      I do a lot of pressure canning. beans for example are canned in glass jars for a minimum of 20 under 10lbs of pressure. do they still need to be pressure cooked before eating? I'd like to see more info on pressure canning for this diet.

      Hi Dr Gundry, I do hope you will read this. I am a 46 year old woman recovering from psychiatry. I believe there is so much information needed to help people recover from the terrible damage of psych drugs on the microbiome. I was forced to take lithium for 5 years as unfortunately I was in a psychosis, but praise God I am now well again but having to deal with the devastation of multiple psych drugs on my system. Giving lithium to people in high doses is simply ignorance. If you were to address this issue, millions of people would be helped as I have scoured the internet for infomormation and hope that my microbiome will recover eventually. I went up "against the system" and started to heal myself with food and it has worked to a large degree. I am still on a journey and going to now read your book which sounds amazing. We need someone like yourself to speak up against psychiatric drugs or in the very least teach people how to recover from them. I have read extremely widely on this topic and if you are interested in communicating with me as a "psychiatric survivor" I would give you my email address. I do understand there are many pressures on your time. Lastly a question: I was told after a recent ultra sound scan of my stomach that I have a lot of air in my bowels, this is horrible for me as of course would love a flat tummy again! I suspect there are bits of lithium still stuck in my bowel and wonder what your advice is re colonic irrigation? Is it something you have looked into?       Hi! Please recommend which oil would be a good replacement for avocado oil in 3 day detox. There's no way I can find avocado or perilla oil anywhere in Serbia(I've been looking everywhere) and also these products on Amazon do not ship to Serbia...

    History of ulcerative colotis here. I fixed a lot through traditional Chinese med and naturopathic med but Gundry’s diet has basically allowed me to drop most of my natural supplements and i’m not even doing the diet 100%. Much appreciation for Gundry’s work. The guy is a genius and this diet is a no brainer for anyone with health issues.

    Everything your body is is because of what you eat. I wholeheartedly believe in Dr. Gundry's saying "It's not what you start eating, it's what you stop eating." I've lost 30 pounds in 6 months when I started the plant paradox and I've kept it off and continue to keep them off.

    You are saving my life! This is not easy to do... but I am beginning to see wellness like I have never seen before. I keep watching you, and your books... I am learning so much. You are breaking history with this... I have suffered with leaky gut all of my life....I am 65. No one has come up with this like you, You are an amazing man, and I am so grateful for you!

      Battling OMNICRON, which already had challenges, of trying to breathe...my lungs were congested, my voice dropped a few baritone levels, I was on Prednisone and inhaler ..never had symptoms of breathing issues in my life...I started with blueberries and kiwi, with lemon, in bottled water...I added yougurt...lunch was cranberries, a small chocolate bar, threw up, with diarrhea...!?
      Dinner was baked fish, cooked mushrooms and colored peppers...green tea...is the vomiting and diarrhea, part of the cleanse !? Or an after effect, of OMNICRON !? Never so sick, as I had been with OMNICRON, as I was bed-ridden...I always enjoy your podcasts, because I always come away learning something new...

    Hi Dr. Gundry I did the 3 day cleanse 100% and it worked. It has been 2 weeks today and I have been able to choose not to eat junk. I was skeptical about no fruits and tomatoes but was 198lbs now in just two weeks 191.6. I also can't afford the free range eggs and meat yet because I am a student/mom working part time but it has been working either way. I am going to see how my health levels are next time I go to the Dr. Thanks.

      what autoimmune disorder, exactly, if you don`t mind sharing....my doctor suspecting this and the ultrasound of my liver revealed fatty liver....she is still suspecting something else....hepatic autoimmune, is what I think she`s going to diagnose me with....it`s a long while until any AID is diagnosed.

      The scam is that he promotes the consumption of oxadized oils and carcinogenic plants... that still contain lectins, though just in lower ammounts. And nuts also contain phytic acid that blocks the absorption of essential nutrients.
      And one serving a day is not plenty... 16oz of meat per say is in the ideal range.

