    Sam, you are an incredibly musician man. The way you play around and explore is so effortless and inspired.

    Is that a Hammond B3 portable in the background? I love the PolyBrute 12.

    You've been on YT for 3 years? How is this channel not waaay bigger? I just bought the polybrute 12 and your video was way too many scrolls down. It should absolutely be #1 for the search I put in. @ArturiaOfficial sponsor this channel! All the other channels only do boring ambient demos, this is soooo much better.

    I’ve had mine for like a week and I just love it. It does a bajillion different things, but somehow Arturia made it super simple to get along with. It’s like it just invites you to explore and imagine where you can go with every sound you start working on.

    Sam Arturia need to send all their release units to you just to hear you play.
    The A B morph knob transitions between two patches, set it to the middle and then try throwing it all the way to A and then B. The Polybrute is an awesome inspiring synth which is a tactile inspiring experience to interact with.

      The A B Morph is one of my absolute favorite features. And yes, the tactile nature of it is incredibly inspiring.

    my god its also a drone monster for all kinds of hellish sounds, those editting gadgets come across very cool. i actually like the imperfect doors organ thing, it would actually rock.

    • @SamGutman
      @SamGutman  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It definitely is sick for drones

    Would be interested to see if the gate can be assigned to the Z axis of the Morphée so that one could hold down keys but they make no sound until the Morphée is pressed. (The Nonlinear Labs C15 has this kind of thing going on as an option in splits such that one side of the split can act as the gate for the other side.)

    That was a great demo, thanks Sam.
    It has several performance tricks, but the core sound just always makes me think space/sci-fi soundtrack (and, now, also organ/Doors cover-band …).
    Perhaps it does a lot more besides, but I don’t tend to hear it doing so amongst all the demos … 🤷🏻‍♂️
    PS - I’m pretty sure that color is called ‘Jizzmop Beige’ … #WhenNoir ?!

    • @SamGutman
      @SamGutman  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes I think that's the official Pantone name for that color.

      @@SamGutman you know he is the biggest troll on YT on his 36th account in 5 years and craps on all other content creators?
      He went after Miles Away all because he did a demo of the TEO 5 that he paid with his own money, calling him a shill and just general abuse.

    100% honest, having one too. They messed up on the presets. They should have categorized the over 500 by type and should have gotten some old school Moog/Sequential/Oberheim sound designers to create some additional meat and potatoes patches. Just my opinion though...

    • @cnfuzz
      @cnfuzz 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Having heard the demo's on this i do not think it is any good for the standard synth sounds , it has it's own vibe going

    • @SamGutman
      @SamGutman  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Certainly if they were categorized by type it would be a huge help. Doesn't seem like it would be too much of a stretch to implement that.

    • @fleetadmiralsidiqi1941
      @fleetadmiralsidiqi1941 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@cnfuzz true to a degree, but there are probably 4 or 5 oscillator modifiers that do put you closer to those classic sounds (new metalizer, analog accuracy to name a few) that I notice the majority of their presets ignore. Not sure why.

    • @frenchysound
      @frenchysound 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      @@SamGutman You can select the presets by Type!
      Hold down the Presets button and turn the Amount knob to select a Type. The LEDs in the matrix will show you which presets are from the currently selected Type.

      @@cnfuzzIsn’t the point of a synth to design your own sounds? Certainly this has the capability to give you some of the more famous 80’s synth or “standard” synth sounds and much more.
