Trey Cochran Yep. I remember it like it was last week. I saved my allowance to go buy 7-Wishes when it came out. Used to just hang out in my room listening to it over and over again. The world was slower then. And we didnt seem to have as many problems. Great days.

+Neil Tipton Sometimes after listening to a song like this, i close my eyes and i recall faces, laughters, even scents of these times. I remember my teenage love asking me if i like her new hair bow of lace (Madonna style) and telling me "here i bought one for your little sis too" . And then we just listened to music for hours, kissed and were HAPPY...

N Ranger was always a great live band. Their vocals were always in key and their timing was always tight. The choruses here are esp great. They're practically indistinguishable from the album(that's no small feat).
And yes, Kelly(drummer) has a stellar voice. Even if some one else in the band had wrote this song, they would've been crazy not to let him sing it. Blades has an amazing voice as well but Kelly was born to sing Sister Christian.

Agreed Dan, (was in several alternative and pop punk bands in the late 90's-early 2k's) drummers who can sing lead like that have excellent control over every part of their body. I could barely do backup vocals while maintaining my groove..
However vocals aside, theres notthing difficult about playing this song.

I have a weird imagination. Back when I was a kid in the '80's, and I first heard this song, I thought it was about a guy trying to convince a young woman not to become a nun. Nuns are Christians, and the younger/lower ranking nuns are called "sisters."
    Actually, according to Wikipedia:
The song is about Keagy's little sister, Christy. Keagy wrote the
song at his apartment, near Divisadero and California streets in San Francisco, after he had just returned from a visit to his hometown of Eugene, Oregon. He had been struck at how fast his teenaged sister, 10 years younger than he was, was growing up.[3]
"After we started playing it a lot, Jack turned to me and said, 'What
exactly are you saying?'" Keagy recalled. "He thought the words were
Sister Christian, instead of Sister Christy, so it just stuck."[3]
And that word "motorin'?" I couldn't figure out what that word was. From the same article:
"The lyric, "You're motoring. What's your price for flight? In finding
Mr. Right?" is the subject of much debate. The band stated in a VH-1 Behind the Music interview[4] that the term "motoring" was synonymous with the term "cruising."

These guys were really pretty awesome. If you listen to much of their stuff live, they rarely if ever miss a note and in 20 plus years touring you could count on one hand the number of nights where they didn't play great. True professionals. And all of them are cool dudes. I'm sure you all know this, the guitarist, Brad Gillis, did the Tour with Ozzy Osborne when Randy Rhodes died. He learned something like 15-20 songs on the flight to meet the band on the road.

This was music at its finest. I am proud to have grown up in that era. This crap they call music now days where punk rap idiots don't even know what a musical instrument is, much less how to actually play one. Any 5 year old can make a track on fruit loops and be a rap star. Long live real music.

I know right, like its not music for someone to,pull out a computer and play annoying music while they check their facebook. How does anyone like new music or go to electronic concerts

I had a Yamaha Electric Grand in 1983 --- surely these guys could afford one also. Alan's using a friggin' Rhodes instead.