      The number of heart surgeries this quack has done has no correlation to his knowledge of nutrition. This is pseudoscience that has no basis in nutritional reality. You do lose weight when your wallet is lighter by the stack of money he gets for his book and supplements.

      What does performing Heart surgery have to do with any of this, he made a commitment to people, took an oath to care for them, not to mention made tons of money doing so. but why wait until 20 years later to share this information, but ok whatever.

    My hubby lost 8 pounds but I lost only four pounds. However I know I would’ve lost a lot more because My body was instantly responding , during this detox I let my emotions get to me so I ate a bag of hot Cheetos. I’m so ashamed. But it definitely is a jump start. Those four pounds lost mean so much, I will continue this

      Cheetos don't equal 4 lbs. But they are certainly inflammatory. Men and women respond differently. Do yourself a favor and don't compare apples to oranges.

    I've went on a pescatarian diet before. Went from 220 to 184. The first day or 2 I pooped more than I did my entire life lol. I had energy and felt great. Then started drinking and caring less and started eating red meat again. I haven't drank now in a couple years but am 220 again. I feel this diet would be good but I think my pescatarian diet was just as good. I didn't count calories. I ate whenever I was hungry and just avoided eggs, milk, meat anything from animals. Still ate fish, shrimp, oysters. If I did it again I would also add soy to avoid.

      @@samanodun6257 yes, still on it ànd lost 33 lbs. Blood pressure back to normal like eggs and bacon for lunch on even days and a head of Romain lettuce on odd. Supper is usually meat and greens, no carbs.

    Hello Dr Gundry! I've been eating 'your way' since the 18th May this year, and have lost 10 kilos and never felt better. Born 1963 I'll turn 60 next year. Things I'd like to hear about include :- Are the effects of clogged arteries reversible if one stays on a healthy diet. I have noted daily blood pressure which has reduced which is good I guess. When I am losing weight and in a healthy mode I usually follow Dr Hays food combining (veg-aquarian as you would say!) I would be very interested to hear what you think about the FC argument.     I cut out all he suggested foods before finding him I had started with Keto (only thing not addressed was lectins with Keto) , I cut out everything probably 3 days before starting Keto, felt ok, I went to the store to get suggested foods and started eating suggested meals. I got horribly sick and have yet to recover, I am now on Plant Paradox and this is my second day. While I know my body is purging (detoxing), but it wasn't before I began eating Keto's way I began throwing up. Here's why, for me, I eat more closely to Dr Gundry's way, normally I rarely eat red meats and I would even go as far as not eat any meat for several months just to cleanse my colon. I decided the Keto's diet is not for me, I cannot eat all that butter, all that red meat and all the suggested fats (which much of it was butter), my body truly rejects such foods and always has. I have yet to be able to eat, my body is telling me "fast" and I will assume this is just as good as Dr Gundry's 3 day kick-start cleanse, probably actually better since they push fasting being good for you. Tomorrow is day 3, I hope my body will want food but if not I hope by day 4 in phase 2 I will start to feel like eating. Question, if anyone can answer this, not sure Dr Gundry monitors his videos probably not, Is (body enforced) a fast better or at least just as good as the 3 day kick-start? I don't want to start over I want to move on body allowed.

(green, cancer fighting, protein, multi-vitamin/superfoods) i would love recipes i can use every day in addition to plant paradox (id prefer fresh smoothies instead of powdered ones) FYI i use vital reads & bio greens in my every day smoothies & love it! but i would prefer fresh :) thanks

      @@ThandsTV It went very well for a few months. I kept going with it along with the one-meal-a-day plan for a few more monts. Total of 8 monts. Then I fell off the wagon starting eating junk food again. Never got back on my feet ever since.

    Dr Gundry the diet has really helped me. There is lots of cooking involved and that is fine but sometimes you need something quick. Could you pleas do a video on all the "ready made" stuff you can buy in the store that is compliant for Phase 2 for us folks who have illness and this will be a forever diet for us.

