This example just has the reservoir zip tied in place. The big feed hose to the pump and smaller hose coming from the cooler were just replaced with longer generic ones from the auto parts store. The pump is from a 4G Prelude.
I've been following the forum for years and been wanting to get the swap done. Also I just saw the one you did with the nsx with 4ws. That's my ultimate dream car with 4ws. Was wondering if there's any way you can help me with the swap. I live out in San Diego and have my 91 prelude under a car cover. I also have a acura tl awd stick shift. I wish I could put that j-series in my prelude. It would be my dream to get a h22 smog legal prelude in California.
I think it's possible to get it smog legal, people have done it before. However I don't know the current requirements. If it's just a car you drive on occasion have you considered just registering it in Montana? I know of another Cali 3G owner that did that for his imported JDM one because the Cali laws are just too much of a pain to deal with.
You can leave it if you want, just less room to route an intake. You can also just get the master cylinder, proportioning valve, and hard lines from a 3G without abs and swap them in to get rid of all the abs stuff. These are custom axles from Raxles. However you can also use stock 90-93 Accord axles and the Accord half-shaft, but that is only for 90-91 Preludes with the larger splines in the hubs. 88-89 only options are custom Raxles or switching over to 90-91 hubs so that the Accord axles can be used.
@@jordanfragoso3827 Just tell Marty at RAxles you have an H22 swap and your year, he knows what to do. If you have an M2B4 trans let him know that as well as it requires an extra short right axle. The Accord axles with the Accord half shaft should have worked though... If you got them from a parts store you might want to try exchanging them. When I replaced the axles on my 92 Accord I had to return one of them twice because they kept giving me the wrong one.

you know you don't need the vacuum box with the JDM H22 since there's no EGR. just need to put the MAP sensor elsewhere.

got any more info on that ps reservoir relocation? Which hoses did you folks use and is that a fith gen ps pump on this swap?

Have you ever done a H2B on these chassis ? I hear lots of H series who do H22 to 23 go H2B with a B series tranny

so I have the 3rd gen that has abs what do you do about the extra reservoir located next to the fuse box?

If you can't do it yourself you will need to find a local speed shop/tuner.
