Nice honest build, I like it, the colours are a bit subjective but I like the try and restore it into a good condition, honest working bike without replacing every imperfect part like you see on so many builds on youtube with an open checkbook.
I appreciate that man! The colors definitely look best in the newer video where I install the graphics as well. But yea, I don't have an unlimited budget like some people so I had to do the best with what I had!
@@TwoStrokeJ You know what I actually had a look at the 2nd video just after I had commented on this one, and I thought that it did actually all kinda match up colour wise pretty nice compared to my initial impression of seeing all the individual parts looking like a bag of pick and mix lol

Yea the basket is a bit grooved but I couldn’t bring myself to buy a new one for like $300 haha
RMS, always when it comes to a 2 smoke
i do it with a wood screw on Harleys but i use a slide hammer puller to pop the seal after i get the screw in

@@TwoStrokeJ Your welcome bro and I had a yz 250 1992 for a few years and I still have my 2001 cr 250 but I always wanted a 300cc I going to put big bore kit on it and make some videos of the build for TH-cam you can’t beat a 2 stroke I was brought up around them 😊😊

The handlebars in this video are pro taper cr high’s. But I actually change them out for a different one in the next video

what 250cc engine would u recommend putting on a kinetic TFR the rear wheel will use sprockets so a cant use anything with a CVT my goal is to cruse at 65mph i know im gonna have to redesign and build a hole new subframe and probably end up using a bigger rear wheel since the tfr uses 16inch rims
not sure I can offer advice on that bro, sounds more intense than my knowledge!

there was some smoke coming out from the connecting between the muffler and the pipe. Take care of it or your subframe/frame will be all black from oil. That build is nicee!

I love the build and the fact that you have learned all mechanics off of youtube is just great.
But, i see one broblem and that broblem is that you never changed the front sproket. and it doesn't look that good to ride especially because you changed the back sproket. The bike looks phenomenal and i love the attention to detail. Great build so far!!
Yea I actually didn’t change the rear either it’s the same one that was on it. I think once I ride the bike and feel it out I will buy some replacements that are the gearing I want

only thing you need is a new pipe or refinish this one. the dents just look so gnarly

You really should put lectron carb or smartcarb for more torq and to have it at perfect tune. And why not replace crank and every bottom end bearing while you were at it?
really came down to time and money, it's summer, I want to ride the bike, and it woulda been just way over my budget to buy all new bottom end stuff too
The black on the forks kinda makes them look like the old school ones with the rubber sleeves at a glance

I'm about to get my driver's license, and here in Germany you get a small motorcycle driver's license in addition to the car driver's license.
So I wanted to ask you for some advice on which bike to give a try. My limitations are 50cc and 45km/h -> 28mph

I wonder if you can triple cross pattern the spoke for the wheel like in mtb for solidity ?
I don't think so, the hubs and wheels are designed so the spokes can only go one way. I don't think you have as much freedom on these as you would on a mountain bike wheel.