    I have started p paradox diet. Potatoes; okay if cooked in a pressure cooker. Is using a pressure cooker a good way of removing lectins from.other foods? I hope you have time to answer this question.

    I like the idea but I wonder if the doctor has some recommendations for people not interested in losing weight (rather wanting to gain) that have digestion issue, like avocado, any onion family, cabbage and nuts as a whole. I read the book, interesting, however, doesn't seem to address a different issue like mine...

      It’s not a weight lose diet, people tend to lose weight as the inflammation goes down. Those who are under weight will put it back on. It’s more a sign the body is coming into balance

    Hey Dr. Gundry I am a fan of your work. I am gonna buy in on everything your saying and give it a try. I used to think fruit was good all year round. I was wondering if you can explain a diet that will make me very productive and also maintain muscle throughout my workouts? The productivity is so I can get more research done throughout the day.

    Does tea count as 8 glass of water if you have 8 cups of tea a day? Or is pure water the only water that is counted for drinking plenty of water?

    Everyone in my family ends up with Arrhythmia. I am mostly a vegetarian and eat tons of fiber- but does taking fish oil make a difference? What if I took the algae derived version of omega 3?

    A friend referred me to "The Plant Paradox" book and I am raring to get started. Thank you for your book and videos.
    Just one question, I have Hashimoto's. Do I need to stop my thyroid medication while doing the cleanse and diet for 6 weeks, or should I continue? When should I check my thyroid profile again? Awaiting a response :)

      Lots of reasons why you can feel sick. Keto adaptation. Detoxifying your body. Usually stuff that makes your body feel better makes you feel worse first/during.
      Exercise, cold showers, sauna etc.

      @@johnannaburke1625 I drink bone broth and alkaline water and eat things like chicken, fish and potatoes. I can't eat vegetables right now because it makes the gas worse. I'm healing but its very slow. I also drink lots of unsweetened tea and fruit smoothies.

      I think it's very important to Note that the Dr would not, at least, include the answer (even just one word, a Yes or No) in his reply. It's obviously more important and inconsiderate of him, to try to increase his Views - thus his income. This along with other red-flags he has raised, can't help but make one wonder how much of all this may be exaggerations, at best, of a Salesman not a caring, thoughtful and considerate doctor ... I just found this Dr today and entered his name and the word "Quack" in the search box above - suggest you do the same. There's too many videos for me to point to.

    Fresh leafy greens are recalled so much I'm afraid to buy them anymore. When I do buy green vegetables I cook them. I live where it's winter 8 months a year so everything is shipped in and my couple windows face north. The month or 2 I can grow them I do but last year bugs ate everything. Trust me I'm not a problem for every solution kind of person but not sure what to do.

    I heard that 8 glasses of 8 oz water per day and 1 extra for every 10 lbs of weight your over.
    I had a Loma Linda diet doctor in 2015. I did eat what he said and yes and a diet pill. In 2 month I lost 48 lbs and went from 12 to a 6 My kids were mad called me names. Too thin mom... They never saw me thin before. So I was attacked from both sides. After being injured by the guy..guess what Steroids seemed to be the major answer to all pain. Jeez. Now I'm back where I started and I feel like Crap. 5 years older and I feel hopeless.😰

    I was talking to a friend a few minutes ago. We were talking about weight-loss. He was telling me that peanuts are terrible for our body and that I should not eat the skin of the tomatoes. I replied that I'm following a doctor on TH-cam. He replied, "Is not he heart doctor?". Then I knew he was talking about Dr. Gundry.

      Thanks for bringing this up i didn't realize that there was a serious study conducted with a book. I have heard about various places around the world, like Sardinia, Okinawa and even in the Caucasus mountains where the people are healthy and living much longer lives than the average American does. I think we can learn alot by studying each geographic area (country/culture) and perhaps incorporate some of their lifestyle methods into our lives.
