nor the AC. If I use either, MPG does drops a bit).
I try not using any gas in the car - at , by just letting it sit in the drive way -I get better mileage., also I smashed out the windows and rip out the radio to save weight- I “ being stupid “ Just prefer it that way ..
Nothing more than a cheap gimmick to be putting a nightshade trim, which implies superior performance, on the base engine, the Atkinson 4 with a CVT. It cheapens the trim. $51K to have to listen to that all day. Even worse, the trim isn’t even available with the hybrid max. Lexus at least thought it out better, putting their nightshade versions, which they call Black Line, on the top performance models, like The RX with the 500h.
I have a 2023 Crown. Right now I get about 38.3 MPG and I'm totally good with it. This Nightshade edition looks awesome!
It does look good, just wish I could get it with the Hybrid MAX!
Hybrid cars are best suited for the modern age.
Toyota's hybrid system is the best.
How's the noise on the highway? In terms of tire noise and overall cabin quiteness.
It was really good, I'd say Lexus level sound quality. I was impressed.
That design is insanely good. Thought it’s a Cadilac

Yes, winter months effect ICE, Hybrids, and EVs. In this case, you have using the heat plus additives in the gas that can cause a dip in MPGs also.

at least it got close to the claimed highway mpgs the tiny towns dont count as real city driving like the stop and go in tokyo, LA or even houston.
No we don't have much stop and go traffic which is why I drive loops through the town to hit more stop signs and stop lights
Thats a freaking sexy car.
Scandalous

I agree with you, they missed a big opportunity to put the nightshade trim on a more powerful version.
How toyota can make such a beautiful and ugly cars at tbe same time. Each component looks nice, but all together is rediculous
It probably comes down to the price point target.
Between this thing the KIA k4 and the cyber truck its a close call for ugliest vehicle of the decade award 😖🫣
Wow, that's pretty harsh considering there's the Chevy Trailblazer and the Hyundai venue out there
